George, I think this is your best build yet. It's loaded with almost every feature imaginable, but without sacrificing storage capacity. This would definitely be a great van for a full timer. I love the maxi-me idea and I'd also love to see a non-extended Transit build for single traveler, perhaps the major-me?

If I ever hit the lottery the first thing I'm going to do is set up an appointment with George. His van builds are second to none.
I just discovered George, and I'm absolutely floored with his attention to detail, and the amount of thought that goes into the systems in his builds.
Love his work. If I ever decide to go full time "van life", he's the guy I'd want building my van... even though I'm out west, in AZ.

I won't need a van for a few years but I want to have one built just so George can build it. Incredible!
Oh my .. I'm halfway through and WANT ONE! One thought is to add rubbery non slip treads to the brilliant bed step .. in care feet, that wood could be slippery if the feet hit it halfway. LUV the drop step for bed .. at 5'2" I haven't slide OFF our mattress that is 32" high! (Hense the no slip 'foot landing' observation.) Back to watching the rest.. thank you!

This is the most best built van that I’ve watched on TH-cam very high-quality well designed only thing that I didn’t like was the toilet but he came up with a good alternative on what to do which I have not done before anyways great video great builder

I enjoy his builds and how much thought he puts into it but there's no reason something that small should take over a year to build
Anyone with common sense knows that anything that is a totally custom design takes a lot more time. Add to that supply chain issues that still aren't fully resolved and you wind up with a long build time. ARV, another high-end custom builder is taking 15 months, on average, to complete its vans. Sure, there are van builders that can turn vans out in 4-6 months, but they are not FULLY custom vans and they are not built to anywhere near this standard. That's the difference.
@@dlg5485 Anyone with common sense knows you can build it in 4 months! Do you hear yourself? You sound like a idiot. Maybe he's not that skilled. Skilled Craftmans can do the same quality quicker with experience

They are on a year backlog from customer demand. The build itself does not take that long.

I've tried getting into these but I just cant. There to small, I'd never get comfortable.. Put a slide out wall and a slide up wall for a loft. It'll have to transform quite a bit when parked or when on the move..

I want to know the cost
I wish van builders would start their videos with what the van owner needed in Roads condition, then Capacity/ purpose of the vehicle. Campgrounds w hookups or boondocking far away from services?, Personal hygiene/shower or gym membership?, dining out or eating in? What percentage of their days? especially how often they will be replenishing their supplies of water, sewer, food and what type of food stores and prep is required? Then describe the climate intended. Everything built around that must answer those needs. If you are a van builder you need a professional approach to how you solve these tasks, whether this builder loves seeing marine switches exposed, a cabinet drawer wo a bottom to see magnets, making it easy for taking off a liner with 3 srews is not important. Lastly you must mention the budget for the level of build quality & luxury needed.

Homies building a yacht on land lol. I love George’s vans though. He’s the only one that’s providing this much quality for the price he charges. These off shoot builders are just ex house builders. George was building boats and it shows. Hands down don’t give those clowns your money just call George.

No hanging closet? Or did I miss it? Client didn’t want one?
If the client asked for a hanging closet, George would’ve put them one in for them. Many experienced RVers and Vanners don’t op for hanging in closets because they rarely hang things. Most of the stuff is folded and putting in the cabinets.

i know that but he said that was the biggest van the manufacturer makes.
I have a 2000 Ford e-350 that was a passenger van and converted it a bit... More for work and camping once in a while .. so I don't have all that in it but it seems not as cramped ..
I love how he said he likes wide walk though space from front to back so that two people can pass each other... Never gonna happen .. that's like 2 ft max .. barely enough for one to get through 🤣🤣🤣
Of all the van builders I’ve watched on TH-cam to date (which is many), this guy and his company are the best, in my opinion. Every aspect is thoughtful and innovative.

I asked him, about a Promaster price. And he said if used should be less than 35k, I think. Then he said that expect to spend 250k for one of his builds but not sure if that included the van. Too much for me!

Have you ever met someone more dedicated to how the functionality of the van meshes with design aesthetic? George is amazing from precision fabrication to his eye for pleasing architectural detail. Just Wow. Love the comforter quilted by Yvonne too.

I Love @humbleroad ! :) His designs are so well thought out and I love how he designs everything so you can access the behind the scenes stuff when you need to. I'm an Engineer and just love how his mind works with his designs.
Doing a cardboard build out first and having the client make changes after seeing the cardboard build out is First Class.
I stole his idea and built cardboard mockups for our van. Now, five years later we still love our layout and have not had to change a thing. Thanks a LOT George!!!

I live in Singapore and doubt there’ll ever be an opportunity for me to own a vehicle with such a person-centred, considerate, honest, intelligent and good quality design/build. But in a parallel world, if I ever want to embark on van-life, only George and Humble Road will do. Nobody else.

@@barbarafarrington7146 - Interesting! I like that thought! I assume that your thinking of a toy hauler back drop deck on the side or back, to give outdoor space to use inside. Edit: A plain class B would require a lot of frame work to make that happen, but a c? That could be done ✅! Edit 2: Just searched for and found a few class C’s and Super C’s with toy hauler capabilities, it is doable!
