Biggest problem a player has is staying fit in a very competitive environment. There is always someone waiting for the chance to take your place. He never really made his case for inclusion above others

Keeping the faith and believing that we gave everything we could in the 2nd half are two incompatible positions. If there's any faith to be kept for the two remaining games, we need to believe that we can perform under pressure far better than anything we've previously seen in this tournament. Switzerland and Hungary are, comparably, leveler playing fields against just about the toughest opposition and the added stress of opening the tournament. Perhaps a thin silver lining is the Swiss and Hungarian camps seeing our lacklustre effort against Germany and underestimating our fight! Hope springs eternal.
