I don't think the only options are non-stop commentary about "she's stepped with her left foot," "now she's moving her right foot," "now's he's taking a breath;" or silence. I find he never ever stops talking and he tells us exactly what we are already are looking at as if he's doing closed captioning. He doesn't know how to let moments speak for themselves. An important reason Jeff Probst is good a host is that he has a background in human psychology and this is, at the end of the day, a game of psychology. Probst knows how to let moments sink in and how to let moments speak for themselves, then comment on them afterwards. Jonathan doesn't have that depth or maturity and just talks and restates what is visual. Of all the Survivor hosts I've seen, he comes the closest to actually interfering in challenges and I think he has crossed the line more than once. "Oooh, looks like Sami is about to lose her balance...," "Pipa really needs this immunity today because everyone is fare her...." The nature of the game doesn't need that much manipulation by the host; the rest can be done in editing.

And Probst is doing this all the time as well. Regarding interference in the game most likely these comments are edited afterwards and Jonathan probably did not say this kind of things in real time

Kristie played herself sooooo many times in a row. How can you possibly justify keeping el twice in a row? Like theres absolutely no question that Lee and el are going to keep eachother at 3. This season has seen some mind boggling choices but I think that was the worst of them all.
See, my qualm with this thinking is it's smart for either Lee or El to not take the other to the final two because that's a guaranteed vote in their direction. If they're as close as everyone says, the other person will vote for them at the final, and then probably give that other human a couple bucks down the road.

You've got fooled. She's a manipulator. In the second to last episode she openly states she will win. No emotions, no adrenaline. I can imagine an adrenaline boost can reveal so much strength in the unlikely winner but she just knows, so either she took some drug or the entire show is staged.

El has conveniently forgotten about the all girls alliance that she had with Brooke and Flick, with whom she also had a final 3 deal with, that Lee was obviously NOT a part of. In that scenario, she was being dishonest with somebody either way, whether it was the girls or Lee. She hasn't always stuck to her alliances or kept her word like she claims. She feigns innocence, but she has been playing a very smart, very strategic social game. Can't take any more of her or Lee's hypocrisy of their moral superiority bullsh*t.

I also recommend season 7 Pearl Islands - they do a pirate theme for the whole season and a bunch of the cast really gets into it, it's a lot of fun. These are all from the US version of the show, though, not Australian
Weird strategy from Flick - because she is a player and has a story to tell then they should take her to the final... whaat? She really believed they are these honest fair players? She knew well it is not that kind of game. I mean, it could be and I wish it was but even when they say "I'm honest, I want to show an honest person can win" that's just a line. Flick had their chance with Brooke, missed it. On one hand good that they underestimated the accountant, who outplayed them, on the other hand it was so obvious that the accountant plays her game manipulating with tears from day one so the only reason anyone fell for that is - the show is unfortunately staged.

Flick is the one who really played the game well. From the beginning I didn’t like her. But she is very strategic and made the show not boring to watch. I think Kristie had the fear that Flick was lying to her and trying to get her eliminated. ( Kristie trust no one in the game and she did whatever she wanted to do while listening to everyone) That’s why she chose trying to win next immunity challenge. Different different approaches. Really exiting to watch. Thank you Flick for making the game interesting.
Here's the thing: they all keep saying Lee and El will win, but Lee and El are going to actually end up having a tough sell with the jury. I think they're both incredible, genuine people, who've overall played a fairly tight game, and absolutely deserve the win. BUT they've been a pair/unit for so long, it's going to be hard to differentiate their games, whereas Kristie will be able to speak to having a very different game. Lee has spoken long and hard about playing with morals, but because this is Survivor, of COURSE he's had to lie and manipulate here and there, and the jury is going to roast him for that. El has championed that everything was always a mutual/group decision, which is great and fine, but then how does she argue she was ever a driving force and therefore deserving? Kristie has been in a swing vote spot so many times. People are constantly trying to win her to their side, and she ultimately makes her own decisions every time, whether people understand her reasons or not. She has played from the bottom multiple times, she's basically been an "individual" from day one out of necessity, and made it all the way to the 3. The jury can moan all they want that how dare Kristie not break up El and Lee, but none of them managed it and most of them never bothered to try when *they* had the chance! And in this case, I think it actually works heavily in Kristie's favor to keep the El and Lee - whichever one she's sitting beside is going to get some bitter fire from the jury, and have a tough sell on how their game was individual instead of wholly tied to their alliance partner. We'll see, but I think Kristie genuinely has a really strong chance of winning!
@@yessickh There's no way Lee and El are voting against each other. They trust each other 100% and want to be in the final 2 together. Kristie chose to go into the final 3 with 2 people who will not hesitate to vote against her
El intuition was very right , she should take Flick to the final three because she is not good in challenges and likely to lose, then she (El) and Lee will go to the finals, and if she picked Kristie to the final three, Kristie might win the last immunity challenge and will take Lee to the finals. The best position right now is Lee.
Spoiler Alert: Why is Flick dumping her loss on Kristie? Flick voted out her right hand “person” in Brooke. Flick voted out Matt. If there’s anyone to blame for her getting the boot, it’s herself.
I don't know who wins this game, I'm happy with either three of them winning, but I kinda wouldn't mind seeing Kristy win just because she's the underdog.

Flick is the one who really played the game well. From the beginning I didn’t like her. But she is very strategic and made the show not boring to watch. I think Kristie had the fear that Flick was lying to her and trying to get her eliminated. ( Kristie trust no one in the game and she did whatever she wanted to do while listening to everyone) That’s why she chose trying to win next immunity challenge. Different different approaches. Really exiting to watch. Thank you Flick for making the game interesting.

Here's the thing: they all keep saying Lee and El will win, but Lee and El are going to actually end up having a tough sell with the jury. I think they're both incredible, genuine people, who've overall played a fairly tight game, and absolutely deserve the win. BUT they've been a pair/unit for so long, it's going to be hard to differentiate their games, whereas Kristie will be able to speak to having a very different game. Lee has spoken long and hard about playing with morals, but because this is Survivor, of COURSE he's had to lie and manipulate here and there, and the jury is going to roast him for that. El has championed that everything was always a mutual/group decision, which is great and fine, but then how does she argue she was ever a driving force and therefore deserving?
Kristie has been in a swing vote spot so many times. People are constantly trying to win her to their side, and she ultimately makes her own decisions every time, whether people understand her reasons or not. She has played from the bottom multiple times, she's basically been an "individual" from day one out of necessity, and made it all the way to the 3.
The jury can moan all they want that how dare Kristie not break up El and Lee, but none of them managed it and most of them never bothered to try when *they* had the chance! And in this case, I think it actually works heavily in Kristie's favor to keep the El and Lee - whichever one she's sitting beside is going to get some bitter fire from the jury, and have a tough sell on how their game was individual instead of wholly tied to their alliance partner.
We'll see, but I think Kristie genuinely has a really strong chance of winning!

@@yessickh There's no way Lee and El are voting against each other. They trust each other 100% and want to be in the final 2 together. Kristie chose to go into the final 3 with 2 people who will not hesitate to vote against her
El intuition was very right , she should take Flick to the final three because she is not good in challenges and likely to lose, then she (El) and Lee will go to the finals, and if she picked Kristie to the final three, Kristie might win the last immunity challenge and will take Lee to the finals. The best position right now is Lee.
