Hey I really liked the video! If I had one suggestion to make, it would be to use manual exposure controls on your recording camera. It would prevent all those absolutely blown out shots :)
Thanks for the feedback. Very true. The weather was all over the place that day so I decided auto would be easiest. But you are correct, manual is always better. Outsmarting the computers, haha!
PPF was Xpel Ultimate from ebay. It will probably come from US so be careful of import charges. Tack bottle was water with 10% alcohol. There's lots of varying info online but that's what worked for me. 🤷♂️
@@jackamundo1 can't remember. Just make sure you have at least 6 inches or 1 foot of excess all around. If you have too much, you can use it on the rear arches as that's a hot spot. The excess is good to tack down temporarily and if you don't get it perfectly square first time.
Roof looks good. Think I will keep mine with the standard wrap though, the forged carbon effect looks a bit too much like a granite kitchen worktop for my taste.
It's by far the most aggressive and competitive form of motorsport at the national level, as I was competing. Every core skill and physical aspect is best learnt in a kart.

Thanks for making this video. Great guide for others wanting to remove the vinyl roof thing, as the car is meant to be from factory.
Thanks a lot. Yes there are lots of other videos but none seemed to talk about the aerial, seals or ppf process so I wanted to do that.
Great job on the roof.
Where did you buy the ppf? Also what was in the tack bottle 😊 but good job mate 🙌🏻😊

@@WillEgby ah ok cool. What size did you buy? Don’t wanna buy too much or too little 😂

Love the GR Yaris nice understated hot hatch
Same! Mine isn't so understated now but they sure can be.
What adhesive remover did you use?
I tried a bit of sticky stuff remover which was okay and then wurth brake cleaner was best.
@@WillEgby Thank you! 👍
Thank you for this video. :)
Didn't even know it was a wrap from factory. But that forced carbon looks really good on the gr.
Yes, I'm really pleased with the results.
could you make a video about how you clean your GR yaris properly?
I sure can.
Nice job there. Still undecided on getting a giacuzzo spoiler, looks great from some angles but a bit stuck on from others..
I agree but I think it's the best option around. It looks aggressive but still sleek and well integrated into the cars design.
Thanks.
Great job 👍
Exceptionally thorough job and video, shame the roof still has so much orange peel!
roof looks good but still fixing the harness to the cusco strut bar, please fix it before it is too late !!!
It's all sorted, don't worry. You will have to wait to see it though...
Was there a point at which you thought "Why did I start this?"
Ohh yes. The video doesn't show it as much but the corners took longer to sort out that the rest of the ppf. It was an education though.
Personally I don’t like the actual carbon finish think it looks like a 1980’s kitchen worktop. Lot of work for very little gain but each to there own.
Lamborghini sells this as forged carbon 😂
Looks nice but you'll loose the 10 year warranty..

Haha
Seriously that harness setup is a deathtrap if you have a stack.
Explain please - without that your comment is a threat?
It's been addressed, the video just isn't up yet.
Imagine racing go carts at your age 💀
Nothing wrong with Karting, it is great fun, relatively low cost (for motorsport) and is great practice for many aspects of driving cars.

What do you race?
