You can pick up a Wuling Air ev in Thailand for 10k USD (365,000 baht) on the road. Its getting very cheap
My favourite Chinese EV: Avatr 11 and Avatr 12 they are amazing
I WANT BYD SEAGULL NOW! 🥵
I ordered an IM LS6 earlier this month, which is a lot better than most of the cars on your list. Its price started at only a little bit above 200,000 CNY and at 260,000 CNY you can have the all new 800v system.
Avatr 12, Hiphi Z, Neta S, GAC Aion Hyper SSR, Polestar 5, Lotus Eletra
My suggestion: Wait until more Chinese Brands (NIO, Xpeng, Li auto, ATTO,...) manage to sell their new cars overseas. Now you can only buy old version EVs in insanely high prices, because of the lack of competetion. Very low sale number of MG4 or byd seal in China, becuase at their price there are better or more advanced options. VW sells ID3 at 16,000 EUR in China and still only a few people are willing to buy one.
chinese market is a little different from those western countrys, for most consumers, they prefer big space, long range ,faster charge than driving exepriencce, most sporty cars are selling quite terrible, becaues young man who love sporty cars in china can't afford the price, and those middler-aged who can afford the price need considering their famlliy, so SUV or big sedan are more popular in china
我在来英国留学之前,生活在北京。这些年我只见过一次大众ID4,还有很少的保时捷电动车。
Im in Australia and I just want a baojun Cloud, I love that car, I've got the cash waiting.
Thank you for responding, much Appreciated,i haven't heard anything about the avatr 11 SUV or the 12 Saloon, And info fellas.
The problem only with some chinese cars sold to southeast asian countries is that they do not follow the local charging station connection which is usually Type 2/CCS2 and they still send EVs over with GB/T, limiting your public charging availability.
Have you guys looked at the Avatr 11 or the 12 Yet, It's an amazing chinese car, Tell me what you think, thank you.
Avatr 11 's monthly sale in China is around 2000, not many for such a cool car. Avatr is still too expensive as EV, and also with the same price, more chinese prefer L9 from Li Auto, or M7 from Aito. Avatr is a joint brand from Changan, Huawei, Catl, by contrast, Aito is more Huawei owned, so Huawei fans may first consider Aito.
France has just announced which cars can receive its very generous subsidies next year. No Chinese cars are on that list. In fact all the cars are made in Europe. The exclusion includes the Tesla model 3 (but not the Model Y made in Berlin), all MGs, BYD etc...This will mean a price difference of 5000€ up to 20000€,depending where you live in France, your income etc...
Admire your productivity! Sam, you and Elon may be the only two folks over there who can match a Chinese in terms of output, I guess? Wish you and your family health and happiness in the upcoming new year!!
Can't find any those brands in the US market.
Volvo, Polestar, Lotus for now…. Hopefully more
Wonderful!
Thank you! Cheers!
You left out Chery.
Thank you.
Tesla Model 3 is now $26K!! In Ga/USA
can these cars be exported to canada please living under hyperinflation here
NIO is not selling well in EU because the price is to high. The price without battery should be with battery, but if you own the battery you cannot use batterichange.
Lots of nice Chinese cars
Overall great work Sam to bring us the latest EV news in one platform. However I do notice that theres no criticism direct towards Tesla which I found to be the main issue with those contents. As a trustworthy source side for a EV related channel, a bit more unbias take on ALL brands would be the next step up.
What about deepal S7?
When we will get a 35k cad suv ev in canada ?
when Justin gets kicked out of office.
None of them are enhanced by huawei technology which is the true killer application to the car industry
Ex30 is a bit smaller than mg4... Not bigger
Cheers mate
Indeed, Ford, VW, Tesla, etc cant build an affordable EV yet. But Citroën can, and has.
The 4-door saloon Citroën ë-C3 costs around €24.000 and has a usable range of 300km with a 100kW charger and LFP battery. I havent seen a Chinese EV for that price in the EU yet.
I guess you missed the part were the VW id3 really only costs ~€16.000. So €24.000 is a rip-off for the ë-C3.
Id like one that doesn't explode or fall apart (Chinese ones)
100 mile range is all most people need for daily driving. 100 miles and I commute from outer fringe suburbs.
Mine does 120 miles and 95% of the time you’re right. The other 5% is an effin nightmare because the charge network is crap. I’m even considering buying another car so I can go on holiday without the stress.
@@jsanders100 Thats why hybrids are best😎😉
Chinese cars, like you mention NIO ET5, is not "populair" in Europe, because it's chinese.
Just read all the comments on the car websites, 9 out of 10, just talk negative of everything from China.
History is repeating itself like the Japanese and Korean cars, just watch "Cars of the people" from James May.
Volvo is my favourite Chinese Brand cars.
The UK has raised parking and other fees for EV's over 1800percent due to the overall carbon foot print of electric cars from start to finish.
Sad but true. Bad for the environment just like IC vehicles.
Sad but true.
1800 percent
The Australian government sees car owners as a way to raise taxes. There will never be affordable Evs in Australia.
THESE SOUND GREAT, BUT I LIVE IN AMERICA AND WILL THEY BE APPROVED FOR SALE IN AMERICA, CRASH TEST AND MORE. MOST OF US DONT WANT TO WAIT FOR THE 25 YEAR SHOW CAR DEAL. I DIG THE PRES'IDENTS RIDE AS SUV/CROSSOVER/STATION WAGEN. KINDA ROLLS ROYCEEE😁😁😁
When will manufacturers realize that people want a an affordable bulletproof ev.
Show me a A$35,000 no bells and whistles hatchback ev then Im in. Hyandai i30 is 32,000.
So anyone explaining why therte is such a discrepancy in price between an EV in CHINA and an EV anywhere else? (Outside of the all-consuming greed of the big automakers, that is).
Countries near China are slowing shifting towards Chinese EVs, e.g. Thailand and Kazakhstan. Shipping cost is a big issue, and that's why BYD is building its own fleet of RORO ships.
MG are some of the best value EV’s here in the UK, Polestar isn’t exactly cheap but is reasonably priced for what you get. I don’t understand why other makers like BYD are pricing themselves out of the market.
Chinese manufacturers are burning cash by selling cars at well below manufacturing costs on the hope they will capture enough market share to benefit from economies of scale. Many of these companies will not be around in five years time.
Huawei AITO
Some crash test Please
French first to repel Chinese BEV imports. EU to follow ?
German won't follow because of potential retaliation. French brands don't fear such retaliation because they are already irrevelant in Chinese market.
Gudday Mr Sam
I noticed that the Chinese MG5 has scored zero in the ANCAP crash test…….ZERO…… So it follows logic that the level of engineering quality in other Chinese cars including their EVs will be the same.
Morning mate
Nice death coffins they make. I mean china does try hard to hide their EV fire issues but there’s too many videos that people posted lately😂 stay warm people ☕️
Buy an EV from China??? I threw away a dozen things I bought for under $100 from China last year which lasted a few months then broke. Their whole business model is built on a you buy it you break it you buy another philosophy.
I currently drive a Honda Fit in North America. 10 years old. Still in perfect shape. And it was built in China. I have no fears of the better Chinese brands: BYD, XPeng, Geely. Some of the flaky bottom brands no. Not sure we will see anything beyond Volvo in North America anytime soon.
Didn't you learn not to buy💩 products after the first couple?
Yeah i definitely believe in you bud 🤡🤡🤡🤣🤣🤣
Dumdum typing this on his Chinese made phone 😂🤣
Nah because you are buying with a “if it’s from China I’m not spending more than 100 dollars” philosophy
