Thanks for watching, all! What do you think of both Baxcalibur & Ceruledge in the Regulation H format right now? What have you used with it? Let us know in the comments!
I've been thinking thr exact same thing. I have bax, clef, and gholdengo in the builder looking for a way to tie it all together. To me those 3 mons seem like they have insane synergy together. But I like you're team as well!
Oh and ceruledge is awesome this reg. An underrated item on it is covert cloak to completely beat sneasler. But obviously leftovers or goggles on ceruledge is great as well
Great video as always! I find your channel to be one of the best places to learn competitive Pokémon due to how well you explain things, specially when it comes to EV spreads! I was wondering if there is a video coming about what roles Pokémon roles exist in competitive and what makes a Pokémon great at a specific role. That's the part I struggle the most when making a team. For example: What makes a Pokémon a great Sweeper compared to other Pokémons and how to tell them apart. Thanks for your work!
Sweepers need damage to sweep. If you have a high attack or special attack stat, that is a sweeper. If you set up with a nasty plot or a dragon dance, that also modifies and improves your damaging stat. You can become a sweeper that way. Roles for Pokemon are the same as if you were to build a sports team. You have your hard carries and your role players. You pick your core of 2-3 mons, and support them with 2 others and then add 1-2 for the flexible slot into the meta. Thats about it!
@@CloverBells Well, I mentioned Sweepers because it's one of the easiest roles to understand but, for example, I can see that Rillaboom and Male Indeedee are great while not fully understand their gameplan or what they add to a team when they are picked. Could you please share a team seen in a Regional Championship that you think best exemplifies that team-building philosophy with what role each Pokémon serve in a word?

With the first team, what are your thoughts with your opponent having either a Clefable with Misty Terrain or an Indeedee Psychic Terrain?!? Because although I love the idea of the first team (also I love Ceruledge) I feel that it might be weak with those two Pokémon combo mentioned above. That's why I would like to know your thoughts about it. Great video as always!!
Hey I believe I remember you using something called PARS to help with a team build or it was in a guide. Do you know that video that might’ve been or plan on showcasing it again??
Hey Cloverbells. Love the video, I have a question about ev spreads. Does it matter what level I do ev spreads. I'm making a leftovers volcarona, and noticed that at level 100 hp is optimized at 352 with 164 evs. I was curious and checked at level 50 this is not the case anymore as hp is now at 181 which is not a factor of . Should I be ev spreading at level 50 or 100?
It absolutely DOES matter. Never do 100. Always do 50. It will affect your damage calcs because at lvl 100 it's 4 EVs every time but at lvl 50 it's 8 EVs. Please always do 50.
It might not be optimal but I find Adamant Baxcalibur with max HP perfectly hitting both the 3rd attack bump and 115 speed for the elusive max speed BM-Ursaluna incredibly satisfying
This is the first time in a very long time that I've ended up hard disagreeing with Clover after testing. Baxcaliber feels SOOOOOO incredibly bad in this format. It gets out-sped (or undersped when they set up trick room in your face) and one shot by nearly all relevant mons in the meta, and I guess tera is an option but with it's low natural defenses it just gets doubled up on before it can even get a scale shot off to improve speed. Losing Bax to a one shot feels bad. Losing tera and Bax to a one shot/double up is hard game losing. Just seems objectively worse in every way than literally any other pseudo legend dragon. This seems like a mon that solely exists to punish horribly built teams and double dragon already does that with better, stronger, faster and (in most cases) tankier mons. Does my opinion matter? No. Is Clover still the GOAT? Absolutely. Is this just his version of other Poketubers running meme pokemon for clicks? Probably. Will I be back for all his other videos? Yup.
The results, the trends, and the data tell the story that I am trying to tell. I made the video for a reason and wouldn't do so if I didn't think it was good. Have faith and stay tuned.

Hydrapple in the corner after being called the "dragon thing": 😢
Yup, it is indeed the dragon thing.

Yes it is a good mon if you put it correctly

@@CloverBells Thanks a lot for the info and your time! It helps a lot!
Love the team. However, I’ve been struggling with steel types using it. Mainly gholdengo and any steel tera.
Use the archaludon body press and bring the Basculegion for your gholdengo issues. Force the tera steel on it and then the archaludon can beat it
I can understand running a defensive tera on bax, but you may want to consider tera ice to turn icicle spear into a massive nuke.
We can't afford it. Too much sneasler, tera fighting p2, ape and gholdengo. The offense is fine. We have to survive.

Thats the other way to do it, yes.
Great build
thanks!
You can't drop Dragapults speed with Icy Wind, at least not if it's Clear Body, which almost all of them are
Correct. Just use the scale shot.
really cool 6
2 squads for em yes!
If I manage to hit top 100 on ladder will you feature my team
yes
prob don't want to use coaching on bad in front on dozo bc it has unaware and ignores the boosts
Thats okay
I thinking 216 hp on amoonguss for regerator + sitrus berry and Still surviving the talonflame hits
But then we die to Annihilape final gambit. Better to have more
What are your thoights on palafin this format? Im looking to run it in a balance, and want to know what made it usage drop so hard from early regs
Primarina became better. Rillaboom is #2 in usage. Archaludon smacks it. It can still work, it's just much harder.
Palafin got a good result (top 16) at the Louisville regional with a choice band set, although it’s still relatively niche.
