Updating ships was originally part of the plan, but doing so would have been very very time-consuming as most of the ship's models are split up into 50+ separate models. The other issue we ran into was cutscenes, we initially tested an updated version of Obi Wans Ep2 Starfighter but due to the shape of the newer model differing from the original, obi wan and r4 would clip through the ship.
This version of the game is so cool. It would be great to have a remake of, Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga, Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventures and Lego Batman 1
They're not done with the mod yet. They're trying to figure out how to replace the models of all the ships in the game with the modern designs. It's been quite a hiccup though.

This is cool but I’ll always prefer the classic ep 3 obi-wan, especially over the modern one which makes it look like he wears beige boots for no reason. Otherwise, this would be cool and the OG levels are still better than the Skywalker Saga ones
Me too. It'd be probably hard, but I'm sure it could work. Be cool to see places like Crait, Exegol or Jakku in the old 2007 graphics! And I wonder what kinds of SFX each character could have from the films.
Before Skywalker saga was being developed TT games was going to remaster complete saga including the sequels, hopefully one day TT games goes back to that idea.
I think the dialogue should either be removed, or the mod should have a version without dialogue. It's really jarring how fast scenes go by and how much context you miss DESPITE the dialogue's aim being to fix that (Both by intention when TT started doing it in Lego LoTR and by proxy in this mod adopting TT's choice for dialogue) and it just winds up taking me completely out of the experience. I'm also just not a fan of using the TCW voices of Anakin and Dooku for their characters, that's a pretty big one for me. Overall though, I'd say the mod's pretty good and there's no denying the effort that went into it. If nothing else I think some of the death sounds could use replacing, like Qui Gon's.
Still prefer the original lego models. Might be because of nostalgia but i find that the new models try too hard to replicate the films when they dont need to. They're are lego. Just compare the new Darth Vader minifig to the original. The original just looks much better and proportionate
good lord, I kept waiting for the Voices to be good/make sense, but it just makes everything feel so rushed. Really ruins and takes away from everything else.
The modern minifigures aren’t putrid, you’re just nostalgic. The new ones are far more detailed and accurate. However I will admit this mod looks kinda bad in spots

Also I don’t see the point of high detail when the figures themselves will always be inaccurate due to the proportions, making the high detail faces look weird and the bodies look excessive. I would rather see the stylized approach taken in the 2000s.

I never cared about character creator, minikits have absolutely NOTHING to do with the game having soul, and you're completely exaggerating the length of TSS missions. Yes TSS have some short missions, but to say they are shorter than TCS cutscenes is a straight up lie. Are we also just going to act as if a lot of the TCS prequel levels aren't short?

There's a part of me that prefers mainly dialogue from the actual films being used.
some of the lines used weren't even in the films, so I prefer the original voices and dialogue
I dislike the added dialogue. The mumbling feels better to me

Idk, if it was only TCS I doubt there will be over 200. Maybe it would be like around 150/160
