So you have $100,000 vehicle but $10 a month or 100/yr is pushing it?😅.... Ok
Don't forget the nanny. Lol
The house looks crazy, so I can see them pouring money into that
Was thinking that lol. A nanny and 1,500 payment on a car but 9.99 is too much 😂
Because people r full of it , and its a click bait 😂
Who pays $1700/month as lease? What a madness!
My last lease 425 a month . 2003 intrepid 3.5 loaded . Sweet car . Suckers born every second.
I know people that spent 3-5k a month on leases. Rich people problems
@@hopperbopperi have a gas car and a Tesla model 3. And I drive the model 3 whenever possible and just charge at work or home .
Way more convinent than driving to gas station and getting gas. If there are people who need to wait 60 mins to charge their car on a weekly basis. Maybe they shouldn't buy one.
Obviously different people have different use cases, for me the ev works better 99% of the time.
Hydrogen though I just don't see any future for it. It's energy inefficient because it requires electricity to extract the hydrogen from water and then later turns it back into electricity. Hydrogen is extremely flammable, wouldnt want to see a highly compressed hydrogen fueled car crashing and immediately explode.
But they’re saving $99/yr by not having premium connectivity 😉
Have y'all considered not everyone is poor, and you don't know these people?
I think it's funny when influencers film themselves in 'selfie' mode and it mirrors the video and then they don't correct it in post.
It would be awesome if a title called "why I will not be buying a Tesla x again" would actually be a 5 second video of a person giving a quick answer, saving us a lot of time.
Nanny - enough said….
$1700/mo lease and you won't pay $99/year for premium connectivity?
Makes no sense🤦♂️ she has no common sense
@@dominicanoloko not even that but you could use your phones hotspot to do it while driving without the subscription but its not common sense i guess
I was about to make this comment and you beat me to it. Exactly what I was thinking.....we got the room for the nanny, but we draw the line at $12.99 per month? Strange.
@@dominicanoloko I wish i could thumbs up 100 times, spot on.
Real caption: Why I will be buying a Tesla after 20k miles 👍😃
I wish the name of the video would actually be the topic of the actual video…
I love my Toyotas ! 145,000 mikes and regular service and zero problems !!!
Same here in the UK with our Corolla. Is it exciting to drive? No. Is it jammed with technology? No. But, in 20 years the total maintenance bill is less than $10,000 and it has never failed to start or let us down on a journey. And the steering wheel is just fine. We have had plenty of fancy cars over the years, this lady has learnt the same lessons as us, but rather more quickly, don't lease/buy new cars, don't be seduced by 'features'.
I think the Y is the best option
For the love of god rotate your tires!
It may not be feasible on the Model S & X
But how, don't the front one's stay on the front & the back one's stay on the back? Or maybe that comes with the lease, oh no i am as confused as her now, lol.
If it's supposed to be free, get the invoice in advance confirming the free maintenance service. You don't have to negotiate it, just ask for it.
I stopped watching when she said nanny.
😂yup same here
Just captions for me, they are bad enough & worth the extra giggle. No need to hear her trying to think & speak, too painful i would guess.
Haha, andmaking money off of that
Good review, but @3:24 race cars have a full steering wheels! It's called a yoke because it looks like Control wheel in a plane that's actually called a Yoke!
The screen is still useful even if you don't pay for the premium connectivity service, just setup a hotspot using your phone when you need it.
We have a 6 seater cause we got 2 kids and a nanny? Hahaha
About your tires: Tesla is known for "relaxed" adjusting the geometry of the weels. So very many cars suffer from problems like your front tire.
Having the tracks set by a good (not Service Center) shop will make the car better and not wearing the tires.
I’ve put over 130k miles on two model Xs with at least 40k driven in fsd…
I bought another one for my wife and a cybertruck for me..
Not perfect but pretty awesome if you have to make sub 200 mile trips/day often
Look at Marina growing up - I mean this in a good way. Priorities definitely change when you become an adult and start to own property/properties. A person definitely still wants nice things, but doesn’t want to make excessive purchases that negatively affects cashflow unnecessarily, because there are better uses for that cashflow. This is exactly what happened to me when I bought a nice house and so many adults that I know.
Buying used car 1 year older with 3K miles to save $1K is not smart 😂😂
How many months is for the insurance?
I turned down delivery of the Cybertruck I reserved and picked up a 2024 five seater model X June 1st with a traditional steering wheel featuring the horn in the center. Thank you Tesla! Build quality is 100% on my particular vehicle. I test drove the Y and liked it, but the X has more room, which I need.
just got a model Y long range awd 2-3 months ago! I paid 44k-7500 with 10k of free supercharge and 4 months of self driving! anyway is your husband hiring?? would love to find something new in my life..went to college and got a finance degree and im currently a maintenance supervisor at an apt complex lol
Myself was a maintenance manager at multi-family. It is a good career and very stable. I understand sometimes the on-calls emergencies can be really tied into your life and that is partially why I decided to apply to different roles within the current company that does not have on-calls and completely free outside the 8-5. I am a Regional project admin now and I handle multiple properties make-ready process and budgeting.
I never purchased a new model of any car that is pretty universal idea. Have a model 3 late 2022 love the car.
$1000 vehicle registration renewal? Geezus I pay like $60 a year in Florida.
@@hopperbopper well said.
@@hopperbopperI think the reason they charge so much for registration is because EVs don’t pay the gas tax but the state still needs to get their money for roads.
@@hopperbopper that’s crazy; at some point I would like to get an EV, but it seems like the insurance and registration costs will be insane
Florida > California
Except the humidity. Florida would be an absolute paradise if the humidity could be banished.
@@hopperbopper Heard of oil cartel? oil companies have more competitions? whether or not it has more competition clearly has shown it does not matter. They could always cut production and they do. Historically, oil price dipped but quickly snapped up. Did you know wall street speculators drive up the gas price?
Did you hear CA government will add at least $.5 to gas tax? Electricity is much cheaper for the foreseeable future. I don't see how electricity will ever be more expensive than gas. If it ever does, switch to solar, not to mention solar price is quickly going down. Electricity is regulated meaning utilities can only raise electricity by so much.
sure I like to see gas price go down. I want to see electricity price going down also. I want a deflation.
Your first few points on tire, registration and money up front to buy a car is mute. Compare the finance to an ICE with similar qualities, you will quickly find your ICE will cost ever more, $150K+.
You can share internet from your phone to the car, and in that case you do not need to pay a subscription to use the back screen
If you can pay cash for a used Tesla and are confident that it hasn't been in an accident, opting for an older vehicle can be a wise decision. However, purchasing a new Tesla comes with a $7,500 cash rebate for most buyers. Additionally, the latest models usually include significant improvements that may not be immediately obvious.
Your videos typically provide excellent insights, albeit I recommend revising this one to balance the advantages of buying new with the benefits of buying used.
Every auto shop has its issues; this isn't unique to Tesla. After owning a Tesla for about eight years, I've found their repair staff to be honest, and I've been fortunate not to encounter significant problems. Sometimes, mistakes or misunderstandings arise that require correction or clarification. When your husband pointed out the mistake, it was corrected during a home service repair, which wasn't a "fight for everything," but rather a necessary correction. We have all made mistakes in our work that could be interpreted as intentional. Part of being a professional is to give people the benefit of the doubt as I am giving you.
This feedback is meant to be constructive and without ill intent.
$7,500 rebate is based on how much you make a year. They may not qualify for it
Many people in "Silicon Valley," especially tech workers, will not qualify for the tax credit. It's not because they are rich but because high incomes are required to pay for the insane cost of living there and the tax credit income limit doesn't differentiate between SF, LA, NYC and a small town worker in Idaho.
I can well imagine that there will be a substantive number of people in Silicon Valley, and the other places that you listed in which people make too much money for the $7500 rebate.
Married couples are not to exceed $300,000 a year in order to get the rebate. Single people are not exceeded $150,000 a year in order to get the rebate. There are some people who make seven figure salaries that on average make the income look a lot higher for even Silicon Valley. The average income in Silicon Valley, New York City, and the other places that you listed does not surpass the threshold for the 7,500 rebate. Most people in the areas that you listed would get the $7,500 rebate. Please do not take my word for it. You can Google the information of the average income of the various areas.
@@Johntkr Unfortunately statistics will not give you an accurate picture. I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area (ie Silicon Valley) and have lived in numerous cities around here for over 50 years. Even school teachers and city workers will exceed the income limit here because many cities consider under $170K as being below the poverty line qualifying for financial assistance. There are many remote rural areas with a high density of blue collar workers in industries such as farming. This skews the stats that you find on Google. However, the people living in these areas would never consider buying an EV so tax credit is completely irrelevant here. Among the viable EV markets, mostly along the peninsula and parts of east bay, the vast majority will be beyond the income limit. That being said there are workarounds for the income limits.
Model Y is good at it's price point, but far from being a luxury vehicle. The suspension is so bumpy and uncomfortable for people sitting in the back. Even compared to a Toyota Highlander, the Model Y feels cheaply put together.
The new model 3 is way better than last gen. It's so much better, that the 10,000 dollar difference is worth the quality and comfort improvement.
Seriously. Test drive both.
I'd only recommend the olde one if you absolutely can't afford the new one.
Model X is the best car Tesla ever made.
How about a Rivian? Would you consider that?
I’ve got the model y and I can’t see me ever going back to internal combustion engines. However I have solar so it literally cost less than my gas a month to get a new car. I wouldn’t buy a model x though as it costs way too much. Sales process and service are terrible. I’m a fan boy but nearly gave up on Tesla whilst trying to buy one. Stuck in pandemic mentality
@@hopperbopper it just runs direct from solar 100 percent no back feeding and works great. Free for me to get a new car just with gas savings for me. Pays for itself every 5 years
@@hopperbopper i guess you don't live in CA where gas price is multiple x of electricity. brakes? I thought no need to change that in an EV. Don't forget to factor into how many items you have to maintain in an ICE that you don't in an EV.
$12,000 a year for insurance? My wife and I pay $2,200 a year for three Volvos. Hahahahaha.
I think that was for the 6mo term. Which sounds about right.
Great video and very informative.
There are many alternative options available in the market with an customer centric approach to deal with the issues and a prompt service in order to retain the loyal customers and build the trust of people in the brand
That’s the thing with Tesla, they have the highest retention rating in the industry even better than Porsche and Ferrari. Most Tesla owners would never switch the trade offs are to heavy.
@@JteslaR705 It's mostly just brand cult behavior. I see the iphones on the desk.
The back screen is not useless as you can tether your phone. I get not wanting to pay Tesla for the internet service.
You can buy the KIA EV9 in the USA check it out lots of room nice features, great charging, good range and less money than the MODEL X. That said RIVIAN is better and they have their own charging network and now access to TESLA SC with an adaptor.
you can link your hot spot to your car for free where it automatically connects
Best tip: Use a Russian mafia accent when dealing with Tesla... they refreshed the model 3 this year so that's why the used ones may look more lucrative
When i heard the 1000 insurance I had a minor emotional shock, but the 1000 dmv did me in. what are these prices?!
It’s almost impossible to understand what this guy is saying.
Not really.
Russian Mafia
Exactly!!!
If you have a heavy accent, speak slower...
Looks like someone needs to go out of the comfort zone and explore the world. Get culture and you’ll find out there is lots to explore out of your bubble. That’s why is hard for you to understand others accents. My second language is English and I understood pretty good.
Total Click Bait......
Holds on trim with clear tape......02:50
for Tesla to be advertising how they save you all this money it seems quite expensive to own one
Takeaway from video is never mess with Russian mafia 😂
Why is the Model X right hand drive?
They're in europe I think
Why are the cars here right hand drive?
I am gonna get one Marina. The technology is bar none. I was looking on purchasing a 2018 Model X. I don't have that Silicon Valley Girl money yet 😊
get ready to pay 3 times as much to register it and more for insurance
Love that white Mazda MX5 on the driveway
Saying don't mass up with Russian to Tesla was a super funny joke. lol 😂
I took the lame Yolk off my 2022 Plaid on day 1 !
I can’t wait until I buy a model X. What an amazing car!
Talk about reinventing the wheel and making it worse 😆
Warranty is the key in new Teslas. 1 year older is fine.
Guys, look into Rivian R1S as your MX replacement. Got R1T myself recently, Russian Mafia approved.
Didn’t know California had right hand drive vehicles. Wild. Also $1000 a month for insurance is a hard NO for me. When you get the new Tesla. Will it Be right or left hand drive ?
She most likely mirrored the video where it looked like the steering wheel was on the right side of the car.
@@Mr_Battlefieldnah it’s right hand drive. Her right hand is next to the door like most European vehicles. The camera can’t switch doors 😂
U don't have to spend time(5 minutes) in a petrol station, but dont mind spending hours at a charge station lol
The point is that if an EV vehicle is 25 miles from an empty charge and you drive 30 miles to work the next day, you can just plug the car in at home overnight and find the battery full in the morning. It takes a couple seconds to plug it in and take the plug out before you drive again. But If a gas vehicle is nearly empty and needs more fuel in order to get to work the next morning, you have to stop at a gas station and fill up. Which makes that trip take 5+ more minutes.
It does save some time.
Obviously if you’re going on a long road trip with an EV, you’ll lose that saved time by having to wait for it to charge for much longer than the 5 minutes. But most EVs are nearly exclusively charged at home rather than at public charging stations.
Overall, ICE cars actually spend more time filling up. Most EV owners wake up to a fully charged car each morning. The average person doesn't take more than 3-4 road trips in a year.
You never looked at the Cadillac Lyric.
You guys spend way too much on cars and luxuries when you could be putting money into equities or even savings. Saving when youre in your 30s allows you to live better in your 40s and 50s.
Over a year for just a steering wheel. What I joke of a company. I guess it’s next for me to wait.
so let me see if I got this right you recommend not buying a new Tesla???? that is ridiculous
FYI, fix your front facing camera setting to reflect the correct view, so that it doesn't look like bizzarro England, where everything is written backwards.
That car doesn't look like a $100K luxury car. It looks like something you'd import from China for $24,999.
You know many cheap cars has lots of those things my $23k Jetta has the app feature
I m 💯 sure this car is good bcoz in all video they take it to the mechanic it's has some issues
why would someone want to buy an ev and then go pay 3 times as much as an I.C.E car to register, that is insane, paying more for the same privilege, they are just Bilking you out of your money, and the foolish will pay it
Must be great to have such a nice house and cars. You have great life.
TH-camr tells Tesla they have an issue with their steering wheel. Tesla's reaction , yeah we will replace it for free.
Regular Average Joe: It's going to be $1400 plus taxes. 😅😅😅😅😅
Used Tesla’s prices are going way down every month.
“We have a nanny”
Also: “$99/yr is too much for premium connectivity”
ˇ\_(ツ)_/ˇ
My first thought. You can buy 2 Toyota Hybrids for the price of a brand new Tesla. OK to buy a new car if you drive it for 10 or more years. Driving my Toyota for over 22 years. Just maintain it.
Buy they lease which is far more costly over the long run. Although she is talking about buying now a used one so your option is far better than the one they are proposing. Especially since I have seen how Tesla reacts to customers who don't have an online creator presence - you pay for everything to be fixed!
I’m sorry, but I can’t even imagine the smell.
You can buy fsd later on it🎉🎉🎉 i mean used car, now have 0.99% fee new teslas
Bruh Tesla "quality" is hilarious. I can't imagine my '23 IS 500 or '92 Soarer having these problems. 32 years in, and my steering wheel is not falling apart. The fender isn't falling off.
Also laughing at the controls part. Yea... that's why Lexus has a switch for _everything_ . Once you know where something is, you just feel and touch. Never need to take your eyes off the road.
Also how do you wait 4 months for service !?
This whole video reminds me of iphone users bragging about features android has had for a decade.
Cons: being seen in a Tesla
Cadillac Lyriq have a look
Just imagine if ur car get hacked wat will happen then ur gonna get into an accident. I prefer an emergency button that will shutdown the entire car incase if that happens
why imagine something that will never happen? why are people so weird random stuff?
I will trade your X for my model 3.
After FULL SELF DRIVING is approved, other EV cars resale value will be near to nothing!!!
good luck with that ur going to be waiting forever 😂
Exactly! I think your spot on with your observation. Most of these people do not own Teslas yet they have all kinds of opinions about Tesla and they can’t stop talking about Tesla!🤣🤣🤣
@@hopperbopper Why?
She is right y'all, do not buy the first year of a new model or a redesign! Otherwise you will end up being the manufacturer's beta tester....
I think I will get an Ioniq 6 instead.
This car is incredible
So sad, give Elon and Tesla more changes Silicon Valley girl, they are relatively a new car company compared to Ford, Porsche, Toyota or amazing Honda.
God bless.
Putin needs this guy to negotiate him out of the mess he’s in….🤣
I don’t think the reasons mentioned in the video are the real reasons why a model X will not be purchased again. You gave the same excuses as my broke friend. Just saying🤷🏽. Hope all is good.
Just saying… if $10/month subscription is too much to handle. You can just pay once a year and save $20. I know it’s hard to scrape by
Great review. I don’t even understand having a tesla without the premium internet. Real-time GPS traffic updates, streaming my Tidal and Apple plus watching TH-cam when waiting in the car. It also brings all your settings over when you move from car to car which helps when I rent a Tesla. Certainly worth the $99/year to me.
I drive a model Y performance and I have seen some small quality issues, but not super huge. It goes through tires quicker than what I anticipated and the 21” wheel cracked. Also the filter starts to smell really bad if you don’t change it out quick enough on the ‘22 MY. I really like the car, didn’t do as well as you on resale, it is about $20k cheaper now than when I bought mine. I wished I leased it.
@@hopperbopper $99 a year, not a month. This system is on a 15" screen, not a small phone screen. I have used Apple CarPlay and it is a hassle sometimes too and doesn't have the same functionality as the Tesla. I can't speak for Android. I have iPhone with several GPS apps (Waze, Maps, Google Maps), but I never use them in the Tesla. No comparison. I am glad you like using your phone, I did too until I bought the Tesla.
@@hopperbopperIt’s $8.25 per month. Or 27 cents per day. You have Android Auto so how much are you spending on gas per month? I think you’re losing way more money on gas compared to her on electric
@@hopperbopper All your points were more valid at one point but as time goes on they become less and less in the ICE vs EV debate. Every industry had early adopters that stuck with emerging technologies. IBE supporting industries have had 100 years to mature. Yup electricity and oil companies are all monopolies but at least electricity is competing with ever decreasing solar capabilities costs. Imagine if the red tape was removed in the US and adding solar was as cheap as it is in Australia. US gave up on solar cells tech but it took the rest of the world to prove us wrong and make cheap. From $6/watt 25 years ago down to as low as .25 cents and even with that Australians still pay 70% less for residential solar.
Now battery tech is improving on historic shortfalls with faster charging, new battery chemistries including cheap sodium based batteries and longer ranges. Any EV batteries are almost 100% recyclable. Even the cost of doing that is getting cheaper. We could have a 500 mile battery that charges in less than 30 minutes in the next 5 years. Just saw a TH-cam video of a guy with two Model S EVs with 430K and 375K miles using the original battery. How much did he save over the cost of gas? Clearly he's far less on carbon emissions since production of his vehicles compare to an ICE equivalent.
This is why I conclude EVs will benefit over the years from parallel efforts that will result in converging efficiencies for EVs.
@@hopperbopper Again valid points that will diminish over time. Competition and cheaper battery tech will bring down the cost of EVs. Look at the cost of a Model X over the last 2 years. Yup accident repairs take longer due to shops have fewer qualified techs to repair them. Hertz learned that hard lesson. But can these cars get to a point of being involved in fewer accidents given the tech. Are EV tires more expensive because they are that much more costly to make or is it manufacturer driven given their. As batteries improve I imagine they'll become lighter as well taking less of a toll on tires. We're already seeing smaller higher and more powerful EV motors reducing the overall weight of EVs. I imagine solid state batteries will less weight as well. Toyota looks promising.
I don't mean to come across an eternal optimist but I'm just looking at other industries who've experienced similar efficiencies and breakthroughs. I think a water fueled engine might be the holy grail but also a solar powered car as the solar cells improve on efficiency and vehicles drop in weight.
@@hopperbopper Can't find my reply to this. Toyota has the same delusions as other car manufacturers and people clinging to ICE. Hydrogen ICE cars fit safely into their current factory designs....assemblies of the ICE motor, transmissions, elaborate cooling and lubricant systems. Converting water to a significant amount of hydrogen to power an IBE is the endgame but I will believe it when I see a car rolling off the assembly line.
I'm going to start using "don't mess with Russian mafia -- we don't mess around!" whenever I get into issues with Tesla. Hopefully, I won't get no flak from Tesla.
1000 dollars a month insurance 😮
This is why USA needs Chinese EVs. ZEEKR and X-PENG have 3 row seat vehicles that are so much better.
I wouldn't buy it if it was $50k
so what does this girl do to make this much money?
I think she just wants to help tasla makers otherwise she complained about it in the last video
Ok, to be fair the subscription is $99 a year and it adds a lot more than just entertainment to the rear screen. You spend more money than that in useless Starbucks purchases.
Just get a decent ICE vehicle for 15k thats gets you from A to B and save money on leasing.b
shout out to you about not understanding why people buy electric cars
@@superset5 what's not to understand exactly.
@@superset5 are you going to tell me?
Da … Vasily go to back of Tesla … bring blowtorch and pliers .. we do negotiate at Tezla services … ok .. ok.
Model Y……why!😂
So if you publish your results Tesla reacts. If you don't you are out of luck and have to pay for it. So own a Tesla if you have a channel like this and if not, expect to pay much more for your repairs. I have seen this in too many videos and I know what my friend nearby me has gone through trying to fix their Tesla (not successfully without paying - but he lacks online presence).
You shoulve said "I MOVED FROM SOVIET RUSSIA FOR GOOD CAR, THIS MAKES ME MISS SOVIET RUSSIA CAR"
