Great video, Kyle. Nice job showing the ins and outs. 23 Zero really makes some well thought out and well built awnings & such. Probably going to buy their shower tent for myself. Keep up the great videos!
On our panels we store them in the bed area or if I’m taking the big Dodge diesel they go in the cab on the back floorboard. I’d suggest taking large trash bags to put them in when wet . There has been times when I had to load them up wet . They will get musty so air them out ASAP when you can. This awning is a beast in a storm , ours has been through a terrible one in FL and was okay. Make sure you utilize all the tiedowns . Water intrusion during a storm is not bad , some water around the zipper where the walls meet but you’ll be more concerned about the area at the camper , it will pour in there . For some reason it likes to soak my stove . As far as lights go, I had led lights on a sail strip that I used for about 5 camp outs and they failed. I’m struggling to find nice lighting for that space . We open the flaps for extra light during the day. I tried cutting clear vinyl that I got from Joann’s fabric and attached it over my screen . I plan on sewing in magnets to attach it to the panel easier.
Now that you've got my room all set up, I'll be there in three days, lol. Nice video. Thanks, Kyle! Those walls are on my list. See you out there. 73 de Bill
We have both Wall 1 & 2 of the Deluxe kits, and have only ever used the rear (Wall 2). Used it multiple times for shelter from heavy rain storms. Also just as sun protection on some sweltering 99° days last summer. The extra living/lounging space it creates is a plus just in itself. 23zero gear is well-made, and why I stick with their brand Ditto on getting the zipper started being the most frustrating part (to me) especially if doing it alone while trying to hold the weight of the wall up. Once started, the task is easy. Concur on rolling-up the wide door/window flaps also being a bit frustrating. I recently started using a 1" diameter piece of pvc pipe, cut to where it extends past the flap width by a couple of inches on each side. Use it to roll (not too tight) up inside the flap, then pull it out once rolled to the top. Looking forward to the folding video. Since the first use I've yet to get it to fit back in the bag, so we just fold it as small as we can get it, secure a bungee around it, and stow it. IMO, the storage bag should be a bit looser, such as the bag for the 23zero rtt Annex I have, whuch I've not used yet. A note for anyone that might have the regular 23zero wall kits (non-Deluxe model), and are thinking of using a regular wall with a Deluxe wall. The zippers will not match. It's stated on their website, but might easily get overlooked.
All great points and thanks for the view. I'm just getting started with the walls and I like them but kinda frustrated with them all at the same time. I can see only using the back wall for some shelter. You'll be surprised on how easy it is to fold the walls once you get a system down. That is next week. Thanks for all the comments as I head down this journey.
Would really like to see some more detail on the water heater mounting! Does it open out so that the unit is still on the wall? We were thinking to mount it so the unit swings out when in use.
Yes. The water heater is mounted on the door and opens to the right. Hiker mounts it so it opens to the left so I had them flip it. You can't mount it inside the box or you could not get to the water in/out and propane hook up.
Hey there Kyle! We have the exact same model and options on our Hiker Trailers. Too cool. We are down in Texas. Have you run a large fan underneath the awning with the walls on? Maybe we will see you down the road.
Walls look good lots of space … might want to find better tent stakes the cheap ones tend to bend at every place I’ve ever tried using them … huge nails and a hammer or good tent stakes…. The roller cam/para cord system you bought might work well on the tent guy lines
The rollercams are great. Yeah, the stakes that come with the 23Zero are not the best. I'm going to use them until they totally bend to a point where I can't pound them into the ground then I'll get better ones. When you get the walls they come with a ton of stakes. Thanks for watching.
@@squaredropadventures Interesting about the stakes. The ones I have, that came with the 23zero rtt/awning/walls/annex, are pretty darn sturdy, being about 1/4" diameter steel, and I've driven them into some fairly tough ground, encountering some rocks in the process .
Pulling the trigger during 23Zero’s Black Friday sale. Glad you called out the right side / passenger to confirm my assumptions.
Awesome. Glad I could help.
I’m just here for Pix🐶
I wonder if I made a whole video "dog buys RV" I wonder how many views it would get. Lol.
@@squaredropadventures I would for sure!
Nice video! If you put the awning legs at an angle aligned with the walls they will ad more support to the walls helping with the sag.
Good idea!
Nice!!! The walls for the 23Zero Compact 180 on my 4Runner just arrived the other day, but I haven't tried them out yet.
Awesome. Hope you like them.
Wow, what a great edition to the trailer!
Yes, will make a huge addition to how much space I can work with.

Thanks Scout. I have the shower tent too. It's heavy duty. I love the roof and light option for the shower enclosure.
I wondered if those doors would look right but it seems that they setup great.
You know it's an expensive system but after I put everything together I was impressed so I didn't feel like I was taken for.

Wow. This comment is full of great ideas! Thank you for all the info. The trash bags when they are wet is a great tip. Thanks for watching.

Plenty of room for you! It's hot so bring a fan!
That’s a lot of work to not keep mosquitoes away
More than keeping the mosquitos away.

@@squaredropadventures 👍Don't forget to get a piece of 1" pvc. Makes rolling the storm flaps less frustrating.
@@retnav92 Oh want a good idea!!!! I'll put one of those in my trailer!
Is the passenger side called the right side on their site?
@@Chris-ez6cj Yep 👍

Would be nice if the interior color and "ceiling" was lighter and not black
Totally agree! It's dark inside.
Another 270 degree awning that's 250 degrees.
Lol. That is so right. It may even be 240.... Hahah
