Amazing vid! That accessory definitely seems to be a big help... I played Golf+ many moons ago when I had time to do VR, and it just wasn't feeling right. Having an actual club in hand, or at least a grip in hand, definitely leads to better swing thoughts. Also, I'd be super stoked with a sub-90 on any track I play. 15 Handicaps represent!
Just an FYI. I noticed on the green (Hole 8 specifically) you didn’t seem to be paying attention to the gap in the lines. The bigger the gap in the lines, the shallower the break. If the lines are close, then the break is much faster! Much love!
You can go into the club settings and fine tune each club. It’s very helpful with the slices and not hitting full power. You can also change the club head angle and length of club. Since the quest headsets can’t properly track a full fast swing, it’s great for more accurate shots at a smaller and slower swing. This game is not a real sim and should not be treated as such. It’s not near the same as going in a sim for a club fitting, not even close, so make use of the settings, they really make a difference.
I have worked in a track man bay and my weighted attachment setup is calibrated so that the only difference in ball contact. Over assist in the settings just makes your bad swing path stay bad. Play Pro swing settings and use the trackers to adjust your swing path, then use that with your real swing. You’d be surprised how accurate it actually can be.
I actually use the "dead" or "quiet" wrists in my take away. Similar to Hojgaard, I let the club drop into a shallow/flatter position at the top of my backswing, though I don't take it back as far outside. Letting the club drop into a flatter position also naturally flattens your wrist. Then it's just a matter of rotating through impact. A good drill to get a feel for the shallow position you are looking for is the baseball drill. Super easy to understand and visualize. Stand up straight and make flat swings like you're swinging a baseball bat. You will feel your right bicep connected to your ribs and your right elbow getting in front of your chest. Then just feel like you are dropping into that position when you make your golf swing. It does help to take it back a bit more outside during your backswing as it is easier to drop into a shallow position. Where as taking it back already in a shallow position, you will have more of a tendancy to come up out of it and over the top.
Would you recommend Golf + VR as a decent practice setup - i.e is it good to pratice swing technique (whilst having fun) when the driving range is not an option ?
I think yes as long as you realise it’s not going to be the exact same thing haha like it’s good to get a feeling in your swing for sure but I don’t think it’ll be 100% accurate to real life of
Tell Alex Quest 2 is only 199. 99 now. He needs to get one so we can watch you guys play each other in this game. We can all pitch in 10 bucks lol. Nice round man.
@TheApexHound that's what I play on the 3. It's definitely worth it I believe. Everything is just smoother on the course. Definitely a game changer as far as graphics and things.
@@TheApexHound yea definitely. Bought one without them sending it to me. Absolutely hate it. Also using just the controller doesn't seem to mess with my irl golf game. But I love the game you're playing. By far the best vr golf game out
Man I don't know what Golf+ is paying you but they got the right person because I watched you channel a let you sucker me into spending a stack on this Bull $hit!!!...smh unsubscribing to your channel now!!
appreciate your transparent advertising. Golf is the one VR game I could see myself actually playing.
Yeah man it's really fun tbf, the mini golf one is a blast too
It’s a lot of fun. They have top golf Las Vegas on it too

No joke, I put one on my Amazon list so I can get it once my move is done.
@@ethanmx2 Nice one mate, don't forget to use the code :D
@@TheApexHound What code? 😜 /joke
How would you compare Golf+ VR against like Garmin R10? Is there a actual big difference compared to reality?
I haven’t really got to test a Garmin R10, I’ll have to try it to compare

Great video apex what video of the swing analysis did you watch trying to improve my swing
If you just type in Nicolai Hojgaard swing analysis it should come up
Banger of a video mate!
Cheers lad
is that controller attachment you advertised compatible with rift s controllers?
When you have to drop you can use any spot on the gray highlight, even the little trail behind the bigger area...

love golf in VR, I played hundreds of hours in Walkabout Mini-Golf on my quest 2 and quest 3

😂 u could have just said 200
One thing i can say is this game can mess with your real golf gameplay lol😊
Not for me. I actually learned how to swing using VR.
I thought you were trying to clean your putter face before each putt. Now realizing you are pressing a button lol.
Is it me or are all the swing just half swing though. No ground force’s used but you can still hit a 165+ 7 iron?
I just have a shorter backswing after my injury mate, definitely not half swings though haha
1:40 that's me!
ha didn't even notice that!
Cant wait to see more IRL stuff
🤝
Clubs comes from the states.. ive learnt the hard way not do import goods. Thats unfortunate 😕
I got mine in Ireland and seems okay but guess if you had a bad experience that’s fair enough mate
Is this worth buying a headset to play?
It's pretty much all I play on it haha, so I'd say yeah
So you will take it on a Thursday?
Does this work for left handed players?
Can’t see why not
Love it apex! Also, what’s the name of this game?
Golf Plus / Golf+ mate :)
@@TheApexHound thanks!!
What VR headset are you using?
Quest 2
@@TheApexHoundis it worth getting the 3 you think over the 2?
Ah so cute dogs relaxing in backyard
Haha yeah they were chilling
I already know id break something with it yet i still want it. 😂
Hahaha can always make it smaller when you don’t have as much room
dang. still left that face cam on the left side. if you put it on the right side, we could see the shot trail better when you are setting up!
My bad my bad
Charlotte native playing Quail Hollow on monday let’s see if I can even break 100
Haha good luck!
I'm 6'4" and have my clubs set to 200 %
I'll have to do that then
Tried those attachments for the game and id rather use the controller by itself.
