Oh yes I totally agree. Unfortunately never got to see her perform live. :-( but I bet she puts on a hell of a performance for the angels up in heaven. I think Nell is one of the few singers that actually brings tears to my eyes.

I just heard Nell Carter 's version of this song from her T.V. show for the first time last night and hearing THIS recording for the very first time, just now.
WOW!! I knew she was a Huge Talent and a Very Kind Person. But I didn't know that Nell Carter was "A GREAT INTERPRETER OF SONG!!" That was POWERFUL and MOVING!
