What is your favorite Caribbean destination?
Aruba is my favorite. But would love to check out some of them Southern Islands
@@Bravoproductionsinc going there for the first time in Dec.
Aruba's two built up
For a cruise or stay? If staying for some time. Have dinner at two bulls and a fool. Can only book online. One of my best dinner ever.
Cuba. It's like going back in time.
That passenger that got assaulted by the crew member is getting ready to get PAAAAAAAID.....Talk about cruising for the rest of your life for free!!
Not a joke.
Why do I find myself automatically joining in with the jazz hands? Please tell me I’m not the only one 👐😆
You are definitely not the only one!!!
We do it as well 🤪🤪🤪
YEY!! Im not the only one!!! 😂😂😂
I though it was just me 😂
O man. Now I feel lazy
I was on the Norwegian encore when this incident occurred. It was so shocking the following morning the captain made it announcement and explained everything that it happened. My heart goes out to those who are affected by this tragic event.
Last time I was this early, Ludacris was still trying to write a bunch of hits and Dr. Pepper was still in med school.
But we still love Ludacris, right?!
@@mikeyinthecity Absolutely!
Shout out to Ludacris 😂😂
Another advantage of sailing out of Puerto Rico is that you get to see Puerto Rico!
We flew in 2 days early. Beautiful place.
Wepa 🇵🇷
I’ll bring plenty of paper towels 😂😂😂😂😂
Our very first cruise in 2004 was out of San Juan Puerto Rico on the Dawn Princess. We didn’t know what we were doing and booked our flight into San Juan on embarkation day. Our flight was delayed, and we just barely made the cruise. At least we booked air travel through cruise line. They pulled up the gangway after we walked onto the ship and we never knew there was such a thing as a “muster drill” until our second cruise. 😂
We flew into San Juan two days early and stayed there and could just walk to the ship from our hotel. We were able to get on the ship before anyone else even arrived at the port. We also traveled farther south than the usual ships go.
Cruising from Paris, cruising from Rome, now Venice, there are many examples where the port isn't near its host city.
Encore Captain just made an announcement about the incident. Someone from corporate met the injured (not life threatening injuries) passenger in Juneau when they disembarked yesterday and will stay with her while she remains in Alaska, according to the captain.
We flew to Puerto Rico from Baltimore in 2012 in order to do a seven day Southern Caribbean itinerary on Princess. It was a direct flight, which took less than four hours.
"Tempted" is one of a few Squeeze songs with Paul Carrack as lead vocalist, released in 1981. Great song.
For a band I love and have seen live twice, dang, I know so little about them!
I was coming to say this was a Squeeze song. One of my faves from the 80s.
"Are they gonna market Ron Jon?" Snort. That was a good one.
Ron Jon in Cocoa Beach ROCKS though and is a bucket-list item for many folks…well it was for me. I want to go back! 😊
Cape Canaveral obviously needs to do some PR to promote the port. But you know, some people would have a hard time pointing to Florida on a map correctly! 😂
@@bettygreenhansen I've spent some serious money there. That's my favorite destination port.
Good grief! That attack is horrible!! Time for him to visit THE BIG HOUSE. I hope the people who were attacked come out of this OK. Terrible.
Did you hear about our medical rescue out at sea yesterday? Ovation of the seas. Saw a helicopter refuel in front of us. Truly amazing, wishing the patient a speedy recovery. We are now arriving into Vancouver late. Not upset at all. Humans first, airplane reservations last: people don’t seem upset thankfully. Thank you to Royal for an amazing decision and great job organizing this medivac then taking care compensating folks for the delay.
Airplane reservations last? Can't agree to that one. There are tons of things I'd rate as less important than people's air reservations.
Is it me or is it just seem like NCL has some of the worst stories ever?
@@bobfilkins1012I think you missed the point here…
We’ve taken about six cruises out of San Juan and we love it. We were disappointed that carnival during the pandemic stopped doing cruises out of San Juan. We like it because of the itineraries. To us the southern Caribbean has the most beautiful islands and that’s why we like to go down there.
I have worked as a psych nurse for many years (now in pediatrics). My family was always worried about me as part of that time I worked in a state hospital psych ICU. I always told them don't worry about me. You should worry about you. I know what my patients are capable of. You on the other hand don't know about the person standing in front of you at the grocery store or the one standing behind you at the movie theater. There are many people we pass throughout our day that may have mental health issues. Look at the videos we see of 'Karens'. Those women are ill. We laugh at those people because of their behaviors but they truly do not seem stable.
Just commented elsewhere that the hiring age range for young men fits with first psychotic break for schizophrenia without past history. So stir in far away from home, stress of crew living, etc, bingo psychotic break!
I agree.
Lol, I am loving the shoutout to Jean Luc Picard! 😆
Probably the reason they refer to Port Canaveral as Orlando is because most of the cruisers arrive at Orlando International then bus to Port Canaveral.
“Shoutout the globe” 🌎 😂
Hello from Scotland! Love your channel, we watch it while eating dinner most nights. Keep up the good work
Thanks! Appreciate you watching.
I don't dare watch your channel while eating--I'm afraid I'll snort my soup out my nose!
@@huskidawgs I had to stop a couple of times on this episode to be fair 🤣
@@LaLidoLoca How does it feel to be a global celebrity, Tony?
We love sailing out of San Juan. Course, the ABC Islands are our favorite. Taking a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in October that ends in San Juan. Will get to go to some Southern islands to the East that we’ve never been to before like St. Lucia. Super excited! Keep up the good work, Tony!
We just did a 19 day transatlantic from San Juan to Lisbon. The first 5 port stops were in the Caribbean. It was a fantastic cruise!
I loved the cruise we went out San Juan. The lower islands are amazing. You do not have the days at sea and you get to enjoy more islands. We went to 6 or 7 islands. I loved the southern caribbean island cruise.
We sailed out of San Juan with Carnival on a Southern itinerary. Absolutely loved it. My husband surprised me with a couple of days in a hotel in San Juan when we returned so we could spend more time there. My only recommendation is to do that first, before your cruise. We were pretty tired from our island-hopping and excursions.
San Juan is our absolute favorite port to sail from. It has the best itineraries. The ship rarely has to steam over 10 knots to get to where you’re going. You can’t get these islands on any regular 7 day sailings from Florida. Spend a few days in Old San Juan and eat the food and drink the drinks. It’s a vibe.
The animal in "Naw-luns" that scared you was a Nutrea. Completely harmless, unless you're an earthen dam or levy.
The danger is that you might hurt yourself getting away from them!
They are now reaching northern rivers and Canada.
One of our favorite cruises ever was from San Juan. even embarkation was amazing. St. Thomas, St Kitts, St Martin, St Lucia, and Barbados. I would do that one over and over again. So, Tony, do it.
Royal Caribbean lost my luggage over a month ago, it is a total nightmare dealing with them. It’s been over 2 dozen calls, and 2 dozen e mails and still have nothing. Ps love your videos
OMG - You are hilarious 😆 This is why I love you… The random rants
I had the opportunity to sell out of San Juan on a royal cruise back in the 90s Barbados Saint Martin Antigua St. Thomas were four of the five islands we went to, and it was an absolute blast
Tony!! We just got off the repositioning cruise to Puerto Rico on Rhapsody! It was a phenomenal itinerary, and we finally made it to Barbados after 31 years of saying we wanted to go. So we cruised out of Port Everglades, left our car at the airport, and when the cruise ended in Puerto Rico, we hung out in Old San Juan and made a new friend. It was awesome.
When we lived in Memphis we LOVED sailing out of New Orleans. Easy drive to the port and fun to cruise up and down the mighty Mississippi. ❤
Tony, whatever you have been drinking today, don't buy one for me LOL 😂😂
The Costa luggage service sounds like it would only work if you fly the same day as boarding - something I would never do.
My wife and I primarily sail out of New Orleans. It also helps that the New Orleans cruise port is just a 10 minute Uber ride from our house.
I agree with you the perks of cruising from PR ❤
I totally understand filling up skip bins when moving house! When we moved from our 4-bedroom house to our condo, we still had boxes of stuff from my hubby’s previous marriage that had never been unpacked into our house, and heaps of stuff from my now adult kids who were now moving out. It took a HUGE amount of time and effort to sort through and get rid of everything we needed to in order to fit into our new place. We did get a storage locker for a few months for those few things we couldn’t sort through in time. But oh boy, what a huge job! I feel for you!! 😳
Hey Tony, I love that you put up content so frequently! I find your show to be really entertaining and informative and your opinions and insights to be spot-on! Thank you for what you do!
The new baggage service by Costa sounds exactly like the old Disney express used to be where you checked your bag at the airport and it magically showed up at your hotel. It was the best thing about that service. It was low cost and worry free.
I remember that! We got off the plane, got on a Disney bus, and were whisked away to our Beach Club Villas suite where our luggage was in our rooms. Our luggage (for 6 people, two adults, 4 kids, 3 girls, 1 boy) was even in the right rooms, which was scary. How did they know which went where?)
Disney Cruise Line still does that if you stay at the Hyatt MCO. You'll leave your bags in the hotel room, and you'll next see them outside your stateroom aboard the ship.
@LaLidoLoca Good to see your Jazz hands back! Husband and I were talking about it last week that for a few days you didn't do the Jazz hands, and it just tickles our fancy! You are the BEST!!
Us too! We have been decluttering, cleaning out the house and garage for over a week and we have a huge dumpster in our driveway! Exhausting 😅 We are in Florida too!
We sailed on the Carnival Fascination out of PR on a 7 night cruise back in 2016. 5 islands out of 6 full days. Best cruise we've done to date!!
Thank you for all your ZANNY ANTICS during your show. Always entertaining and funny. Two thumbs up 👍 👍.
Great show brother
One of our favorite ports to sail from is PR. It's a great place to visit before your cruise and you get to cruise to different islands.
Bill
I LOVED the few days I spent in PR before visiting the beautiful Southern Caribbean! Would definitely sail out of PR again!
I love getting my cruise news from this channel. So much fun just watching. I wish I could afford a cruise right now - but I'm saving up!
Our first cruise out of San Juan 1996. Cruised several times from San Juan since then. Great way to start a cruise already on a tropical island.
Intineraries from PR are so fun! Plus you can explore PR! We had an amazing itinerary from there in 2019.
I’m on the Encore right now. The captain made a shipwide announcement this morning about the attack. This is the 2nd time I’ve been on the Encore where the ship made the news. I was on when the gangway collapsed in Panama.
Wow and wow
Just switched from a 4 night solo on Enchantment to Cozumel in Dec to the Utopia 4 night solo in Dec. Great prices now and really excited to be on a new ship! I love these itineraries for Utopia.
We cruised out of San Juan and was able to visit a new island every day without any sea days. So much better
We stayed in San Juan for 2 days before cruise, highly recommend.
We had a sea day but that included Caracas! And Trinidad. And Martinique
I get too tired with 3-5 port days in a row. I need sea days to rest between
@@solvend now, me too! But, I remember when I thought sea days were a waste of time. Of course there were no lectures or trivia or…or….or…
@@solvend did you know that you simply can stay on the ship when it visits the port(s) ?
My older soon moved out and I've been going though his office and twenty years of layers of growing up. It's like an archeological dig. I realize that one reason I'm a hoarder is because I don't want to look backward, just move forward. Good luck with your dumpster. Part of the problem is that I once just completely trashed a storage compartment and now I realize that I've lost somethings that can never be replaced.
Yea we are looking through everything as we go. Slow process.
@@LaLidoLoca Have you found those 36-inch-waist pants yet from the early 90s?
We cruised out of San Juan on Vision of the Seas. We did get to visit some of the less visited ports. Great trip.
I have cruised the ABC islands from PR last year and it was amazing! I would love to see more of those types of cruise offerings. 😍
I'm doing that sailing on Rhapsody out of San Juan for the exact reasons you mentioned, port intensive beautiful destinations!
13:15 Tony lasted about 30+ seconds before that Right Hand/Arm went up in the air! Lol! Tony, you need to make this your trade mark intro or something.😂😂😂
This October we are doing our first cruise not starting in Florida but out of San Juan.
I love sailing from San Juan. The islands you can sail to are my favorite.
Sailed out of Puerto Rico several years ago and enjoyed several of the southern islands. I thought transport from airport to our hotel was very slick and easy. I’d recommend to anyone considering it.
i sailed out of PR on the fascination and LOVED it! Got to visit Barbados, St Lucia, St. Thomas, St Maarten, St Kitts! I'm from Canada btw, so have to fly to all ports.
Never thought about sailing out of PR before, that's very intriguing!
So, soo many amazing islands you can explore out of San Juan. This will be my 2nd time out of Puerto Rico. The intineraries are so varied.
Love going out of Puerto Rico my first cruise was out of there in 1979 and loved Barbados, st Thomas, Martinique, St Lucia, I am booked next Jan. On a 14 day cruise to get back to some of these ports.
I highly recommend cruising out of Puerto Rico. I have done it twice and both times went to some beautiful unspoiled islands. They are my favorite!
Whoa! Our first (and only so far) cruise was on the NCL Encore. Glad the situation is being taken care of. I hope the passenger and security staff member are okay!
Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places.
My favorite port is St. Thomas. I've sailed from The Big Easy... loved it
I’m so glad you were able to release the stress with your little outburst about the garage 😜
Got a two-fer on this one. Second cruise ever on a cruise out of San Juan (Carnival Conquest) back around 2014 I think. Our luggage was lost during our layover in JFK, so we were down at the airport trying to figure it out. Meanwhile, my dad had been building up to quit smoking, so this was day 1 for him - you can imagine how we were all just staying out of his way :). Good news was that trip insurance helped us get some stuff to get us through, and we'd gone down a day early so our luggage was eventually found and delivered on the next flight, so we did have our luggage for the cruise. Ended up being a great cruise!
San Juan is perfect for cruising! I’ve done it twice 2016 and last year. Can’t wait til next time.
“Tempted” is my favorite Ludacris song!
Oh my goodness the world is getting crazier!! Thoughts to the passenger, family and crew caught up in that horrible scenario
If you are from MN and you only have a week and want to go to more exotic ports and you can stay in PR overnight the night before, and you can do the ABC islands! And the Golden Eagle Passport is good at the fort in San Juan, and having a beach day in San Juan with the ladies selling empanadas on the beach is absolutely fantastic.
Our first cruise was out of Puerto Rico. Great cruise and was able to go to St Lucia, Antigua, and Barbados. We were not fans of the airport in San Juan though. We will get to Aruba and Curacao for the first time on a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale in 2026 but there are 2 sea days each way to get that far south.
Love ❤️ the Ron Jon Cocoa Beach 🏖️ reference
I did just that a few years ago.. I fly to San Juan to go on a Carnival cruise I forget the ship..
We flew from Texas to PR and really loved the itinerary!
We cruised out of San Juan twice now. I love the ABC islands and other southern islands. I’m watching for another cruise in the area for next January or February.
We flew to San Juan PR twice ..when you are in the air anyway from the majority of North America, it's not really much farther.
Loved the ending!
My mom and I will be on Utopia in November. Looking forward to it. Love your videos Tony.
Thanks for the cruise news and your views
my first cruise was out of San Juan. It was my best cruise ever.
Thanks Tony.
Great show Tony.
Great video ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the information. Take care.🛳️😎⚓️
Thanks for all the updates, Tony.
Have a great dand hope you get done moving soon.
I had my luggage lost on a cruise ship once. It was debarkation and our suitcases were nowhere to be found. And then there were more and more of us. And then there was no luggage left, but Port Everglades staff kept telling us, basically, that it was our fault/we needed to look harder. Finally, there was a critical mass and they agreed to contact the ship. Eventually, the ship went "Oh! You're right! We forgot some!" and then, in time, they wheeled off a whole container full of suitcases that they'd forgotten. That was stressful - and our luggage would have spent another week on the ship if we hadn't forced the port to contact them.
On top of everything as usual Tony be safe and cruise on!
Cape Canaveral to Orlando to Disney… “…it’s a small world after all…” - shout out Ludacris 😊
I learnt a long time ago that before a move, you clear out. Partly because you should get rid of stuff you haven't seen/used for over 3 years anyway, but so that you have a lot less to actually move 🙂
Yes to have cruised from San Juan for 8-night S Caribbean (5 ports: St Kitts, St Lucia, ABC). Would love one of Rhapsody’s or other sailings, especially with St Croix (to have seen all the USVI). … Congrats on being able to declutter.
Cruising from San Juan for the first time next January- 6 amazing ports with 0 sea days? Sounds exhausting but fabulous!
Sailing out of San Juan is my favorite way to get to more islands in a 7 nights cruise.
So entertaining!
Cruised out of San Juan 30 years ago for my honeymoon it was great! :)
San Juan is fantastic, and several mainland cities have direct flights. I wish the cruise ships could offer a ferry service there. It would be fun to have a couple of days at sea and then as much time as you want to explore PR.
PR is our favorite place to cruise from. We started cruising from PR in 2017 for our anniversary, and it became a yearly thing.
Love the 2 dogs one cone clip. Keep up the Great work Bro!!
Oh wow…. Just wow!
Just want to say again that I love your videos. Keep up the awesome work.
