I've got to say it, I've always thought that sports touring bikes were stereotypically for the older generation.. but dam, how wrong was I! I really could see myself putting in the miles on a bike like the 900gt.

Turn the bars and it's easy to turn the key. How could you not see that? They even put it on the side of the triple clamp for the less smart out there to work out.

I have commuted into central London on one for 4 years and it’s as nimble as my previous ride which was a Vespa but much quicker !

Hello. Good video. What's your opinion about the distance between the front footrest and the back? It was a point that users talked about the short distance between them in the "old" version.

Poor tracer 😒 being used for roads it's adventure brother the tenere was invented for ... It's not an adventure bike ( solid wheels instead of spokes ) should of told you that ...

@@LEGITLONDON completely different animal to the others. Riding it is an event that made me actually laugh out loud while riding, initially I thought it wouldn't be practical but the paniers are good and it gets 200 miles out of its tank
Just a shame Harley Davidson build quality lags so far behind the Japanese
Turn the handle bars hard to the left and key access is simple. Love my tracer new screens a definite short for day trips tall for touring. Put up with the seat for now.

I have one and love it , I have the problem with the wind on my helmet so I put the touring screen on and the comfort seat .
Iwonder if putting some washers (spacers) on the top two screws of the windshield would increase the angle enough to push the wind over the rider.. ???
Yes! I have done that on my tracer and it work really fine for me (1.90 mt) with the givi screen that is only 2/3 cm taller than the stock screen

I thought I was a cruiser type rider 😆 Not ridden since I was 15, now on the thin edge of 60, completed CBT and currently getting my road mileage up before taking my full test. The Tracer 900 GT is £11,197, not £9,449 as stated here. It’s the base Tracer 900 that’s closer to the price stated.

I'm 6"5 and have yet to find a bike where the stock windshield is sufficient. Or maybe R1250GS, that was the best in my limited experience.

What is Your opinion about tyres?
The tires that come stock are not as bad as I expected. But I went ahead and got a nice set of michilen pilot road 5 put on it. It’s just the best tire available
I was quite close to buying this one, but i went with the Tiger 900 rally pro instead.
Liked it just that bit more.

I have the 2019 GT and I almost immediately replaced the standard screen, seat, bar risers, clutch lever and in a week the standard Dunlop tyres. Those are the only weak points of the Tracer
What screen did you get and are you happy with it? Also, what's your height?

@@seanb5888 I got the Puig touring screen with an extra clip (alixpress). The clip is necessary for the last bit to remove the buffetting. I'm 184cm and I have the taller Yamaha comfort seat placed in the highest setting (seat height around 890mm)

@@team220s I was in between the pr5's and pirelli angel gt2. I went with the gt2's because I mosly ride in dry weather and according to reviews the pirelli is a bit more sport oriented. Although they are also confident inspiring in the wet.

@@LEGITLONDON I never said it looked bad, I thought it was quite nice, I’m just saying that it’s ironic because Japan and China are usually compared very closely with each other even though they are really far apart
I found the stock screen to be totally useless in either position. And the seat too firm. Other than that, I loved it.
A deflector lip is gold on the stock tracer screen. Lifts the air up higher, and takes out most of the turbulence.
Why does it look like his handlebars are bent at 3:40?

@@LEGITLONDON The difference between the two seat heights is less than an inch but it is a noticeable improvement for us tall blokes
the key thing is the same with MT-10 yamaha seems like yamaha clones a lot of things with their models i guess that makes perfect sense business wise Harley takes alot criticism for the same thing

The suspensión Tracer normal and GT is shit, i changed for Ohlins Nix 30 and Ya35 rear. Now more beeether

i think the versys is a far better bike , that yamaha screen , are they kidding it is awful and looks terrible
The Yamaha 3 engine is far superior. Plus the Versey sound is milquetoast

I don't understand why all the major manufacturers have taken a big steaming dump on what sports touring used to be about..
All these new "Sports tourers" just look like adventure bikes but without the offroad capabilities. They're dumb, ugly, and pointless.
I took a tracer out for a test ride and just found it genuinely boring. If the tracer had a face I'd punch it.
The new generation of sports tourers aren't sporty in the slightest. Just chucking a more powerful engine in something doesn't make it "sporty"
ZX14R, VFR, Fazer, Hayabusa - those are names of *sports* tourers. Powerful, sporty, comfortable machines that can take you across a continent.
But the tracer.... The tracer looks like the product of several generations of inbreeding.
The Tracer weighs 215 kg without luggage. That's lighter than any adv bike and a lot lighter than the hayabusa or zx14 sport tourers
