I sure don't need convincing I love Queen. I love Freddie Mercury There'll never be another that comes close to his talent and beautiful soul. I would've done anything to be there. We miss you Freddie
I only got a ticket that morning as someone had dropped out from a group of guys I knew. I was living in London at the time so we st off in the morning. I remember that we got there early enough to be able to choose a good spot. It had been a very hot afternoon and while it had all been quite entertaining very few of the performers really seemed to deliver. Funnily enough the only ones prior to Queen that I thought really got it were Status Quo and I was no Quo fan. The atmosphere had been pretty languorous only enlivened from time to time by the odd number. There had not been one solid banging set until Queen came on...
By the way never would I suggest I achieved recreating the exact same atmosphere as if you were really there. This obviously is far from being as good as being there in person! In no way am I a sound engineer and would like to insult your own experience sir. It was just for fun 😄 I Just love stadium-live kind of sound... and QUEEN! 😄
Doug Forrest You’ve been so Lucky! I always thougt people overrated this performance until seeing Bohemian Rhapsody and reading more and more stories of people like you having been there! The scene in the movie was so well done and spectacular that it gave me a new appreciation for this performance, and since then I listen to it all the time!
I was there. The crowd was deafening during Queens performance. We were seated but when they were performing everyone stood on their seats. I’ve never experienced anything like that since.
I was 21 and loved it. Got in a car crash at Stafford coming back from Live Aid. At least it happened on the way back to Scotland. My hands were stinging for 3 days after famous Hand Clapping to Radio CaGa. Yes it's French, like Roger Taylor,'s wife. And loved him blasting out We are the Champions. When I first listened to this, it took me right back to where I was with my friends at Wembley. Fantastic.
My mom was originally going to go to Live Aid with her boyfriend. Unfortunately they had a fight the night before, so she didn’t go. She did watch on TV though, and said that Queen was her favorite performance of the show
Love this perspective . . . love imagining Freddie, John, Brian and Roger's view tho' it wouldn't have been this; don't think I'd seen the upper deck off- field seats. Freddie's voice, the band, perfect. Nice experience here.
I'm sure the echo is not this much. I think even from the audience perspective it would sound pretty close to the original filmed version, just smaller and the crowd is obviously louder. "in fact, Wembley doesn't even have a roof", which is why there wouldn't be much echo, there's nothing for the sound to bounce off of, still, it's really cool what you tried to do
I sure don't need convincing

No concert comes close QUEEN
I WAS in the crowd. This doesn’t do it justice.
Doug Forrest I guess so hahaha That’s so cool! I wonder how it was in person. Your could share your story here 😉

What was your reaction when seeing the performance in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'? Just the fact that you were there is fucking awesome.
Still to this day this 1985 *Live Aid* shall remain legendary.

You had this luck, I wasn´t even born in that time...
Me too ... and probably not far from you
👌👌👌👌👌That voice, the Bass!!!
This Borhap bass I think the best cause I have seen some versions including the official one that John never did the bass like in this live aid moment
Awesome!!!!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
