I completely agree! I hope they look into that in the future! Vampires and Spellcasters were done so well! I think Aliens were a bit undercooked in a way because they were the first occult sim added via an expansion and the pack wasn't focused on them in the same way vampires and realm of magic was focused on the specific occult type.
@@PeteyPlaysIt Yeah some of the life states in Sims 4 do feel pretty half-assed and not well fleshed out. The most egregious example are plantsims. Unlike the previous games, their current iteration isn't even permanent. Plus their look and abilities are the laziest in the game thus far.
One time I had an alien study a space rock and he got sad blaming “homesickness”. It actually made me feel really bad since it mentioned how he missed not needing to hide in a disguise 🥺

My alien sim was on a date and had about 3/4 romance with their date and then they autonomously erased their memory, removing all romance, so I just closed the game without saving 😂 I was so mad cuz I had spent ages trying to find a good sim to marry
I have a mermaid mom and her half alien daughter, and the daughter randomly did the memory wipe. I didn't know about it at all to begin with, let alone that it could be done autonomously. So... beware of that? lmao

For people who are wondering how you can integrate aliens into your gameplay: I'm currently playing with two pairs of alien siblings - two guys and two girls, completely unrelated to each other. The brothers are whooing all ladies in town and give them a few babies, no matter if the lucky girl is already married or not. The only ladies who are safe are children, seniors or if the household is already full. I like to pretend that aliens want to spread their DNA in as many worlds as they possibly can in the shortest amount of time. And because all alien babies will be half siblings or cousins and therefore cannot have offspring with each other, I'm bringing in more alien DNA with two alien sisters. Sure, they cannot have as many children at once as the guys, but they still get their due amount of fun in the sheets and that's all that counts. So in the end you should end up with a decent alien population with varying levels of "purity". Maybe I'll add in a few more aliens later to get more interesting skin tones. Another thing I'm doing is I'm aging up the alien babies faster, because in my mind this alien race has evolved to sexually mature incredibly fast so they can spread their DNA faster. But once the aliens have reached maturity, they age as normally as any other sim.
I didn’t even realize how many random aliens there were around my game until my sims happen to be at the bar during “alien night” or whatever where aliens come & pay less for drinks 😂

Aliens are my favorite occult. I have a legacy family that started from an alien so pretty much all her children and grandchildren are aliens except one grand daughter who was adopted and became a spell caster cause they require a human form.
My alien's disguise was to look like a character from Star Wars. I figured, "hey, she didn't know any better", she lands at a sci-convention, and dressed to blend in.
Sims 3 gave the aliens so much more to them. in Sims 3 you were able to fly a sapce ship and attack cities along with having more powers Sims 4 did them dirty. Sims 4 did get Wearwolfs and vampires right though.
It would be cool if the alien rock thing only worked on only aliens that were created in CAS, since if you have an alien be born they won’t know what the alien world is since they were born in the human world

Keep breeding your half sim with another half sim and you should start to have abilities on decendents i just did vampire and alien hybrid and i now can have a disguise and a dark form and alien form

Hi Jade :) From memory they're actually very closely aligned to regular sims. I think it was the sims trying to make them similar to sims 2 aliens where they're essentially normal sims with a different skin colour. They lose all their powers and just keep a few unique alien social interactions when they're hybrid.

The only downside to being married or in a relationship with an alien is if you're male you get abducted and impregnated. I wish that could be turned off especially in those circumstances.

I have a alien female married to a male werewolf. Somehow another alien impregnated him with zero interaction with him. It’s never happened before to my sims.
i remember i had an alien sim that had the option to teleport and there was a proper animation for it of him levitating, then appearing in the other place, please tell me i'm not going crazy and does that really have in the sims 4? 😭
So sadly I think Aliens are a bit different in that you can't transform an existing sim into one through normal gameplay. However I think there is a cheat to do this, being: traits.equip_trait trait_OccultAlien ^admittedly I haven't tried this so I hope it works!
You'll need the Get To Work expansion pack for aliens, and you can create them straight from create a sim (from the create an occult sim) :). From my understanding you can't turn an existing sim into an alien.
@Sl6zzy no cheats needed. There's a slot in CAS where you can switch it to an alien, vampire, mermaid, etc (depending on what expansion packs you have)
For a while now i’ve just been making regular sims, and now im stepping out of my comfort zone- i made a witch who messes with everyone and my boyfriend made an alien and i was soooo amazed like damn- i have most the packs, but i completely overlooked some stuff 🥲
Too bad there's nothing deeper with the aliens, I was hoping for more, but oh well... I guess I'm kinda glad I didn't get the Strangerville expansion, kinda really, fell off the expansions for sims 4, early on, just have Get to work, Get famous, and i think Ger Famous? as well as the Escape to Batuu pack, a few stuff packs, and I just stopped, as they all feels incomplete, and rushed, sadly...

I just really hate that they made the aliens blue instead of green. The first reason is silly, I miss the nostalgia of sims 2 aliens and it would have been an easy carry through. The other reason is that I’m constantly trying to figure out if people are freezing to death! Especially with blue kids running around it’s always making me panic the kids are going to get taken by the social worker all winter long.

So i jumped back into sims 4 afters years later, and im having a blast, so i found an alien, had 2 babies with it, one was human, the other one was green, so i figured hes an alien, but for the life of me, i cant find any articles online as to WHY HE HAS NO POWERS wtf?!? why cant he use any alien powers?!? hes a young adult, theres no option to have a disguise like his mom, Im at wits end as to how to use JUST ONE alien power, uughh

The memory erase power will also erase an Alien's marriage if you use it on their spouse. It will be like they were never married.

youd think when taking a glimpse of back at your home, youd feel sad and homesick, but i guess not here

For all occults they can have a baby together but the baby will only becone one occult with only one occult powers

You can levitate and teleport if your wellness skill is up to a specific skilllevel.

So sadly I think Aliens are a bit different in that you can't transform an existing sim into one through normal gameplay. However I think there is a cheat to do this, being:

Aliens can also be green! And purple too! They aren't limited to only blue :)
