- Hello tech gentlemen's. It is Tech Striker and in this video I'm gonna be showing you how to record your desktop or computer screen on free software called Camstudio and then we will install a third party codec for this software, which is Xvid Codec. This codec allows to record high quality screen capture but also encodes the output file to a very small size and that too in mp4 format and not in default avi format. Considering all these kind of flexibilities , we can say that Camstudio is the best screen recording software and Xvid Codec is the best video codec for Camstudio Recorder.

when I searched Xvid on google, I opened XVideos website instead of xvid. so I watched and couldn't find any codec there.
I don't know if you're trying be funny, but he clearly said "type xvid codec" not "xvid" only.

GO Effect >>>> Option > remove the check from "Enable Xnote" to make the software recording unlimited time cause i lost a video after recording 1.30 hours the default rec time is 1:30 min when u remove the check it will be unlimited

after installing and linking xvid in compressor ,when I go to confirgure I don't have any option for xvid showing to select from.When I still started recording the video,it said that xvid status is not responsive.Why the xvid options didn't show up in configure ?

im having trouble with the xvid codec, i downloaded it so i can use xvid and it doesnt work i get some error message when i try to use it and it wont let me use it, and i dont like using microsoft video 1 because the picture is all messed up when i use it

You should have played moving video and recorded it to see if the video recorded ok.
