I'm probably a little late, but I'm pretty sure you have to look at the actual stats of characters in your party. That worked in all 3 runs that I've done.
the reverse stone? okay 1. the formation of the stone , same as your party member 2. go to corpse to get clue . the clue is random 3. in my case, i got FIGHTER , so u must reverse the stone same as your FIGHTER position in your party, in my case i dont bring any FIGHTER so, i destroy all the stone

I found easy way, Pick Elf in your team and reverse only status at Elf's position. ❤ Cheers mate. @@elmadraso
If you thief is on the back to the left, leave only the statue on the back left and destroy the others
Lowest HP or lowest strength I think. In my case I just restored the statue position occupied by my mage yekaterina
