This is the deck I’ve been using since day 1. The game blessed me early with all cards needed so I ran with it. It has off days but there’s no stopping it when things go right.
Charizard EX doesn't need to be stopped if he never gets going. *My Charizard EX deck is named "Ash's useless Zard" cause he NEVER COOPERATES!!!* Edit: I suppose it's fair to mention that I don't have Moltres. Zard doesn't like to get up for work on time without his Moltres sugar daddy. Well, I recently opened more packs, annnnnd... I still don't have Moltres. But I have an alternative! I call it "Lard-Zard". Double Charizard EX line Double Meowth Double Snorlax It's painfully slow, but when you lack the ideal cards, you just gotta cope.
@@SurrealKeenan yeah hand scope + red card is an odd choice. You're essentially playing with 2 cards less in your own deck. 2 fossils are much stronger and provide more versatility to your deck
@@redulus1792 red card is still RNG, two fossils is basically like a shield for u especially in the charizard deck where u have one clear objective for u to achieve. Fossils have won me a lot of games believe it or not.
I decided to give Char EX a try. Definitely a good deck. Moltres EX can provide tons of energy if you mange to keep it alive until your Charizard is on the field.
This deck is vulnerable to energy issues if your ordering/positioning is disrupted or you have a bad starting hand//coin flip luck. I like having fossils because it's self-discard affect is essentially a free retreat, insulates your bench against Sabrina, and is only worth 1 point if it gets KO'd (some games you might have a Charmander or another fossil knocked out and you absolutely need a non-EX to tank sometimes).
I think having a couple fossils would be more beneficial in the Char deck than having the scope and red card. Scope and card work best together, and they can feel like bricks if you don’t have the other. At least Fossil can help prevent your baby Charmander from getting Sabrina’d and picked off before you get it evolved.
I’ve probably got around 10 matches in with this deck and I love using scope around mid game, when you can tell they’re looking or have their evolutions in their hand 🤣 with the two Xspeeds, I found it very uncommon that my Charmander was getting picked off because I could swap him for free
@ If your opponent Sabrinas you, would you rather get a card you don’t need knocked out by Mewtwo, or your Gardevoir knocked out by Mewtwo? Fossils can help guard against Sabrina and lose a lower value Target. Plus they can’t be searched by Pokeball, and can be discarded for no retreat cost, so they are better than running Meowth/Kangaskhan in some cases.
I like to run rapidash in my char ex deck. You can apply pressure and make them think about what mon to have active. It seems to make the deck more consistant imo. It gives you an alt gameplan if you can't get char online early game.
I just have to say, i appreciate you for showing me this deck, I was thinkering with a Charizard deck but I just couldn’t get it right, saw this video noticed I had all the card necessary and now I’m racking in those wins, currently at 36, so thank you, I definitely subbed and am looking forward to future vids
As someone who has almost exclusively used Char since launch (because it's all I have) the first battle here showed me how vital deck knowledge and experience was. There was never any question you should have been bringing in a 5 energy Char to KO Zapdos and get 2 points knowing you could kill whatever else came in.... and then on the next turn retreating Charmander was a waste, you could have just let it die to bring Char back in and if they Sabrina'ed you who cares because they couldn't kill you. I do agree on the whole though that Zard is a frustrating deck when it goes wrong, the only decision I ever had to make with mine was "Am I giving up on Zard here and hoping Arcanine is enough?" I still haven't got Moltres EX though so....
That throw in Game 2 as well.... why is he KOing a Moltres with less health and zero energy over KOing a Moltres with more health and full energy? Ridiculous from the opponent.
I run two Meowth in this. Helps me draw when i start with a bad hand, easy to retreat, removed one Sabrina because it gets in the starting hand too often and removed a potion.
I wish you showed matches where you went first. Showing how the deck performs when you aren't putting energy down first I think would be a good showing of the deck.
This deck is one of the few that doesn't mind going first. One of the only benefits of going first is being able to evolve first, which this deck can make use of. The only penalty of going first is no Energy, which doesn't matter because Moltres is going to generate so much energy anyways.
One thing I find really strong about this deck is how moltres ex can just be put down early into the game, where most cards don't do that much damage, so aside from Pikachu decks which can put a lot of pressure on it early on, moltres can kinda just hang around for a while in the active spot just charging up the zard thanks to it being a base pokemon with 140hp. Which is perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
I’ve been running a variation of this deck with centiskorch instead of char ex just cause my abysmal pack luck has prevented me from getting a single char ex yet but it is suuuuch a fun deck
I combine this and a Blaine deck with the rapidash line and a farfetched. Gives a little more versatility to counter weaknesses early on while building. A surprise 70 damage from dash is clutch at times
Baby moltres fits really well in this deck! 1 retreat cost, 100hp are really good numbers and then sometimes in desperate times you flip a heads and instakill a pika/starmie ex with a 1 prizer
I hope they focus on Gen 2 next. So Typhlosion ex, Feraligatr ex, Meganium ex, Ho oh ex, and Lugia ex would be expected. And if they do more I’d like to see Scizor ex, Steelix ex, Houndoom ex, Kingdra ex, and Donphan ex at least.
New to your channel since I downloaded PTCGP but have been enjoying it. That said, the battles in this one mostly showcased opponents with bad hands or even bad choices. Second Pikachu EX fight would have been won by the opponent even, had they not made the mistake of swapping the Moltress with all the energy to the bench. Overall, the Charizard EX deck doesn't seem like it comes online fast enough most of the time.
If y’all can’t can’t get moltres like me and are just stacking up the card points you should try running a double vulpix and double nine tails deck with the Blaine support card. You can win almost every early game.

I literally just stopped one by using blitzle to kick at it on the bench over and over while the person kept trying to feed it with energy and ignoring the one that was active
I feel like to make Red Card good there has to be a card that functions like Koga against the opponent. Where you return the opponents active pokemon to their hand then just shuffle it away
I just wanted to pull a starmie for my Blastoise deck ended up with a charizard deck because I got 2 Moltress and 2 Charizard exs before a single starmie. Cant complain Moltress is so much better then freaking misty
I´m playing 1 char ez and 1 centiskorch, being a Stage1 is so huge, killed many enemys so far with its 130 and with giovarni it 1shots many Ex´es. Pika exc decks get roasted, as well as Starmie. I'm enjoying Charizard so far. Even if I can't get that second Moltres EX to fully round out the roster. But Charizard is fun. Need some luck to be sure. But if you get him set on the field...just nukes everything. And with so many EX Pokemon out there...he only needs to attack twice!

I tried running 8 pokemon in a deck and it never gets going always pulling only trainer or item cards. Now im running 10-12 Pokemon inside a deck and i get consistent results in pulling what i need.
I haven't put a single euro into the game but I keep getting Charizard EX cards. When I want normal cards, I already have 4 but they can't be exchanged.
I don't have charizard EX but I'm having fun with the poor man's charizard, my man centiscorch lmao. I'm having fun fitting him into double energy decks (they're inconsistent but I don't care, they're super fun), since at first he can fight with any energy, and the he only needs 1 fire energy, it can fit very well into those decks. I DESTROYED a weezing using 2 centiscorch, 1 starmie, 1 regular articuno and 1 snorlax (i only have 1 normal Articuno, but you could change lax for that or maybe regular lapras). If you're lucky with the mistys articuno can cause havock, if not, he's a decent wall with only 1 retreat cost. In the end i had my centiscorch with 3 fire energy's and 2 waters, there's was nothing ge could do, he didn't have enough damage or time to kill me, i one shoted every thing and if he used sabrina, i had a healthy starmie to escape his weezing

Different deck same play style, race who can build their ace Pokemon first😂 stall here and there is they had to Also also, is ditto ex a thing? Cus I'd like to see what they do for it 🤣
My only issue with my char deck is the fact that sometimes I swear I draw every item and trainer card and i never draw the char evolutions or my fckn pokeball only grabs moltres
Just want to say that all of the replays are going second, which in by nature already give winning percentage 80%. That is game flaw btw. But, It would be nice to also give replay for going first.
I can say this deck is one of the few that doesn't mind going first, since that allows you to evolve earlier, and Moltres' Inferno Dance will more than make up for not getting an energy turn 1.
Intro of the video mentions playing red card to test it out. First play of the video is the opponent giving you a perfect hand with red card right after you saw your draw and complained (rightfully) about how you need a perfect hand to have a good game with Charizard. lmao

Also char Vs Mewtwo matchup is funny as hell. Different deck same play style, race who can build their ace Pokemon first😂 stall here and there is they had to
Also also, is ditto ex a thing? Cus I'd like to see what they do for it 🤣
Not sure about what EXs they could add, but I do hope they give us Rare Candy.
I only play unite when theres somethig I really wanna try but I missed you cowboy
An umberon ex would be awesome to counter all the mewtwos 😂
I just concede immediately.
I dont have Moltres ex for this deck.
I wanna see a 5 mon bench with bigger decks. Give me a reality where I can actually pull in my Dragonite
I mean with the infite Misty aka Lavados, Charizard is cracked like Pikachu IF u dont brick - Auto win actually
I got 230 something wins and most of them have been with Charizard deck.
Intro of the video mentions playing red card to test it out. First play of the video is the opponent giving you a perfect hand with red card right after you saw your draw and complained (rightfully) about how you need a perfect hand to have a good game with Charizard. lmao
who would win, an entire charizard deck or one angry punchy boi
