Header and exhaust piping are available from the zstore.com. Apexi muffler is not sold through that site.
Exhaust custom welded together by a friend.

Sounds like a Supra just without the turbo. 6-1header is the best option for an inline 6. Sounds Great!!!!

Trying to acquire the exact sound and setup you have for my 280z. Are they long tube equal length headers or unequal length headers? Thanks
they are long tube equal length headers and 2.5 inch exhaust combo from the zstore.com. the muffler included from there is much quieter than the one I got welded on.

I've had the head off and it looks all stock but it seems to a little quicker compared to other Z's with the L28. The ignition system is upgraded however. I'll do a tunnel run video sometime.

How do you get pops and backfire? Is that from an aftermarket ignition setup
I’m guessing it’s from the exhaust and the fact that it’s carbureted. A lot of carbureted cars have pops and bangs, although most new electronic fuel injected cars with pops and bangs are usually from some sort of tune, which essentially ruins the engine lol

You can still put carbies on an L28
The injectors might not be shutting off, the tps turns off injectors above 3500 when de accelerating. his might be set higher. I know mine does pop a little sometimes

The 6 into 1 headers is what really changes the sound. The engine is otherwise stock

they're coated with something but not ceramic. TBC coating I believe
Redline 280z Gotcha, I'm trying to decide between the MSA Ceramic headers or just the paintable ones
i've had the paintable headers before. I painted it with the header paint from O'reilly's that was rated up 2000 degrees but the paint still ended up cracking and chipping off. Go with ceramic

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a completely new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
