So this one was mine. The problem I didn't realise I was making - I would let the vlad get stuck in melee and from that point it was extremely difficult to either shoot him down or micro units away from him while still having to deal with his other units. As I mentioned in the mail, my best try was bringing it down to just a handful of units of mine with barely any ammo left with with vlad alone with full hp running everyone down. He was inflicting around 200-300 casualties to me on every try(i would play this battle for 3 hours straight before finally giving up). From this video I learnt you can literally make on-foot AI unit chase after light horse cavalry lmao - thats a good one. Thanks again Legend, hope the video does well:D
You would probably be a lot better off getting rid of those swordsmen and replacing them with more crossbows, or better yet handgunners if you have them available. It's far better to have a few spearmen with shields to hold the line while the bulk of your army shoots them down. Especially when you move up to higher difficulties because the AI gets melee buffs/cheats. Get more missiles and artillery and your battles will be easier and faster.
My initial plan for the game was to make artillery based army comp but it was still fairly early into the campaign and I just recruited whatever I could, whenever - responding to multiple threats in different places, not having much time to replenish units so instead I would just recruit some more trash just to have numbers. Still, I would make sure I have plenty of missile units(I know missile units are king in this game) :)
@@Santi_Nell -The lack of artillery and gunners was the real issue here, even a single mortar would have done so much damage on vamp infantry.
