As an American who planned his first visit to Edinburgh around this fabled rivalry game, I was very fortunate to be there yesterday. And I have to say that it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’ve been to more sports events than I can count and this was the most incredible of all, bar none. I can cross it off my “bucket list” but I’ve got a feeling I’ll be back sometime for another. Thank you Hibs fans. Thank you Edinburgh. ❤

City would be considered very English - British, Utd more Irish leaning, so my Old Manc cousin told me many years ago. He`s born and bred Manchester, and supports Utd.
Loads of Manchester is Irish leaning. There is absolutely no ethnic or religious lines in who people support. It’s just often who their parents supported or where they lived. If the northern part of the city, or Salford (different city), it’s more United, if east or south Manchester, it’s City. I’m south Manchester with Irish roots, so were most of the people I grew up with-we were mainly city.
I'm currently deciding on accepting an offer from the board to manage this club in football manager over the coming months and this video makes me excited to recreate moments like this in my bedroom. As the sun floods through the window and sat on my bed I'll look up to the top shelf of my cupboard and you'll all be up there on the top tier singing down to me. As the players filter past me off the pitch and out my bedroom, I'll stand up and look around 'my room on this earth' and as the chanting fades I'll look you all in the eye, from the window sill terrace to the cupboard shelf stand and whisper.. thank you.. thank you.. and pull the bedroom door behind me. Together we can do it. 💚
