Jake, that is an excellent Waffle maker. I just replaced mine with another just like it. The old one was over 30 years old and still working but the plastics on it were shot. Love Mackenzie and have an aunt that lives in Silverton.
The waffle maker was on loan from my loving mother for the video. She is extremely fond of it too, so much so that I was almost not trusted to take it camping! I hope to someday see the water levels rise back to where they were when I was 18-20. Lots of fun weekends with friends were had raising hell and cliff jumping.
Just watched all your videos, very impressed. I have a lot of experience with building and remodeling from houses and cabinetry to cars and boats. From the mechanics to bodywork. I started rebuilding trailers as a hobby a few years ago and became completely fascinated with truck campers and overlanding. My next project will be building a trailer from scratch. I have seen many videos of people building a camper and love what you did. Very thoughtful design and great execution. I have so many questions. But for now thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks for watching Jon! We have a similar background, and I think you probably have plenty of skill to build something similar. You can find my email on the channel page if you would like to reach out directly. I would be happy to answer any questions that you have!
@@ThatJakeWorldWide I have always chosen to buy and repair existing campers. Since they are built like crap and will inevitably need repairs anyway. But by starting with an existing camper I could reuse all the expensive components. I.E. Fridge, A/C, oven, fixtures, tanks! But I am sure it would be easier to just build one from scratch rather then doing the repairs and reinventing the wheel fixing bad manufacturing processes. Also I am some what of a minimalist but require certain luxuries like a kitchen and full bathroom with a shower. This has led me to designing an overlanding pop-up truck camper. At this point I have been researching alternative materials/mechanicals for the different pieces. your video was very informative on the use and rigidity of foam.
Dude, great video! You're getting better and better with your vlogging videos! You ended up with an epic camping spot. I enjoyed the cooking, but Dale is the icing on the cake. 🐕
Hey Jake ,next time, potatoes pancakes, but try 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and some sherred cheese ,salt to taste, you can cook in a pan or drop them in oil like a fritter, you think Dolly knows they got one of her old bras...lol
Excellent stuff! Subscribed. Your ingenuity and skill really shines thru, as does your humor. I really want to build a foamie scamp sized trailer. I miss my old trailer, but man, the quality of commercial trailers are terrible. I'll never buy another.
Thanks! At one time I owned a 40' fifth wheel toy hauler and the build quality was atrocious. Popsicle sticks and cardboard! Well almost, but yeah you would have to be a fool to buy a mass manufactured RV.
I’m glad I found your channel. You did really good on your camper. I’m wanting to do something similar. I have a 93 ford ranger. Hard to find campers for them. I also really did your setup for cooking. I use a jackery battery for all my lights. Do you have any plans on your build or was this all creative work? Thanks again for the video’s. Keep them coming
Thanks Mike! I did a few sketches by hand, but mostly the final form was dictated by making good use of the space available. I wanted a lightweight, somewhat aero final product. The design choices were made with that in mind. The kitchen was inspired by an Australian company "Drifta" with my own touches. Thanks for watching!
Hey jake, do you have a list of the materials you used for your build? Like foam boards, list of materials for fiber glass? You’re amazing sir! I want to do a build for my taco and would really appreciate the materials you used!
Thanks for watching! I'll run through the most important materials really quickly, your design will determine the details. Foam- 2" xps Foamular 150 Glass- 6-8 oz/yd I tend to buy based on value from thayercraft.com Epoxy- all these products come from US Composites Epoxy- I used a mixture of slow/med/fast resins. buy in bulk for the best price. I used 6 gallons for this build. 3m glass microballoons- mix with epoxy for making "micro" filler. Easy sanding. I used 4 gallons for this build. cotton flock-mix with epoxy for a high strength filler. Difficult sanding. Seldomly used. Tongue depressors for mixing I buy these products locally, and as cheap as possible- 4-8 oz mixing cups- dollar store or equivalent Nitrile Gloves- Harbor freight Hope this helps!
Jake, one more question. Do you think it would be possible to make a bed over cab style slide in using your technique? Do you think the fiberglass (correctly applied with foam and wood supports) would be able to support a bed over cab design? Thank you for all of your help. Your skill and videos are amazing.
A cabover is 100% possible. Im really itching to build another, and it will be a cabover design. I will add a longitudinal spar inset in the foam (like all the other wood pieces) that extends from the most forward base of the cabover portion to the rear. With the rigidity of the foam core construction I don't think that that is really even necessary, but its cheap peace of mind. You can find my email on the Chanel about page, as well as my instagram. Feel free to reach out with any questions using either. Good luck with your project!
Hi Jake, you’ve been camping in the camper a few months now. I am thinking of building a foam camper mainly for the weight savings. No one seems to build them light enough. I am really wanting to do a cab over on mine. Do you think the foam sandwich panels are strong enough on their own or should I be thinking of incorporating a wood or aluminum frame for support.
Hello, I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier regular cab. Toppers for them are really rare and I can’t find one. I am going to be living out of my truck in a week. I would love to pay you to make a topper for me as I will not have the time with everything else going on. Let me know
Hey Joseph, I'm not dead yet! We have been getting record setting rainfall, and that has forced the temporary closure of many of the local areas that I frequent. I am working on a few videos that cover some of the things I've been doing.

Thanks Phillip! Sharing these adventures with Dale is so much fun, I wouldn't have it any other way.

There are so many places named after Dolly, if you type her name in on google maps its kind of shocking. Thanks for watching Syd!
Dang girl them sammiches looked good!
Top tier dawg, I'll make you one sometime.
Hope your summer is going well

He's a little mischievous too!

Love the camper build. Great job. Subscribed. Where did you source your windows?
Thanks Thomas! The windows came from a marketplace camper shell. I paid $20 or $25 bucks for it!
👍👍

No additional structure needed for a cabover.
Have you ever tried the jalapeño bread and butter pickles? If not, I would definitely recommend.
I haven't, I'll have to check them out. The Best Maid classic hamburger chip is the best pickle out there!
@@ThatJakeWorldWide you may change your mind when you try the jalapeño bread and butter.
I love hot pickles. The Smokey pokey in Orlando Oklahoma has a good bread and butter pickle
Hey Jake are you going to release any new video soon I miss watching your app
