This song gives me the impression that a beast trapped in their hellish world finally learns to be more human (hence the distorted beginning towards the clear singing) but before him and his other beast gets towards the exit, his evil roots gets back to stop the other for reaching the light (hence the breakdown with demon voice and the verse “i will never let you go” ) right back to their roots, ending with the same beginning, distorted monstrous voice.
But also this song gives you the impression of a man who gets closer and closer to beating depression and letting that “comfort” behind but gets pulled back by their own “demons” , brilliant piece of music

Wow what a masterpiece. In the context of the whole track list it was a surprise. I first came across hangdog scrolling randomly when it was 53 minutes old. I played it repeatedly for weeks and was hooked. Thrilled about the whole album coming out.

This is the best one on the project. Singing on point instrumental on point and breakdown is amazing. I hear lots of Opeth influence on this song. One of my favourite bands. I wonder if anyone else here’s the resemblance. Great song sadly I didn’t like the rest of the album as much as this song. Felt underwhelming and undeveloped, not a full sound yet.

I think it's differing tastes, there's a lot of melodic followthru with this album. Wheras I didn't like this song -as- much because of the breakdown. Still INCREDIBLY talented and I love the beginning of the song
I agree about the whole song, great compositioning skills but tbh when the vrealdown hit I was rather hearing rather black metal in the vein of harakiri for the sky xp the rest of thw album was good but kinda boring at aomw points i thinking about thw second half, the songs kind of blended qith one another. Hope he’ll fins his sound on the next releas. Keep up the good work Mossback!
@@AurelCat-tx6ppto me the whole album is not about blasting the speakers and subwoofers and rocking out , but to listen to the hidden messages and stories in those “darker” lyrics and sounds. Even the album name has a deep meaning, skinwalkers are creatures that disguise themselves as other beings. Skinwalkers social club is for people like for example, That fake out a lot of things to fit in, not really knowing themselves so they are easily influenced etc. the album brings a place to gather for those people and hear out that there are a lot of other people with the same burden
