Gosh ….I bet I’ve watched hundreds of van builds, but THIS is BY FAR my favorite! I’m from Germany living in Texas and this made my heart soar with nostalgia for a simpler time. Well done Anthony! I love the rivets and and sink in particular but could list a bunch more. 👏👏👏👏

I got a little emotional watching the interior tour. It kind of surprised me when he closed the door and it had that wonderful foliage display and the windows in the bedroom. The interior is amazing and is indeed like a real home. The decor is terrific, " Thanks Mom!" It's the most special story and build I've ever seen. 💗

@@clarkclarke After building 5 vans and living in them for 7 years, I found going from the front to the back is much less a big deal than I thought. In the future if I do it again, I am going to have a pocket door or a flip up counter situation. I feel where you're coming from though.

I love this van! The cottage theme is my favorite. I love the sink and the entire sink area. I love how extended the kitchen work area is with the fold down wood at the door. I like that it is rounded and curved not straight. All the details are great.

WOW! I usually prefer modern, sleek van builds. But...this van build tour immediately gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Actually, I think it lowered my blood pressure. I'm not really a fan of the old world look but it definitely was soothing to my soul. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! A work of art and labor of love.

@@opiavisuals Ohhh the only thing I’d want is emergency access into the cab, preferably through the shower behind the corrugated tin. I’d assume you’d have to flip into the front over the drivers seat but that would be ok in a pinch. Absolutely perfect layout though. Beautifully designed!

What a beautiful build. The layout is awesome. Toilet & shower too, but still has a big kitchen. The wood, the colors, the brick, the wallpaper, the sink, the tiny windows, the decor and all its details, all of it is just amazing!! Can't say enough about it! So much character. Definitely cozy & homey! A full-blown tiny home in a van.

Details and craftmanship are EVERYTHING. This build is full of thoughtful design, and the result is delightfully marvelous. The wood-framed window sills complete with curtains and potted plants; the flowers in the door was the BEST surprise; the European sink with the wallpaper and slatted wood walls and ceiling; the wood shelves, the colors themselves, and the ART. WOW. All the bedroom details... those sconces are the best... pair with battery candles and no fire hazard... the paned windows + ivy and light... so enchanting and wonderful. It all works together SO WELL. Like a freaking movie set. Someone mentioned they thought it lowered their blood pressure because it was so lovely and they weren't even a fan of this type of decor! OK now, really... what a testimony. That carpeting also helps reduce echo; the slide horizontal window for kitty to come visit you up front... more and more details that are just perfect. This guy "gets" old world charm and would probably make a killing selling more of these. I feel like it's a tiny hobbit home on wheels! I feel so fortunate to have seen this tour! The wonders of modern technology that it can reach basically anyone at all to view. Can't say enough!!! 💖💖💖 I just don't know that I can go with modern sleek after seeing this!!

I really appreciate you taking the time to say such things.
There’s a a lot of time to deliberate on these things when building them continuously for 6 months straight. So I had plenty of time to keep tinkering with the final outcome. I did however have an overall feel and general living style I wanted it go for and I didn’t want to sacrifice on detail and functionality. It was very cathartic for me after my heart was shattered.

This van is chock full of charm and character and I was surprised by the attention to detail and furnishings. So quirky and reminiscent of ole English cottage.

I love all of the exquisite charm & detailed woodwork in this van. It immediately envelops you in the character and warmth of an English pub aesthetic with all the wood, brick, dark beamed ceiling, etc He packs a ton of features into it and yet it remains cozy and charming. Perhaps he should consider a Tuscan villa aesthetic as his next endeavor. Regardless, I have no doubt whichever direction he goes, the end result will be stunning!

@@opiavisuals really? Are you serious? I just bought a van. It's a 1999 Chevy express. It's in really bad shape on the inside bcuz a paint can exploded. It has metal shelves inside that I have to rip out too. I have my work cut out for me HOWEVER, I'd graciously accept help from someone as skilled as you.
This isn't MY personal aesthetic but WOW! I am blown away with the attention to detail! Will borrow some of these ideas for my own build (I have a mini skoolie) because I also believe that the little details and finishing touches are what make something from "nice" to "wow!". Thanks so much for sharing!

Patrick In the beginning you described it perfectly. To me it looks like a old lived in home with character. The kitchen and countertop space is perfect, plenty of room for making any kind of meal. I like the separation of the bedroom. Shower, toilet, seating, and table is all included. The bedroom windows looking out to a brick wall with greenery is very cool. When you sit in this place there’s a lot of details to look at that’ll give you that warm fuzzy feeling. Great job, thanks.

Beautiful van, extremely good eye for details. The sink is not a regular kitchen sink, but the kind we use for outdoors situations, barns, sheds: it’s metal so suitable for any condition, and it’s especially used for emptying buckets.
Wow, I am in awe of the good taste and talent it took to build that! It has the feel of a country cabin, warm and cozy right from the "welcome"ing entrance on! That sink is gorgeous! Everything from the paneling and ceiling, the archway, the windows by the bed (ivy!!!), the real window by the table complete with sill, your mom's plates, the fall flowers over the door, the outdoor antique showerhead, etc., all soooooo good! Really VERY impressive! Thank you both for sharing. I'm going to watch again now...

I’m not a big fan of rustic van builds. More of a Euro style guy but this thing has character! I would say gypsy wagon meets Promaster. We’ll done!
It's a fine line between old rustic and beauty. For me, it comes down to authentic materials, attention to detail and good use of space so it's natural feeling. Nothing I did was by accident and thought over many times. I'm glad you dig it.

It seems to be solid. it's between 1800-2200 lbs and the van holds about 4000. It didn't lose gas mileage much and does not feel weighed down. It feels steady and happy.

What a lovely man & van build. As someone whose style has been called eclectic & cosy, (maybe even cluttered 🤷♀️) this feels like home.
He seems very genuine & even a bit shy/nervous, and did a great job talking us through an obvious labour of love. I hope it was cathartic.
(one thing I do love about other builds though is the clean aesthetic, which for me is an escape from my real life to a more minimalist version of myself, so don't know that I want to travel in something that reminds me so much of my home 😬😂)

Carpet on vertical surfaces is insulation and softens sound too. I can see and hear the love you are directing into this worthy undertaking. Thanks for sharing all the features both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I’ve got bundles of that brick and now you’ve showed where it can go. All so inviting with old world charm..
Thanks ! And yeah. Thin brick is great. I’d highly suggest using a flexible mortar wherever you live. Kerflex plus is what I use and so far it’s great.

oh my gosh, is THAT beautiful!!! 🙂 sorry, to say that: many "male-buildt" RVs are too cold for my taste, many "female-buildt" RVs are too playfull or romatic for my taste, but this one here is fantastic!!! old-fashioned, but functional, cosy but straight and clear, open, but cleverly closed storage, well organized in one kind of style..... thanks a lot for showing us your home! 🙂

I LOVE unusual, artsy vans like this that bring back the hippy/gypsy/artistic vibe of the 60's and 70's! Whe they brought back the Pacific northwest look or like this, Homelike! This has to be one of my most favourite vans!
