Bleach still holds up today as a great rock record.
My Second favorite Nirvana album besides In Utero
ASHLAND STATION MUSIC your correct, first albums usually do hold considering you have 10 years to perfect them
Yea has it's moments.
This album is disgusting!!!!
@@markusantonio4866 was that disgusting in the sense it was pretty fucking sick or what?
Not to forget: Bleach has one of the best, most bone chilling screams in rock history: School
B-Side of aneurysm. That's all I have to say.
The song itself is huge... Wild, powerful and straight to guts.... "No recessssssssssssssssss !!!! " Amazing song !!!
I like the scream in negative creep more......it sounds very anguished to me
Paper cuts man, that song is pure despair and inner fight, never heard anything close to that song. That song sound like orchestra is playing, an evil orchestra which gives song another level
I think drain you has the best Nirvana screams ever. But it's from a live show...
Every time I listen to “Bleach” I feel like it’s the first time
Me too.
"I had Kurt and Jason's guitars running through the mixer, and when I'd listen to one at a time, I realized Kurt's guitar was the only one that made sense." - Jack Endino, roasting tf out of Everman.
Most underrated Nirvana album
Can't believe its already been 30 years, damn.
Holy shit...
Damm
OMFG
@Noah Love your background picture
32 😮💨 still hold up
It’s criminal that Chad didn’t get inducted with Kurt, Krist and Dave
Yeah, I mean I understand Dale or Aaron or whomever else not being mentioned but, Chad recorded this with them. Dave acknowledged him but still.
Kris Frederick The shout out was pretty disingenuous to me. It almost felt as if Dave was mocking him. That probably wasn’t his intention, but still...
He was with them in the early days, with the tough touring.
@@clancykobane9102 Agreed
@@NewMadrid01 Yeah I get it, pretty much pointing him out but still not being important enough to be on stage. You'd think Krist would have gone for that. Even though they didn't love his drumming for future ideas.
I think it’s my favorite album. Can’t put into words why.
Me too. I think it speaks for itself.
They are all my favorite, except anything produced by Butch Vig. Nevermind needed to happen, but still it really is just not that Nirvana sound. If you listen to enough of their live gigs, you'll know they were nowhere near as serious, polished, and Motley Crueish in terms of making a record as Nevermind turned out to be. So yeah Incesticide/In Utero/Bleach all the best material from them. Don't get me wrong though some tunes I adore on Nevermind, just when they played them live not with that heavy production found on the record.
@@killval849 totally agree. In utero sounds amazing imo. I've become an Albino fan years later and have become obsessed with any vids I can find with him in his studio
I use to have the cassette til someone stole it. One of my favorite driving records
Yea honestly like it more than Nevermind.
But i love all albums XD
Was lucky enough to see them in 94 in Minneapolis.
Chad was seriously underrated.
I think Dave said the same once, then again Dave is extremely humble most of the time.
Dave gave him props at HOF induction
Wrong
@@bmark7951 what is wrong?
Stop speeding negative creep
I was lucky enough be there for a lot of awesome Nirvana experiences. They stayed at our house in Philly in 89’ and I was in the Green Room with them at SNL when they played. I saw them open up for Tad in 89’ at Maxwells in Hoboken and chatted with Kurt after the set while he picked up the pieces of the guitar he just smashed. Fine, outstanding young men
Lucky you.
Liar
@@lldjwhyteell I feel sorry for you. Get out from behind your keyboard and infesting things will happen to even a nonbeliever like you
Mudhoney and the Melvins have a lot to do with this sound, great first album
Melvins and Scratch Acid were Kurt's two main reference points on Bleach. Mudhoney's influence came later with songs like Breed.
A lot of people don’t know that.
I noticed that the artwork for Bleach is extremely similar to Mudhoney’s Superfuzz artwork too.
Negative creep and i'm stoooooned
Daddy's little girl ain't a girl no more
@@r.edward5701 that line always reminded me of Mudhoney "Sweet young thing ain't sweet no more."
Noisy Trash I think that’s what it’s from
This is definitely my favorite Nirvana record. This album IS what Nirvana is. To me,at least.
I'm getting quite a few kids (11-14) discovering Nirvana now wanting to learn to play their songs. It's great. Bleach and Incesticide tracks as well as Nevermind.
I love Paper Cuts so much. It's like i'm listening to it and every time get goosebumps.
"Just never give up..." If only Kurt had taken his own advice.
Papercuts is one of their best underrated track.....
I think its best, darkest by instrumental anyway
Thank you dudeman productions for this gift of a video.
Definitely my favorite Nirvana album.
Great album, from start to finish. Raw and brilliant.
A lot of great guitar solo from bleach album like blew, school, sifting n love buzz wow kurt technique amazing
“Easy in an easy chair, poop as hard as rock”...
yes i eat cow i am not proud
lyrical genius
Kurts guitar sounds melted into his voice so well. He sounds like a boss ds-1
I agree with everything you said about Bleach, I love this album
One of the best debut albums ever.
Love every song on that album. Could listen to any song at any time.
The simplicity of the recording process is what makes it
Very underrated record! So many amazing songs that are overlooked
Kurt spelled it Kurdt on the album as a zing to Kurdt Vanderhoof from Metal Church, also from Aberdeen.
Finally some closure on that thanks !
My favorite album from nirvana
First Nirvana song I've ever heard besides Teen Spirit was Blew. Immediately hooked. Bleach will always be my favorite Nirvana album.
Monster album! Love the riffs in Mr Moustache and Big Cheese, actually every song, haha
Every door of humiliation you go through “they “ give you more power
Fact: Jason Everman was never paid back his $600 something and whatever in change for paying to have the Bleach album recorded at Reciprocal Studios. Kurt & Krist forgot to write him a payback check after they blew up and became famous. O well. Whatever. Nevermind.
Paper Cuts is easily the darkest Nirvana song..
Brilliant album.
Well, $600 in 1989 U.S. Dollars... which is $1,250.95 in 2019 U.S. Dollars.
Chad is ageless!
Floyd The Barber used to be my ringtone for the longest.
RIP kurt. Still dearly missed
Forever my favorite album.
Thanks!
Dude all your videos on nirvana are killer! Thank you
Bleach is one of my favorite sludge records.
bleach all the way loud, my fav
I've gigged out since 2016. Own 15 guitars including a Fender Jaguar and Squier Mustang. Kurt means a lot to me...
I Love Too Many Humans by Buckethead
EDIT: School is my Favorite song off this Album
One of the best debut albums
Masterpiece
The album that introduced me to heavy and underground music.
My favourite nirvana album
My tape copy of bleach was made of black plastic and didn't have downer on it.
Mine was black plastic. It didn't mention Jason Everman on it either, and he was cropped out of the cover photo. But it did have Downer as a bonus track.
Daniel Montoya the original album didn’t have big cheese or downer
I love the ending of this video. The interview where Kurdt says Keep practicing don't give up. That's the Kurdt I was inspired by... Before major Heroin use.. I hate that drug. If I was his friend I would of found a way to make him to never do that shit... That's the Kurdt that was the best version of himself. The one that should still here today with us all.
Great album, thats all I can say.
As much as I love Nevermind and Incesticide, there is just something about Bleach
Bleach is one of the best Punk Albums Ever!!!
My favorite Nirvana record
My fav nirvana album
That would be amazing for nirvana bleach for original sequence album with Floyd the barber and then blew and then it was resequenced to blew to Floyd the barber mind blown 🤯.
VERY NICE VIDEO MAN! WOW I REALLY ENJOYED IT!!
underrated channel
Induct Chad Channing into the music Hall of fame.
nice job!
No one ever comments on Paper Cuts. I think it's one of their best !
BLEACH was released on my birthday (jun-15). How it was 30 years ago, I’ll never understand 🤪
A girl I was talking to in 1990 gave me her copy of bleach I was 10, and went nuts. told all my friends about it but thay was like ok no big deal bye the time I was 13 everyone had a nirvana shirt crazy how life works, I now have 13 copys
I thrashed this album when I first heard it...I'd heard it years after hearing Nevermind and In Utero and just thought Wow very metal lot of sludge....brilliant
I think the reason why Kurt put his name as “kurdt” is because he spelt his name that way on his first demo tape, “literacy will prevail” that he made with his first band Fecal Matter. The spelling was for old times sake, though, a K in his last name is a mystery to me.
Big cheese was also performed by Crover on drums.
Un gran álbum, denso, melódico, lleno de rabia y energía.
I Love Kurt Cobain! I Love Bleach and the Other Nirvana Albums too. He said that it doesn't matter what you look like. A Sexy Guy Like Kurt Cobain saying that is something else! He said keep practicing and don't give up. Well I Love Kurt Cobain Always! Nirvana Forever.
White vinyl, baby.
Fucking RAD! Mind blowing ⚡️🌪💥
Pic of drummer falling over drum set taken in old junk rehearsal studio in Tacoma, just behind old Cheeds West.
Downer was not originally on the album. Subpop added it to future copies after Nirvana signed to DGC.
Chad had life long lottery ticket and lost it, everyday would be a bitter reminder.
They wanted him out for some reason so I doubt he feels regret. Maybe a lil sad.
Chad is set for life. He's made a few million off of nirvana
OR he put the "d" in Kurdt to reference Kurdt Vanderhoof, of Metal Church..... Also from Seattle. Way more likely.
The unplugged concert was actually in 94’
Best Nirvana album.
I like Bleach, I've always thought it was a great album
Turning your Cs into Ks, like Cain into kain turn Luca into luka . I do it because my name starts with k.
lars? is that you?
You should do a video on Green River. Guys from Pearl Jam/Mudhoney.
Love bleach
Bleach album is definition of grunge for me
Never mind d was a great album as well as Bleach but my favorite was always Incesticide.
That album cant buy anywhere though.
I love incesticide as well 😊
The snare always bothered me on this album for some reason, at least now we have an explanation, or an excuse, whichever.
Kris Frederick i love that snare
so hard hitting
@@BOUZOUKI_PETE I've heard Chad playing live and hitting hard, it just didn't do him justice.
Remember: Bleach your Works!
6:27 INITIAL D
I've thought that were only 11 eleven songs. When incesticide was out they re release Bleach with 13 songs.
Krist is so funny … he’s as classic as the band
Love this shit
School
Best song ever
conclusion: is the back of the album.
Huh? Nooo. Kurdt is just a normal alternative spelling of the name Kurt, just like Cobain was originally spelled Cockbain. Kurdt Vanderhoof was playing in bands in Aberdeen when Kurt was a teenager, so that's likely where he first learned of the alternate spelling. It has nothing to do with Kurt's middle name. When have you ever heard of Kurt Cobain ever mentioning his middle name anywhere? You think a guy like Cobain wanted people to know his middle name was Donald? Highly unlikely.
Thanks for saying my name Kurt
And if you wouldnt mind , i would like it bleew
Wish cobain was as deticated to getting sober as he was with his music. Miss him alot of us do
If the Melvin's had added Kurt to their band maybe they would've been huge. Their loss.
About a girl may have had a softer tone and beatles like melody but the story behind the song
was as dark as any other track on the album!Case and point "not out of place at all"!!
J what’s the story!?
