The Ender 3 is an outstanding 3D Printer which can be picked up for less than $200. I also think it's very newbie friendly. Glad to see a segment on 3D printing as there is nothing better than free inserts for some of my favorite games.

This is perfect!! This is the first segment I look for on Boardgame Breakfast. Glad they're all in one spot.
It was great to meet you at Gencon!

You’re doing a wonderful job, Roy! Enjoying your segments about 3D printing. Putting all this info into a single video in chronological order was a great idea!

Loved the vide and now I’m going to buy myself a 3D printer.
Just wandering what should be the best option specially for small pieces and trays. I would love to print the castle of Burgundy pieces in 3D.
Last guy in the video mention Prusa?
Any recommendation for less than $500?

Really great video, love all the content. I would like to know more about how selected what printer you selected and why, vs. What other contributors purchased and why

It's nice to see that 3d printers are becoming more affordble, but why would you put one underneath a sink?

Hey Roy! I'm considering getting into 3D printers now, and had a lot of questions in general, but just one for you - do you still use that Tianse brand for filament? You mentioned it costs about $17, but that was from a few years ago and it looks like that price has jumped to over $30, so I was curious as to whether you still use that and why you settled on that brand or why you have switch to a different one.
    Thanks!

I think for inserts and similar that the best solution is not a 3D-printer, but a laser cuter. You can use it to cut thin wood or acryl plates into the forms and build boxes (or counters) from it. Do you think the higher cost is justified to get both options (there are devices where you could exchange the printing head with a laser head, so you have a 2-in-1 device)?

I've been 3D printing for about 6 months, but basically everyday. I've thought about the laser cutter but as far as for board gaming exclusively, I think the 3D printer is a better investment. The higher cost of a 2 in 1 is going to be very subjective. I also don't know how many laser cut inserts are available for download (I do know some exist), so you may be doing a lot of designing. I just don't see a lot of other use for a laser cutter other than the inserts, but maybe I just think in terms of 3D printing because I have one.

Great episode, I know this is not a 3D print related question, but anyone knows where to get custom made boxes? (I love Chez Geek) and wanna have a box to fit it all

For anyone looking for a series of tutorial videos for Tinkercad, you can't do wrong by Eunny:

She's a very creative maker from South Korea and has made a ton of interesting designs. She's quite skilled with Tinkercad and you can really learn a lot from her. Happy making!
