My father used to work away a lot when I was a kid and I can tell you, children need their father around. I'm sure your wife needs support too mate. Incredibly lucky to have 3 weeks out there already.
Honestly a decision to stay another month, is personally between you and your family, they must miss you, especially over Xmas and the New Year.. use your time there wisely, and always put your family first. Safe travels!

I’m from Uk living in Samui came across your vlogs. Some good stuff I’ve seen, lots of the Thai and Burmese construction workers get pain and damage from Ark Eye. wearing the wrong protection. No one seems to warn them or tech properly of long term dangers to their eyes.
As most others say,if the family is OK with it then 100% do it ! My wife,eldest son and myself are going for 4 weeks from end of Jan.To same area your in now.
Your making me jealous Adam I have just extended my visa on Friday will go to Chaeng mai next week with girl friend , markets and temples same but different 😂😂, just stick to your dream , I’m here for 6 months not keen on riding motorcycles in built up areas , but if needs must ,🤔👍👍

Had the same problem when I went to Canada for a month.just cancelled my flight home.two months later was still there.told my boss a bear ate my passport.didnt have a job to come home to.best decision ever made.
After watching to the end now, I would say change your flight but look out for rip offs from travel agents as I've been scammed in the past. Years ago if you booked chartered flights with Thai airlines you could change with no cost. Not so clear cut these days. If you do another month, check out Cambodia... well worth a visit.
Loved this video if it's OK with your family I would stay but that would mean missing Christmas so ovearsley don't worry if your family need you home do that family is everything hopefully thay are ok for you to stay longer
