Think about how hard that ball was shot and how long it's taking to actually reach him. It was about 15 seconds, despite the ball being sent at him at easily over 100 MPH. Razor talking after the rebound was bad scripting, but his train of thought while receiving handled the time well.

Engine GAMER - As both a anime viewer and manga reader, I can safely tell you he just broke his fingers due to the tension. It was a consequence, simple as that.
Paragon Influence - Killua's hands were way more damaged. Broken bones and twisted fingers suck, but Killua's tendons endured severe bruising and friction burn. It literally rendered his muscles unusable, and threatened to disable him for life. Hisoka's injury could be healed (and he's twisted/experienced enough to put them back in place himself so it starts healing faster), while Killua was literally putting his hands' function on the line there.
Honestly, Chimera Arc is incredible amazing, but this scene, to me, is one of the best if not the best of the show.. the sync with the music.. the tension, everything its perfect for me
you remember the nen box ging left for gon to ignite the greed island arc? the one which killua couldn't break with his muscles even though he can push a 12 ton door? kind of makes sense in that universe

It was more of a survival challenge like very harsh conditions and basically nature just trying to fuck you up in every way possible.
I've watched Netero v Meruem like 10x, and the final scene of that battle even more, Netero's final words shake me to my core every time, that scene makes you feel the the weight of the situation like nothing else I've ever seen
They're both masterpieces of the shonen genre, but they go about it different ways. Both have a great power system and well written characters, but whereas FMA: Brotherhood is a slow burn that crescendos into the final climactic battle, HxH is a series of mini arcs building Gon and crew up and, more importantly, going further in depth into this world of hunters they live in. I have to give the edge to FMA:B for now in terms of payoff as we still have so much that's left unfinished in the anime. For example: Hisoka v Phantom Troupe (and v Chrollo in Heavens Arena!!!) The Dark Continent, Kurapika and the PT's revenge, Ging v the new HxH Association President and the payoff to the tension between the two, Leorio actually being useful, the Kurapika Succession Boat Arc, And finally - Hisoka vs Gon and Killua. That's just off the top of my head too! There's so much left to the story, if we ever get it, that HxH standing next to FMA:B with so much of the climactic payoffs yet to come is still a great accomplishment in my mind
@@jessicavessie5065 that's so painful yet true, there are great animation moments or shorter anime that are better animated such as opm S1 or some moments in Kimetsu no yaiba or AoT, but if only for the insane consistency and film tier animation in fights overall HxH defo takes the cake. Staying so consistently good, even getting better towards the end for like 140 or whatever episodes is unheard of really, especially these days.

razor probably is one of the most destructive nen user alive, his nen is way more massive than from a regular member of the phantom troop, actually, he could probably be a 3 star hunter if he wanted, his only weakness is the fact that despite his massive nen he is kinda slow, a bit like gon with his rockpaper scisor but damned, if he launch his attack you have to dodge and pray for your life that he didn't alter it's trajectory, actually, this monster probably also have massive capacity in close combat

I can see what you mean, the villain wasn’t nearly as interesting as the others. However, I thought it was cool how in this arc, Gon and Killua both got better at using their hatsu abilities and how they overall just vastly improved in strength and speed. This scene was definitely the highlight of the arc imo tho.

@@somic5490 not really, I liked more other animes like JJBA, One piece, or Naruto, hell Fairy tail is probably my favorite anime even though I know it was trash, but it was my first anime regardless, and that made it special.
And when I said anime I meant strictly anime. There are better mangas out there and togashi has also been a terrible mangaka when it comes to hxh.

razor probably is one of the most destructive nen user alive, his nen is way more massive than from a regular member of the phantom troop, actually, he could probably be a 3 star hunter if he wanted, his only weakness is the fact that despite his massive nen he is kinda slow, a bit like gon with his rockpaper scisor but damned, if he launch his attack you have to dodge and pray for your life that he didn't alter it's trajectory, actually, this monster probably also have massive capacity in close combat

Ging, who was 2 star hunter could absolutely destroy most (if not all) 3 star hunters, possibly even at once. Razor was extremely strong (picked by Ging himself, that should tell enough), possibly could've been one of the top hunters (not THE top, but somewhere very high), however your claim is a bit exaggerated.

This moment alone made me enjoy Greed Island. I never really got into the arc, maybe because the system wasn't fleshed out or maybe that it wasn't my cup of tea. But this moment right here was really great. Definitely best part of the arc.

I can see what you mean, the villain wasn’t nearly as interesting as the others. However, I thought it was cool how in this arc, Gon and Killua both got better at using their hatsu abilities and how they overall just vastly improved in strength and speed. This scene was definitely the highlight of the arc imo tho.
