The problem with the tire sealant is that Tesla tires have a foam in them. If you have a puncture, the foam will prevent the sealant from getting to the punctured part to seal it. Get a battery powered portable air compressor and manual tire repair kit.
When I press the pump power button, the screen just flashes and nothing happens. Happened with my replacement 3.0 kit, too. Long press no difference. Any thoughts?
Mine does not flash when I hit the power button. The motor runs and it’s a constant lighted display even when the hose is not connected to the tire valve. It behaves the same way when I plug it to another car’s 12v. Have you tried plugging your unit in another car’s 12v source? If the same thing happens then maybe you have another defective unit. Btw, the power button is just one short press to turn on. The thing I dont like about it is that it is not tactile and doesnt actually “push down” like normal buttons. But if I press it right in the middle of the circle I was able to consistently turn it on or off.
This must be the most consumer unfriendly and unintuitive gadget put out by Tesla. Putting it back in the proper place after you you use it is also a challenge. i seriously don't Think Elon is aware of this product. He wouldn't have approved it.
