It’s so sad that Anne Lister died so young and everything they fought to have together ended. I feel so sorry for Ann Walker, all they went though. It must have been so hard for Ann to have to have arranged to repatriate Anne’s body and deal with funeral, then live alone.
It's not an easy life, it makes me mad when people say we choose it. When we never stood a chance. Who wants to love someone and never be able to express her love
Right?!? I grew up very catholic and butch and gay as the day is long...It was very hard to come out as a teenager but once I truly accepted myself around age 17 I've never looked back. I see so much of myself in Anne Lister. We choose love and personal truth...those are the only "choices" in the matter.
It is already hard enough now in 2019, but to think of what men and women 200 and more years ago had to go through... It makes me look up to women like Anne Lister and Anne Walker, they both found a courage in their own way that many of us still struggle to find now. Anne Walker also faced other challenges and I think for the time she had with Anne Lister she may have finally found a happiness she may never have found previously.
This is a beautiful edit, the words time perfectly with the scenes you placed them with and do not detract from the beauty of those scenes. The music you used is also a perfect match to the story you allowed to unfold. Thank you for taking the time to create and share this with all of us.
