I was in 7th grade when you made this video damn time flys, i aint know about hondas til 2009 thats when it started to pop on google lol when we found out parts came from japan that made these cars better
@automotiveDIY its running off a 1.8 basemap and chipped no rev. ive never felt any loss in power. with this setup (motor/ecu/vtec) it went 13.6 best time. i think thats pretty awesome. my brothers crx with this ecu and vtec setup went 12.8. there arent any videos posted up on it and im sure you and others will deny it, but it happened. you have to do this yourself to understand. most people wont even go there.
@rippedwarrior69 im sure you watched the video. the tach wasnt intended to use for the rpm. it was the shiftlight feature that i was going for to control my vtec at the time because i was young and broke. it worked for me and my brother for over 6 years.
@CoolGuyDanny182 the engine wasnt bought the way it is. i pieced it together by sourcing parts all over the place and assembled it myself. its capable of spanking new Si if you have some good seat time (drivers mod) and some good bolt on. for its full potential, get it tuned.
its a 92-95 EG mugen lip. polyurethane, will fot hatches but since the sedan bumper is longer by 3 inches you need to trim the edges. on my bumper it fits perfectly.
yes rod bolt and valve train is highly recommend to take it more than 7500rpm. i didnt have or know about them at the time. i still it to 8200rpm. i ran an LS ecu chipped no rev limitor and my tach is my vtec controller. had it like that for 6+ years no issues. but i know have a p06 converted vtec obd1 setup.
@hernandadmx thanks. im a big person and i hate having to recline my seat for ppl to get in you know. plus 4dr can go fast too. if you want to see how much i love this car, watch my current videos. this motor was years back. it went from this b20 > b20vtec > lsvtec > lsvtecturbo > built lsvtecturbo :)
i love the 4doors. my original plan was the hatch, but i cant bare to keep reclining back an forth for people to get in. so i went with a 4dr and show that 4dr can put it down too. its our choice bro. whatever suits you best.
i wait for items to show up cheap and the scoop it up. the setup above was about 1000 for the complete motor being put together and then the mounts/linkage was ~250.
thanks. i still dont get how people cant tell the difference with rota slipstreams and spoon sports..but yes at the time i was broke but i found ways to make money that doesnt involve drugs. 3g's not bad for an 01, good luck with it.
just the b20 block as is. a ready to go short block. mated with a b16 head with a vtec conversion kit.. you probably just need standard size bearings and it should just go right in. plastigauge should be used for like aftermarket items or something not in standard size.
bro its a Frankenstein motor i put together. the setup is all over the world! the title does not say its a stock engine, it does in fact it is a b20vtec like i said, it consist of a b20b block with a b16 vtec head. buy the conversion kit to have the CRV block run the vtec head.
@jpriki1234 lol. ls stock is non-vtec too. you put a vtec head on the ls block as you would on the b20 and make either or a vtec engine. mines a b20b if you didnt see the stamp on the engine in my video here with a vtec head making it a b20vtec.
my motor was pieced from craigslist. i spend ~ 1000 for my b20vtec+b16 trans than bought an ls block for 20 that last 3.5 years before my recent video. depends on what motor you are trying to buy. a whole or lsvtec/b20vtec. shops/online are legit, CL, you never know.
get some arp rod bolts and you can take it that high. but also depends on the valve train, they also allow you to take it up to 10k and make raising power depending on what it is. i take mine to 8000 cause the power band still goes up to there before it drops.
anything for a guy who apreciates the treasure he has instead of naming it...just a pile of junk with tires...like many do...but your car really is something valuable
i'd tell you if i knew..but just recently, my cousins b20vtec was idling at like ~1400 and we got a new intake manifold gasket which brought it down to ~900. so imma give that a shot since i never ever bought a new one for the last 3 years
yea, back in the days was all like that. 16's and under, lip, misc add ons is what it is today. bodykits were fun while it lasted before all the noobs started calling it rice.
You have a short ram cold air intake with no ventilation to get the cold air to the intake. You will get little or no extra power if all you are taking in is engine heat from the engine bay
i cant upload it for some reason. i mean i leave it uploading for hours and its only a 1 min clip..and it would still say uploading. i have hella, i mean HELLA CMI vids of my car running with the B20vtec and the LSVTEC..what area are you from? theres not that many meets. check honda-tech norcal meet forums. theres some upcoming ones
Love the engine bay, and the black slipstreams, but why is it idling so fast, also wish it had the plastic black bumpers and a teal green paintjob, would look awesome
cars are also supposed to idle at higher rpm when warming up. my civic idles at about 1,300-1,500 when warming up and when its warmed up it idles at around 900
? slammed on suspension?? :P yea my pulley hits too on my radius rod. but thats cause i dont have the 90-93 integra driver side mount to the block..so my engine is slanted a bit (stock LS pulley)
that tach does not control your vtec. sure it may engage the solenoid using the shift light, but there is no way that it tells the ecu to switch to the vtec fuel map, so you are gonna be losing power when vtec engages.
i removed the tint that was on there. i hate tints period. i have Si front seats, minty as fuk. my back seats are now black along with the rest of my interior. you posted a random ass comment.
I like to go back sometimes and watch these old videos to see where it all started. Back in the sedan days.
I was in 7th grade when you made this video damn time flys, i aint know about hondas til 2009 thats when it started to pop on google lol when we found out parts came from japan that made these cars better

90-93 integra axles work fine. thats what in have and no issues at all. oil pan does not hit the floor or anything and my car is low (NOW)
yes rod bolt and valve train is highly recommend to take it more than 7500rpm. i didnt have or know about them at the time. i still it to 8200rpm. i ran an LS ecu chipped no rev limitor and my tach is my vtec controller. had it like that for 6+ years no issues. but i know have a p06 converted vtec obd1 setup.
Nice build bro, Keep them classics alive
@hernandadmx thanks. im a big person and i hate having to recline my seat for ppl to get in you know. plus 4dr can go fast too. if you want to see how much i love this car, watch my current videos. this motor was years back. it went from this b20 > b20vtec > lsvtec > lsvtecturbo > built lsvtecturbo :)

thanks, this is an old video. go find my other walk through with my LSVTEC and new paint.
DAmn man. Wish i could find a 4 door to build down here. GL with the build
this video was when i was a broke ass kid. now the car is painted and its been 1 year. watch my other videos.
i wait for items to show up cheap and the scoop it up. the setup above was about 1000 for the complete motor being put together and then the mounts/linkage was ~250.

THANKS. i miss my B20VTEC tho. it has LSVTEC and is also painted. i cant seem to post my new videos.
my first car was a civic EX, i loved him, was the greatest car that i ever had
yea thats me..my motor has now spun a bearing due to previous owner smashing so hard everyday. but got a built b20 block on the way..stay tune
anything for a guy who apreciates the treasure he has instead of naming it...just a pile of junk with tires...like many do...but your car really is something valuable

Thanks. one of a kind in my area. i feel special, lol
yea, back in the days was all like that. 16's and under, lip, misc add ons is what it is today. bodykits were fun while it lasted before all the noobs started calling it rice.
temp gauge works. it was a cold start.
Hey, is this my_efsedan? I saw your build thread on H-T. Sounds even better than I expected
You have a short ram cold air intake with no ventilation to get the cold air to the intake. You will get little or no extra power if all you are taking in is engine heat from the engine bay
@JetStreet at the time, most of things i bought on this car came from craigslist.
thanks. build is completed.
its a 92-95 HATCH/Coupe not sedan, Polyurethane Mugen Front lip. fits perfect.
it does..but setup is gone. new one in mid august.
are you serious? different year of dohc vtec motor comes with different valve cover. this is a GSR VC on a b16 head.
back in the day i had a 89 civic 4 door with the first aggresor body kit on the east coast had it shaved painted lowered 17" rims all back in like 98
Gotta give it up for the ef's, nice 4 door!
i no longer have these rims. they where 205/40/16x7 dropped to no gaps all around.
haha! stay tune for new videos coming soon!
hopefully in 2 months it will be done. today im dropping off the block at the machine shop.
:D Keeping it OLD SCHOOL.
lol the cream colored civic is exactly like mine down to the faded bumpers!
i cant upload it for some reason. i mean i leave it uploading for hours and its only a 1 min clip..and it would still say uploading. i have hella, i mean HELLA CMI vids of my car running with the B20vtec and the LSVTEC..what area are you from? theres not that many meets. check honda-tech norcal meet forums. theres some upcoming ones
this video, it idles at 1k warmed up. also i had some vacuum issues.
this is my car. what kyle are you talking about?
Love the engine bay, and the black slipstreams, but why is it idling so fast, also wish it had the plastic black bumpers and a teal green paintjob, would look awesome
thank you.
DX with Si but its long gone. i have the DX on it now.
i take it up 8200rpm when i race it at the tracks. this video setup is gone as i am now lsvtec turbo.
the car had 206k, block had 80k head had ~200miles. i have racing clips but not driving clips. check profile.
nice ride man and good job on the swap.. did you buy new mounts for the B20 or does it fits right in on this model?
naw, i drove to school that day and drove back home. 12 miles and the video was like an hour after
@SuperJohnny310 not vtec, use a pr4 ls ecu. otherwise phearable . net
cars are also supposed to idle at higher rpm when warming up. my civic idles at about 1,300-1,500 when warming up and when its warmed up it idles at around 900
? slammed on suspension?? :P yea my pulley hits too on my radius rod. but thats cause i dont have the 90-93 integra driver side mount to the block..so my engine is slanted a bit (stock LS pulley)
at warmup its at 1.5-2k when warm its 1-1.2k
thanks, i found it on another sedan in the junkyard.
@MANIAC187KILLA how can you tell? i always triple check to make sure my timing are slacking a bit.
nice setup man, whats the redline on a b20b with the vtec head? im assuming you use a b16 head for it? again wicked car man :D
that tach does not control your vtec. sure it may engage the solenoid using the shift light, but there is no way that it tells the ecu to switch to the vtec fuel map, so you are gonna be losing power when vtec engages.
i removed the tint that was on there. i hate tints period. i have Si front seats, minty as fuk. my back seats are now black along with the rest of my interior.
you posted a random ass comment.
it could be the iacv. right now, i have a check engine light for iacv but my car idles at 800 with that code..
accidently deleted Eks comment, but yes they are the spoons. i sold them already tho.
thanks Bro!
@xeff01 hasport motor mount kit and shift linkage.
thanks!
injectors also make ticking noise.
@racedriver52 why? more electrical issues?
great build bro..lovee efs! had a question is that b20 obd2, also which tranny did you use??
@MegaDarkydark you love my videos though. dont lie. 2 comments in a row?
Nice ride man.
yes + jacked up iacv
he has a phone under his hood. cause thats the only "vtech" i know.
i think its best hands down stock internal'd. mine just has intake. thats all.
LOL are you describing your dream car? in case you didnt know, its not siips, they are Spoon sw388.
my car now idles at 900. before cold start was ~1500 and normal idle is like 1300..thats sad.
what do you mean? hold the clutch down and start it?
@210ROCKSTA i have a built lsvtec topmount turbo for my sedan now..
FASHO! have you check'd out my other walk through vid of my car painted?
its hard to find an obdo iacv.
thanks
yes it does!
i bought it from out of the country for 60 bucks. (just the rear fogs)
i dont know why its reving high..my b20v and lsv both idle at the same rpm..
Respect and love

i like your steering wheel
Civic 4G sedan ROCKS!
