Thanks for the play through, Mike! I backed this purely for the Elder Scrolls lore, having never played a CTG. I’ve been getting a bit nervous though not really knowing what u had gotten myself into. Your play through was relaxed and reassuring! I’m really looking forward to the games arrival!
I believe you should have been able to open both of those chests when you moved through them. I think you could have also gambled on killing the bear by using your Khajiit ability to move up to the 3rd one and open all 3 in one turn. You would have been only one space away but YOLO.
Mike thank you so very much!!! I trust your thoughts on this as you like Too Many Bones like myself. When will your review be coming out on this? Will Tom be trying this as well? (I want to know his thoughts as well)
Was going to watch, but can't sit through yet another archer play through. This game is supposed to allow loads of different builds so not sure why every content creator is picking the same class.
@@michaeldilisio557 That's cool, if you are just doing this for fun rather than a job you should absolutely just pick the combo that sounds most fun for you. I hope you are enjoying the game, can't wait until my copy arrives.
@@ProfArmitage218 I thought the whole Stealth Archer thing was only for Skyrim, the action RPG computer game due to the limitations of the combat system. Definitely not the case for ESO and I wouldn't have thought for a turn based, tactical strategy board game either.
I feel like it's a game where the immersion comes thorugh the investment you've made towards building your character and putting it to the test in cool and diverse combat sections, similar to what Slay the Spire have recently done, and a 5 day run out of the almost 30 day a campaign offer, will probably not show how this game shines. Even though I love Mike, this play through was a bit lack luster in terms of showing the meat of the game (combat), so I'd recommend you to see One Stop Coop Shop's game plays too, if you are slightly interested in seeing what this game can offer. That being said, it's just the opinion of someone who has following this project very closely, so take it with a grain of salt!
Same as what vinicius said. The main draw in this game seems to be that you really get to build up your own character. That doesn't really happen by Day 5 of the first session. Having watched Rob's Gaming Table and Canje, your character seems to get a lot more powerful in the second session. Plus, you get into delves and dungeons, which Mike didn't get to do. As for upkeep, this game seems to be fairly simple with regard to that (compare to Gloomhaven). The enemy skills do require checking the reference sheet quite often though. This is just my opinion, though, as someone who backed the game and loves the world of Elder Scrolls 😊
Thanks Mike, love your solo play throughs. More please!

I love the way you explain your games!! Looking to see more of you videos! :)

Thanks for the vid Mike!!! If you could choose better game or harder game solo between Hoplomachus or Elder Scrolls, do you have any thoughts?

Looks great! How did you like it?
Where can I buy it?
Im so jealous right now. Cheers
Cloudspire next?
This is great. I do wish your video quality was better though. 1440p at least please!

That’s of course your choice. I didn’t consult any other videos out there and simply went with the build that sounded fun to me.

It's the Elder Scrolls. Every character eventually becomes a stealth archer. :)

@@DrChud616Yeah! How dare Mike try to have fun while working. The nerve!
Please do anything but Black Marsh...
And thank you of course
Also, everyone is always an archer and usually add stealth (sounds like Skyrim). Glad he didn't go shadow.
@@gregkleinfall1901 Indeed. What can you do? 😁
You don't want surprises when you play the game?
I like games of this genre, but this seems like a lot of work and upkeep for very little reward. Too much process and too little immersion.

For not being an "explain how to play" video, you surely do a lot of explaining how to play.
I bet the board game has the same bugs as the Xbox version.
