      There is an ice-cream place that tricks you into grabbing your ice-cream off them! How long are you in Turkey for?

    • @SirKonrad
      @SirKonrad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeh we’ve seen lots of them on the street! We are here for about 3 months but travelling around 😊

    The Prinkipo Greek Orthodox Orphanage is the largest wooden building in Europe and the second largest in the world. It stands on top of a small hill on Büyükada-a tiny island off the coast of Istanbul.
    The Prinkipo Greek Orphanage, also known as the Rum Orphanage, was originally conceived to be a luxury hotel and a casino. But when it couldn’t obtain a permit, the building was turned into an orphanage. It operated for sixty years taking care of Greek Orthodox orphans. Once this establishment closed the building fell into neglect, and after half a century of being exposed to the elements, the 20,000-square meter structure is now in a state of heavy disrepair.
    The six-story building was designed and constructed in 1898 by the French-Ottoman architect Alexander Vallaury, for the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits, the European passenger train company that operated the Orient Express.
    I remember all of this from one of my School History lessons 😁

      Can you join us on all our adventures so you can be our travelling encyclopedia? 🤣
      That’s actually really cool that it’s the second largest in the world!!

    Wow what an awesome spot to explore, can't wait to check out Istanbul for ourselves... you've given us a great place to start! Definitely feel your pain with the heat walking up steep hills but hey, definitely worth it for those views at the top. Great video as always guys! Looking forward to the next one 😊

    Dig the opening scene
    Diggin the music score
    Could you not of pulled a wheely on them bikes?
    You purchased a kite yet? Must be a power kite with 3 meter wingspan. Wait for extremely strong winds and don't let go when you go airborn. The wind will drop at some point!
    😂

    This place is def on my hit list, and the food looks epic. Good to see both your smiling faces on camera, I'm burned out and feeling the TH-cam burn, I think my lack of enthusiasm would def come across on camera so staying hidden for the time being. Keep up the good work. 🙂

    • @SirKonrad
      @SirKonrad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We can definitely understand the burnt out feeling. Sometimes we get a bit discouraged but we always try to remind ourselves why we started in the first place. Hope to see you back in full force soon enough!
      And thanks for watching 🙂

    it's a nice video. No matter who they are, some people can pollute their environment without value. This is ugly behavior. Cycling is the most enjoyable activity.
