Folks in their safest life finding true crime and glorified, romanticized psychopaths and violence and murder so interesting to hear about like it's their new favorite book or TV show. It's not that bad because it's not happening to them or it's a way to cope and think they'd "make better choices" in that situation if it were them. Lyrics describing someone who has found themselves directly in front of a person just as ill and violent as in the true crime stories they consume and the person is confused by their fear because, hey, they thought they loved true crime, so what's the problem?
