I would suggest that in cold weather, put the couch on a diagonal. That way when you sit down to relax the colder air coming off the walls and widows won't blow right on your necks and chill you.

At 18 minutes I became aware of an absolutely horrible "thump - thump" type audio noise of the sound track. I wish you would avoid those horrible noises.

FYI you never want to get the edge with a hammer cut you off at peace about 6 inches long and then tack a board the top of it and use that to tap the pieces in place so you don’t ever damage the tongue and groove. You guys are doing a good job looks great.

If I were you I would paint the orange looking kitchen cabinetry! A neutral color would be best in an open concept area. Bring in color with pillows, rugs, curtains, etc… love the couch color!!!!!

Its great you get to see certain milestones. LIke actually getting to have a real couch, and getting that couch means the floor will be down too.
The flooring composite turned out fine thanks to Greg being handy with that portable saw. The Maximum floor nailer also turned out to really prove its worth. Nothing says home more than a nice-sized couch.

Since you are not happy with the color of the cabinet facing the living room area, perhaps you could paint it, or sand it a bit and put a little bit darker stain on it. helpful hint (hopefully); a pair of plastic saw horses and an old solid core door will make an excellent work bench. You will then have a stable platform to operate your skill saw. It will be be a LOT safer. It is portable and when you don't need it, it doesn't take up too much room. Keep on truckin'.

Love the couch and I would suggest a day cover on it so the cat's fur and claws don't snag it??? How are you finishing the stairs??? Wow talk about an instant change to the whole room looks beautiful for sure. Looks like only things to do are window trims, tile for kitchen floor and foyer. What's going under the fireplace? WOW how EXCITING!!! God Bless you ALL and what a total change that flooring has made. The colors are fine with the cabinets...live with it for a while and who knows maybe you can find a couple of decorative throw pillows for an accent on the couch that are similar in color to your cabinets. If you sew they are so easy to make. I have made lots of throw pillows for various rooms it works.

Very nice job on the flooring, it’s pretty. Cork comes in multiple colors and either in sheets or tiles. You could glue it to the island, it would absorb sound, insulate a bit and look cool.
That was hip in the sixties.

Easy fix to paint the back of the cabinet when you decide on colors for walls, area rugs etc. However now that the floor is colors look good.

I have done a few houses where I met tile with hardwood, and all I can say is that as long as done right it does not matter, Besides that it's your house your rules!
Hi this off grid life folks. I was watching your shower install and your going to have issues with rot and mold in the future. Don't want to put you nice folks down. You can't put white drywall in shower enclosure., It's not mold resistant. Got to be blue or green. Plus that pine will start to rot from condensation in a couple of years. Just a little friendly advice before you do the finishes. Flooring looks great.

Another option besides paint, tile, shiplap, barnboard is peel and stick wallpaper - so many choices and if you don’t like it or get sick of it, peel the shit off and try something else.
you could use some spare flooring to cover the side of the worktop and that way bring the floor and hte countertop together ( maybe even just on the side )

Floor looks great and love the couch. Maybe shiplap around the back of the bench in something that blends better. Your right it seems to be a little too orange and clashes with your lovely blue couch as well. The dogs playing together was so cute. ❤️
