It's been a while since I've done one of your recent videos as I have been redoing my favourite old ones! It's so different now, more slow and deep poses. It's a nice switch up from the usual fast paced flows I've been doing and I think I'll try to mix up your older ones with your newer ones a bit :)

Can you recommend to me a yoga mat you like, I've been looking at the alignment mats, and wonder if they work with all heights? I saw you used one in your yin 50 min. My top three favourite videos are: 40 min stress and depression relief with louise hay affirmations(would love more of that); 50 min yin yoga session and the 45 minute hip opener one. Thank you so much for your amazing work & dedication - it has brought great exercise, self connection and joy into my daily life :)
Hello Jem! Thank you and your partner for practicing with me. Duke’s favorite class is the hip opening one too. I would like to make another restorative/gentle yoga video soon. My favorite mats are: 1. Manduka (pro mat) 2. Jade (Harmony mat) 3. Liforme (AlignForMe) The Manduka pro has a lifetime warranty and it really does last! I like that it’s thick so I don’t ever have to worry about padding up my knees. Some people don’t like how heavy it is to carry. I wouldn’t travel with it, but they make a pretty good travel mat too. If you get one, it might be a bit slippery at first as you “beak it in” I suggest using some climbing chalk or a rosin bag like baseball pitches use. You can pick either one up at most sporting goods stores. 2. Jade mats are awesome, especially if you tend to sweat. You will not slip on it at all. It will last you a few years if you use it every day for long, sweaty practices. It will last longer if you use it less frequently. One thing: you cannot expose it to sunlight or the surface will get ruined.
Sorry Jem, my son knocked my arm and I posted too soon! I really love the Liforme alignment system as well as the surface of the mat. One thing I had an issue with is cleaning it. I like to use a little tea tree oil when I clean my mats, but I found out the hard way: do not use any kind of oil on this mat. Not even tea tree. It ruins the surface. I hope this helps!! ☺️❤️

Lesley - great flow. I enjoy your yoga routines - the posture choices and transitions and timing with your instruction. The only thing that stops me from watching your videos more regularly and subscribing is the way you speak when you instruct. It reminds me of asmr or something. Lots of mouth sounds and soft, breathy talking. When I’m being instructed, I don’t want to be distracted by someone speaking super quietly - I need clear direction. This isn’t me saying “I don’t like your voice, I’ll never watch your videos”, I’m just wondering if you can adjust your mic and your teaching voice to sound clearer and less breathy/mouth-moving; completely personal preference, but I hope this feedback helps.
