I remember when I first heard the streets. It was the track original pirate material. At first listen I didn't know if i should like it or hate it but there was something about that track that was so different from anything else I heard that I ended up buying the whole album. I couldn't stop playing it for months. When a grand don't come for free came out I didn't like it until I went through a really bad breakup. I quickly went into a depression. Then for whatever reason I started listening to a grand don't come for free and listening to the lyrics, it was like Mike was singing about everything I was going through. Today i payed attention to the lyrics then looked them up online since the accent sometimes throws me off. I thought of my mom's state and how this song is pretty much as if she's singing to me. Everyone hated walking that much but it reminded me of this song and I listened to it all the time when we were walking.
