Regarding the Video memory, it actually doesn't have any. The 512mb is what is allocated to the GPU from the system memory and since Ryzen 4000 series, that allocation is dynamic which can be automatically increased up to 6GB based on the GPU load and available system ram. 512mb is just the initial allocated memory to the GPU. Also, was expecting to see a fully functional type-C with charging and display out. Dell and HP has started providing that in their budget Inspiron 5000 and Pavilion series since 2020.
What you said about video memory is true, 512 mb is just a dummy number. You can see the actual dynamic memory used in an app called TechPowerUp GPU-Z.

Yeah...I would still choose the Lenovo Slim 5 15.6" over this. For about the same price, you get a brighter display with thinner bezels, USB-C charging, top facing speakers, fingerprint sensor and the better 7-4800U CPU. Only 8GB on the Lenovo is the only minus. If you routinely have more than 20 tabs open, your should switch to Edge. Chrome is a memory bloat hog.

I played some games as well. as it is not a gaming laptop, i had to play at low setting. the laptop can handle adobe premier pro and all the useful apps with good performance. The processor does not get too hot under medium work load. But under high work load it get hot up to 85degree celcius. hope you got a good idea about it.

Bro see.. If you want it for gaming then don't buy it, because it has the chassis and build of a budget thin and light with a 60Hz TFT display but the processors packed into it are really powerful, so on one hand you'll not be able to utilize the true potential of the processors and on the other hand the higher TDP of the two processors are not meant for that chassis so there would be a lot of heating and potential damage. If you want it for development then it is good, but I won't suggest it for content creation as Varun already said that the display being used in these machines is not good.

Go for 550U buddy, it will be perfect for video editing and light gaming. Battery backup is around 5-6 hours.

@@varunnahar I know that the ryzen 5 5500u is a very powerful processor(6C/12T) and better than i5 11th gen(4C/8T), but doesn't having a dedicated graphics card with the i5 gives it a upper hand rather than the integrated graphics on the ryzen 5..
