Just came across this video of yours as i finally snooping into some light upgrades to mine. Nice video mate, informative. Your detail illustration confirmed my decision to put my budget elsewhere as i m all for function orientated, and frankly the information online doesnt shoe where individual plate goes. Judging on the plate to the air inlet, i am not sure if guiding the air flow further up towards the bonnet would help. May be it does so by pushing the hot air trapped on top through the back of the engine and escaping under... Or not having it at all allowing cool air flow directly to the front of the engine, somehow through turbulence, escape underneath. I dont know, and as such i remain skeptical and will invest over other dept 🙏🏻 cheers.
Happy New Year from Germany, the best instruction videos for GR Yaris parts are coming from you. Can I order this cooling panel to Germany. The red colour is this the same as the red colour of the OEM engine cover? Best regards Holger
Hey Happy New Year to you too. Thanks for watching my videos! They will accent the oem cover nicely..You may be able to order from here: www.rhdjapan.com/tanabe-gt-cooling-plate-duct-set-gr-yaris-gxpa16-mxpa12.html . This is not where I got mine but I think they ship everywhere.
Bad luck for me today. I'm just before to order the eventuri intake and I have seen the video of Franz Gaw. The cooling panel is not compatible with the eventuri intake🤨 Drive open like the Blitz Intake is not legal in Germany.
The front 2 clips hole of the big piece cooling plate may be wrongly placed, I was told two will be on top of the bumper top piece while another two will be at the bottom of bumper top piece. User manual will clarify on this piece of information.
Ooh your our man in Japan! Toyota said theyre selling the new Grmn parts to customers in Japan, I guess well see some of that too? I hope they sell the Grmn parts elsewhere, the seats (recaro PP with Airbags) and the rear bracing Look very interesting.
@@razzjp I do too, I dont have the brace though. Im still in the market for seats, the recaro cs from the final year gt86 is supposed to fit, another option for me would be the recaro pole positions too. You have am advantage as the Asia spec recaro are readily available, im looking into swapping the CS from some Euro cars (CS Was a popular oem option) or a PP, just dont like the idea of no side Airbags.. Didnt brother me before, now it does 😔
I do have to admit the new brace is nice. I'm content with the carbon fiber bar in there now, but I change my mind daily, so I guess I should not say you won't see any of those parts. I have a impulse buying sickness. Hope uou get the seat your looking for. It took about a week when I ordered mine. Airbags not a concern for me.
Idk why but i thought this was a complete solution to replace all cooling units🤷 But if you don't think you'll get any benefits of it, why did you buy it? Just curious
I think it looks cool, lol and if there is any positive effect, that is just a bonus. It is kinda like the carbon HKS engine cover. Mostly just for appearance.
@@razzjp Today i got the panel. The Material is steel, not aluminium. And the Aluminium washer for the 6mm Screw of the Inlet has an diameter 8,5 mms. (20X10X8,5mm) Must be 6,3mm diameter. At the side panels it's better to put after the install the wind and dirt absorbers in again. They are funktional
I can't see the benefit. Max -4°C engine bay temperatur? The problem of the engine bay temperatur or turbo temperature isn't that there isn't enough air getting into it, but the warm air doesn't get out. An front hood air duct should be much more efficient than this solution. It's all about aerodynamics, the air must flow in and out without turbulence. But that is my personal opinion.
Why would you put a big ass steel plate there ? Problematic friend and it goes against the home garage engineer in me . Plastic , yes . Carbon fibre , Excellent . That red steel plate makes you a ricer boy .
Then ricer boy I am! The plate is very light aluminum, not steel and supposedly has a -4 degree cooling effect. Other than looking cool, to me, it does have a purpose. Luckily we can all make choices of how we build our cars.
@@razzjp yes and I’m just as opinionated about cars with my friends and family members and I love them so ricer boy or not you have a wonderful car and it’s way better then my car .

Did you notice any cooling effect from this plate?

Wow Germany is srtict if you can't have open type air cleaner. Too bad the cooling panel won't fit. It is a nice piece.

What are the things at the back supposed to do, besides be red? Stop air escaping?
I think I'll go with the, be red, answer, lol. Not 100% but would say for hot air to flow out.
@@razzjp the 2 side plates are only for decoration according the manufacturer! For the record, I bought them from Easy Cars Japan. Great service.

Unfortunately you won't see any of those parts on my car. They will be so overpriced. Already have a Recaro and rear seat delete.

Is the material of the parts Aluminium or Steel?
It is made of aluminum
