Wow i was in london just last week and half these rhythm games are gone Groove coaster, nostalgia, sound voltex and the pump it up prime 😢 At least one LX has up to date phonenix though
Yeah! I think a random German company bought the space. All the social media went down. No interaction with the community and players anymore. So they don't really care as long as people are feeding the gamblers upstairs.
Thank you for the update! I've been looking for somewhere to go to play rhythm games and was going to go here based on this video, but you just saved me a lot of time.
Sadly the social media has been dead since I left in 2019. While it was great in the 90s, the mid 2010's were also golden years. Sadly the community have moved to Babylon Park, Funland & Freeplaycity. It's frustrating because this place could still be great, but I feel pride is preventing certain people from accepting help, running tournaments, or bringing the community back. *Edit* It's mad seeing your 2018 video. There was big community there, whichever day you came in, you'd see groups of friends. Just shows how management affects everything.
Your years were the best years man. There was a time where you could be in Namco, Troc or Las Vegas and know damn near everyone inside. Hell, you would randomly bump into people you knew just in the West End in general.
My go to arcade when I visit London. I usually visit when its not busy, more relaxing for me. I just play PIU most of the time, then DDR and Taiko sometimes.
@@dotnetdevni it's still busy. New owners now, they are very disconnected with the customers. So expect the machines to not work as well as you might want them to
Nothing against your video at all, but this place honestly is Garbage. It used to be so much better in the 1990s they had much more fighting games with better quality joysticks. It wasnt downstairs where it feels like such a small claustrophobic space and its gets very hot down there, and they had real arcade pcbs inside their machines instead of using pandora boxes 🤮🤢
I am a chicken from the kitchen, and I ain't kiddin', although nothing is written
Budder budder budder, joins the bowl.
Amazing, variety for different arcade type people.

it's the (steve) smart era right now! Refuse all help and go all in on casual gameplay.

Remember where are you going to las vegas, U.S.A. about several years ago? It was superb for all the new arcades
Looking good.

It could be! it's a popular casual location for many people here!
1:20 jubeat like a game with 16 buttons to push it until the song finishes.
1:44 Pump It Up like Dance Dance Revolution.
3:31 DDR A20!
