Visiting the Soho one was awesome, will definitely have to give this one a look some time too!

It was a great day out at the Soho one with you. Will have to do it again sometime.

Enjoyed this, I’ve been to the Birmingham one a couple of times but this looks way better. I’m pretty sure the Brum one doesn’t do food. I didn’t realise it was such a big chain, so many venues. Great video!

Yeah they've got quite a few new ones open recently. Been interested to see what the other ones are like.

I’ve been to NQ64 a couple of times. The first in Soho, the next 2 in Shoreditch. Looking to go back up on the 2nd of December and wow it’s a lot of fun. For me, Time Crisis 2 and 3 as well as House of the Dead 2 I’m looking forward to revisiting, but the other ones I’m excited to go back to are Point Blank 1 and 3. Never actually played Point Blank until then and I regret never having played before, now I completely get why most say it’s one of the best light gun series.

I've never tried point blank. Will have to keep an eye out for it next time. Think Time Crisis is always highlighted as the shooter to play at any arcade, similar to house of the dead as the horror game to play. Both great venues and I found the staff at Shoreditch to be very friendly as well.

@@HowToGameDifferently It’s very much a challenged base lightgun game. No bad guys, no set story path, just a bunch of challenges that will (definitely with some of them) test your aim and skill. It could sound mundane, but it’s actually really fun. Like, really fun. I love that they have the first Time Crisis in Soho (for context on how surprised I was, I’ve beaten all of the time crisis games and in one credit…I hadn’t even seen a glimpse in person of a TC1 cabinet until I went back in around June. That’s how rare (at least around West Sussex) I found this machine to be, even during times I remember like 2009, 2010 I still had never found it. Now I can say I’ve beaten all 5 games in the arcade. They even had a Fix it Felix jr game at Shoreditch…I didn’t know that was now actually a thing. Oh and the staff at the places are top notch. What were your top 5 arcade games you played there?

If I'm ever in London, this would be cool to do. It reminds me of a similar bar or two in the central city not far from where I live - I don't know why I stopped going to them, maybe just evening outings or going to bars lost their appeal to me, which is a shame because the games and systems are very similar to NQ64.

Think the appeal becomes less in age to be fair. I'm not really a go out late type of person, but I've recently tried to push myself to go to more places like this to explore and try out.

Gives me a serious Lazer Quest vibe from when I was a kid (in a good way). We've got a few similar places here in Toronto, but most have a cover charge & then free play on the arcades. That might sound good but since they're downtown the main demographic is college kids who don't know how to handle their booze, so you end up with a bunch of semi-functional arcades which can kinda suck.
Seems like that isn't an issue with NQ64, will have to keep it in mind when traveling.

Yeah I can see the connection to Lazer Quest with the neon walls, etc. That's a shame to hear about the one in Toronto. Hopefully it improves over time!
