Looks absolutely amazing. I agree that the black pulp-wiping assembly looks much better, but that being said I still like the white one despite the possibility of staining because it more clearly and easily helps you see if any mold has built up under the wipes. But this is minor and can be avoided with either color by occasional cleaning. Everyone has different juicer preferences like John said, and I personally cannot get over how incredibly powerful the torque of the Slowstar is. Have never been able to stop it up. Thanks John keep up the great work.
I purchased the SW 2000 from you some time ago. It's a great machine and I've never been able to clog it up. One issue I have is the handle on the juicing bowl gets filled with produce. Tribest suggests to remove the handle to clean it. That extends the cleaning time to 20 minutes each time I use it. Much easier for me to put the machine back in the pantry and use my Omega VSJ843. Maybe you would have a suggestion about cleaning the handle! Great video, John!
depends. There are pros and cos to peeling. Pro: If you are storing juice it will last longer because you are removing outside skin where bacteria live. Con: Lowers nutrition of the juice, most nutrition is in/near the skin. In addition, you will lose a good chunk of the microbiome component of your food. I prefer to always leave my peels on. (Unless they are bad/moldy) or something. Plus I save time.
This juicer can juice wheatgrass. If you want to juice ALOT of wheatgrass, I recommend the Solostar 4. Its a better machine for juicing straight wheatgrass. See th-cam.com/video/V5cpxNFZQI4/w-d-xo.html for the proper technique for juicing wheatgrass in ANY vertical slow juicer
Thanks John, for your reply. I am looking to juice small amounts of fruits, more vegetables, and some wheatgrass, sprouts, and leafy greens. Just want an all-around juicer that can handle moderate amounts of different things. Don't want to have to buy 2 different juicers if possible. Will be growing small amounts of wheatgrass to have a few times a week perhaps. If juicing small amounts wheatgrass solo, can this be accomplished in one juicer? Thanks for your attention to this question. PS-Love all your videos.
For mostly greens, sprouts and vegetables, with little fruit, you want to go for a single auger horizontal, such as one of the two in the video below: th-cam.com/video/18NH3Scj_r8/w-d-xo.html
John, I like the Slostar 4, but they have not updated it in a few years, and the chute is so small. Any chance they will increase size of chute in near future or come out with updated model in near future?
Hey there, just wanted to say great videos ! Iv learned a ton from your footage and have made a lot of changes in my life style. One thing I did want to ask was, I know you are a raw foodist from seeing some of you other videos, and after doing some research here and there , what are your thought on the whole "teeth erosion /teeth problems" that people claim also as some studies show ? I know this isn't the place to ask this , figured it be the easiest way to get ahold of u. Let me know what your experience is with that whole situation and what your thoughts are on it please. Thanks for your time and keep on juicing !
It can be an issue on ANY diet. Best to eat a vegetable dominated diet. Little Dried fruits and have proper teeth care. Please see th-cam.com/video/LkbLShFp49c/w-d-xo.html for a video I did on the topic
Thanks for the reply Botha ! Found that video after I asked the question, do appreciate u taking your time to answer and everything you do for the health community ! Keep doing your thing, your lots of help to a lot of people !
The gears have not changed on the juicer. I am aware of only a few isolated incidents of the wiping blade gear breaking. From the feedback we get from our customers, rarely do we have any problems with the gear. I personally believe it has to do with how the juicer is being used, and it is likely not being used how I recommend. (rotating produce, not using pusher, not feeding too quickly, and having a balanced recipe)
okay so I just started eating healthy I have a Nutribullet for blending then I watched fat sick and nearly dead now i want a juicer. then I see these vacuum blender demonstrations so here's the question if I want to keep things simple and have one machine should I wait for the vacuum blender since I don't mind the pulp and all the fiber and just blend everything in a vacuum and make smoothies instead of juicing I just can't have 3 or 4 appliances for best fruits and vegetables number one I can't afford it and number two it just wouldn't fit my lifestyle
There are pros and cons to blending AND juicing. The best is to get the appliance that is right for you. I personally prefer juicing over blending (even vacuum blending) because it allows you to consume higher volumes of produce and thus get more nutrition. Best is getting a slow juicer and a vacuum blender and use both to displace other foods you would be eating.

Omg !!! You scared me, I just ordered a juicer from you a few days ago. I thought a new version was out already ... Geeeesssssh!!!

Cleaning inside the handle can be challenging. I think its really important to just not get stuff in there in the first place.

Hey John, do you know if putting ice cubes or frozen fruit in the mincer attachment will void the warranty?
the mincing attachment was designed for processing frozen fruit. Ice Cubes should be fine as well.
I've seen a lot of people peel the outside layer of the carrots before juicing. Is there a benefit to that or is it a waste of time?
depends. There are pros and cos to peeling.
Pro: If you are storing juice it will last longer because you are removing outside skin where bacteria live.
Con: Lowers nutrition of the juice, most nutrition is in/near the skin. In addition, you will lose a good chunk of the microbiome component of your food.

So the only difference is the color of the base and the color of the wiping blade??
correct :)
It's NEW color technology!!!!
How about a juice off: the Green star elite vs the Omega vsg. Now That'll be a Juice Off! We wanna See it!
What about wheatgrass in this juicer?

I am not aware of any upgrades to that machine at this time. If you want a larger feed chute, go with the NC800
Can I used the suction lid for the vitamix
Probably not. Each juicer has a different lid shape and lids are not transferable between brands.

what is your opinion on the juice extractor juice machine stainless steel on Amazon, I'm new at this so I would like your opinion thank you😛
There are many different juicers on the market. Each one has their own pros and cons.
bring on the vacuum blenders John!
next video. :)
Do you ship to a p.o. box?
We ship via fedex and they do not ship to PO box addresses. WE can ship to your street address.

I just bought the red Slowstar a week ago and panicked a little when I saw this video
same thing, different colors, no need to panic :)
👍✳️👍✳️👍✳️
too much pulp ....
it's a juicer so that excuse about people wanting to drink pulpy juice is not stable .
