I don't know what part of the country you live in but I'm sure there are lots and lots of people who would want her. If you read some of the comments below a person is asking where she could find an Eskie. You can make sure your dog goes to someone who knows how Eskies behave and how to treat her. They're smart and if they don't get enough play and exercise (a walk every day and maybe more) they can become very mischeivious. The first was a girl and sweet and obedient. The second was the opposite, bossy and a terror but he was my shadow. I lost him at 14 about 6 months ago.
Enjoyed the video greatly I lost my Eskie a few weeks ago and it is good to see people who treat there dog the same way I treated mine. Except your was very much more well behaved than mine.
@@AbbieTheEskie you should show that too. So people don't get surprised if they get an Eskimo thinking they are quiet dogs, and then get crazy barking. I am deciding what breed will be my next dog, and I don't like excessive barking dogs.

My Romeo lived 13 years, it's been 4 years he passed away and there is not a single day in my life that I don't miss him. I feel that part of me died with him and it is so hard that I can't barely write this letter. Why such wonderful animals can have the life span of a Parrot and live 50 or 60 years? I want to have another dog but I'm afraid that if I go thru with the same ache in my heart that I have of losing Romeo, I will have a heart attack. You may not think well of me but I feel more love for my Romeo than most of my family members if not all. May you all be blessed with a happy and healthy dog for a long time.

Oh trust me, she is a serious barker. This video was filmed when she was really tired because she wasn't well. Normally she barks at everything and everyone.

I miss him terribly 😢😢😢 so I watch Abbie ..she brings a lot of memories for me!! But it’s terribly hard to watch her doing all those things Jake And I did !’ Just keep the camera rolling for Jake !!👻
How was the raising process? I just got Mika and she's now 7 months old and is just way too hyper. Even after a good amount of play time. She won't rest until I make her go back in her cage
Abbie eats Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, black beans, chickpeas, green peas, green beans, blueberries, banana, nuts, seeds and vegan kibble made by V-Dog/V-Planet.
Abbie is a little monster too. She has her good moments and fiesty moments. I should probably make more videos when she's being a diva and show people that Eskies can be hard work.
Made the mistake of buying an Eskie four years ago. I should have bought three, not just one. I don't know who has worse separation anxiety when I have to go to work, me or my Eskie.
I’m going on Sunday to meet one . How do they get along with small dogs . Do they bark a lot after seeing your video I’m even more excited about having a dog like abbie
Most Eskies bark A LOT! Not all do, but barking is one of their defining characteristics. I recommend doing a lot of research before adopting an Eskie.
If you take your critter to a dog park do the following, shave the hair on the pads of their paws and any long hair on their paws that touches the ground. Also wash their paws before putting them back into their crate. Dogs will always lick their paws so doing these two things will minimizes them from contracting an illness.
Oh, in this video she had lost a lot of hair because of a thyroid issue which caused a much bigger shed than usual. If you see her latest video her coat is very thick again.
Yes I'm told they are up in the top few percent for intelligence. A long time ago Eskies were, unfortunately, used as circus dogs because they were so good at learning tricks.
If I knew what I’m about to tell you sooner I think both my Toy Eskis would not had died from cancer. When we are ready to get another one I going to feed them better. We free feed them Blue because it was so highly recommended. But in the last 3 or 4 months of Bears life I feed him chicken breast, bacon and eggs. Within a couple of weeks his coat got noticeable silkier and softer. He had more energy and he could jump a little higher. Try feeding yours fresh food. I was to late in doing so but I knew he felt a little better before he passed away. I won’t make that mistake again, it will be fresh homemade dog food. Just try it for six weeks and see how much better they look and feel. They were so precious to me and my wife.
The majority of Abbie's diet is fresh whole foods. Every 6 weeks I spend a day making a massive pot of food containing a wide range of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes etc. We scoop out about 80-90 balls and freeze them. We thaw 2 every night for the next day and she eats them with some plant based kibble on the side so her teeth have something to crunch. I would never dream of feeding her bacon and eggs.
@@AbbieTheEskie I’ve looked at several Eski videos but if I remember correctly I saw you guys making his food which is what caused me to write my thoughts on this issue. I think everyone would benefit from your recipe if you don’t mind posting it. I know I would because I waited too late and I didn’t switch Bears diet until the last few months of his life. Your video has me and my wife thinking about getting an Eskimo pup, so thank you for getting us to talk about it. If you do post your recipe I plan to print it for my future Eskimo. Thanks again for posting your video.
It was very easy. She's extremely loyal to us and by choice she doesn't like to be too far away. That's something we're very lucky with. We only have to leash her when we go for walks away from home. The rest of the time we never worry about her being free. I could never imagine her running off anywhere.
@@AbbieTheEskie that's what I am looking for, I have Siberian huskies, they are gorgeous but they are escape artists. I have trained them and now I know If they escape from the leash I can get them back...but they run far before coming back and that can be dangerous. Many huskies have been lost and never come back because is not in their instinct to watch or search for their humans, they prefer to hunt.
Yeah I understand. I've had some experience with whippets and poodles and the poodle tended to run off quite far, only coming back when he felt like he was ready. And the whippets need to be leashed almost all the time. They will chase a squirrel or cat out onto the road and beyond. I can't speak for all Eskies but Abbie is like a velcro dog, stuck to her owner's side. Sometimes we distract her then run and hide behind a tree. After a few seconds she realises we are gone and she runs around in a mild panic searching for us. They are very loyal dogs but the barking is extremely challenging for many Eskie owners.
@@AbbieTheEskie My Eskie, Kodi, is 11 years old. One thing he has always been is "velcro," especially with me. If I go out without him, my husband says he waits by the door, watching for me to come back. He's territorial and doesn't like other people. He's my second Eskie. The first one, a female, was not territorial and liked everyone. She passed at 14 of cancer. They both barked at any sound, so while they bark a lot, they're great watchdogs. Kodi is lying right by my side as I sit here.
to be COMPLETELY honest i did do and/or PROBABLY will SOMEWHAT like the large and medium sized versions of american eskimo dogs and i did do and/or PROBABLY will really LOVE the small version of the american eskimo dogs
Abbie had bad tear stains when she was a puppy, like all her siblings and her parents and most other Eskies I’ve met. When I switched her to a plant based diet about 5 years ago the tear stains went away within about 6 weeks.

Omg! Ive been missing having a dog in my life and we had am Eskie growing up and that was the most loyal dog in the world! And am thinking about finding another! They are so beautiful and smart!!
What a sweet little guy
Wow. your eskie is so well trained and well behaved. she doesn't bark at other dogs. they just come up to her sniff her and then go on their way.
Oh trust me, she is a serious barker. This video was filmed when she was really tired because she wasn't well. Normally she barks at everything and everyone.
aw. so sweet
Lovely
Its funny dogs love veggies if you feed them enought
This video was kinda soothing not gonna lie lol
she seems so well behaved
My Eskie looks like that when I give her brushes XD
she reminds me of my eskie that i used to have as a child. her name was elsie.
We like it
You people are just too silly ! As in recently played videos..I mentioned I lost my Jake of 18 years 6 months 17 days !! I miss him terribly 😢😢😢 so I watch Abbie ..she brings a lot of memories for me!! But it’s terribly hard to watch her doing all those things Jake And I did !’ Just keep the camera rolling for Jake !!👻
My Eskie was over18 when she died. Her name was Angel. I read somewhere that the American Eskimo is like an angel in white fur.
I miss my eskimo Nanuq
How was the raising process? I just got Mika and she's now 7 months old and is just way too hyper. Even after a good amount of play time. She won't rest until I make her go back in her cage
Eskies generally are extremely hyper and they tend to bark a lot.
Omg nice vid im thinking about getting an eskimo and what kind of ingredients do u use for her salad/salad dog food?
Abbie eats Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, black beans, chickpeas, green peas, green beans, blueberries, banana, nuts, seeds and vegan kibble made by V-Dog/V-Planet.
@@AbbieTheEskie ty this is very helpful and your dog is so pretty! Stay healthy and safe we will get through this pandemic! 💕
Thank you very much for being kind. Take care.
Yours is so well behaved. Mine is just a monster no matter how hard I try to train her 😂
Abbie is a little monster too.
Eskies are the best but then I am biased with my Casper.
My mini eski is named Casper!!!
Cool I treat mine almost thesame
relly wish Ihad one
Hello 👋🏻😃
This is a great idea.
I wish more of your videos were longer like this one
I have a question. How do you keep your eskies coat so thin? Almost every eskie I see has pure poof of a coat.
Skies and cost? Sorry but you’ve lost me.
@@AbbieTheEskie oops. Autocorrect botched that up. I meant how do you keep your Eskie's coat so thin.
Oh, in this video she had lost a lot of hair because of a thyroid issue which caused a much bigger shed than usual. If you see her latest video her coat is very thick again.
Is your dog young like my eskie mix ix os 2 yrs old
Abbie is a senior now.
Hello 👋🏻😃
are eskimo dogs one of the most intelligent dogs ?
How easy or difficult was it to train your Eskie to be off leash?
What do you do to avoid and treat tear stains? Abbie has none!
Abbie had bad tear stains when she was a puppy, like all her siblings and her parents and most other Eskies I’ve met. When I switched her to a plant based diet about 5 years ago the tear stains went away within about 6 weeks.
Eliminate grains from their diet
