      It really turned out amazing and just highlights how great of a car these are and the effort Toyota put into them!

    The quality of this video was top notch and honestly something I'd expect to see in a channel with over 100k subs.
    No idea why TH-cam never reccomended this channel to me as I love detailing and love GR Yaris, I got lucky and found it when scrolling ages down after I searched GR Yaris

    Roof is superbly done. But! Rear vents painted look awesome and never seen it finished like this!

      @smoothasbrothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the boys only produce the best work and that was the goal with the roof for the flattest finish possible given how wavy the roof was from factory.
      That was the idea with the rear bar something different that no one has done yet and looking like an OEM finish. Ekano racing have done something similar to theirs but still slightly different.

    Wow. Amazing work guys. The roof looks so nice. Well done!
    Would consider driving down from Brissy to get it done…

    Fantastic what those guys did to that roof. I've just acquired a GR Yaris and I'm sifting through many ideas and mods. Incidentally, mine is a white one also, so my roof is a must at some point. Cheers from the UK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇬🇧

    Another great video boys! I'm sure I not alone in wondering what the final cost was (for someone driving in off the street). 30 hours of work sounds like it could be a little pricey? I'm not saying its not worth it but, If I was considering this route, I'd want it done properly or not at all.

      Someone off the street for the roof and bar work exactly like this would be floating around the $3500 area

    Nice one guys! I have been looking into doing this myself, but havent found any info on the roof-mouldings yet, but this was good info. I know there is a clip at the front - Could you re-use the roof mouldings, or did you have to order new ones?

    • @smoothasbrothers
      @smoothasbrothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Mate!
      Yeah so remove the moulds starting from the rear as there’s no clip there just tape and as you get to the front you’ll move up and slide forward towards the car to release clip.
      You can re-use the original moulds but you’ll have to spend a good hour to remove old tape and re-tape and the problem is unless you remove the moulds without bending even slightly + installing you’ll eventually have moulds that are wavy and start lifting over time.
      Have seen numerous of moulds that have been Re used and go wavy over time.
      I got new roof mould from Toyota for $155 AUD. Relatively cheap considering

    • @Doggepp
      @Doggepp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@smoothasbrothers Okay! Yeah definitely sounds like new mould's are the way to go - Another question if you dont mind. How do you go about removing the antenna, just pop out the inner-roof from the trunk, and pop the antenna out?
      Since I am most likely putting PPF on, I need it removed

    • @smoothasbrothers
      @smoothasbrothers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Doggepp we didn’t remove the antenna our selves we had the boys do it when they prepped it all but from what they told us, there’s 3 clips at back of roof lining they are removed followed by the C pillar plastics need to be popped out, this will give you enough room to get your hand in without creasing the roof lining to remove the 10mm bolt that holds the antenna in.
