    You are the best. My belt just came off. I put it back on and it worked. It was so easy. Thank you very much. I was on my way to Walmart to buy a new vacuum and thought I would this before going.

    My vacuum sucked up a string and broke the belt exactly as you described. I got the replacement belts at Wal Mart this morning and fixed it up good as new after watching your video! Thanks!

      @@paulhernandez8697 I got the Great Value 2 pack and it says it's for styles 7, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16. My vacuum is working great.

    This was excellent, thank you! I first watched another video which didn't show how to get the brush back on with the new belt, which was my issue. Yours did. Was very easy as soon as I watched your video - thanks!

    Thanks for the information. We have two Bissell vacuums, but different colors and product types. However, on the bright side, parts are interchangeable as far as the bottom goes. The newest one had a burning belt smell. Turns out the belt was wearing onto the brush where the belt goes. So I just switched the belts and the brushes out. The moral of my situation to anyone reading this, do not throw away the oldest vacuum.

    Absolutely awesome! Couldn't have done it without you. My main problem was...I had removed the air filter to wash it when I awaited the belt...then I kept trying to put it inside with the belt assembly...finally dawned on me! The filter goes through the tank part. LOL

    Is there anything on the shaft? Mine is bare metal

  • @byroncook158

    Is there a piece on the shaft from the motor....mine doesn't spin and the wife thinks I probably lost a piece. I tried flipping the belt but it started burning

    What was the size of the belt? I have the same vacuum cleaner

    Well, the Sheet-rock dust is probably going to kill the motor, you might get a small shop vac if you have more remodeling to do since they have motors meant to accept things like that, thanks for the belt change video👍🏻🙂

    Awesome! Seems like an easy fix. My belt broke also so I’m wondering if that’s the reason it doesn’t suck anything up? I’ve cleaned the filter and that didn’t help either

      Could be your issue, but it could also be clogged as well

    My belt keeps disconnecting and I keep having to reconnect it. Know why it keeps slipping?

    • @chriscraft2
      @chriscraft2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you might need a new vacuum., it has a self centering place the belt rides on .. or either your belt is too loose

    Nice. Take that filter out at the top and bang it out while you're at it. Thought that was my problem at first.

    I replaced the belt on my Bissell vacuum. However, the belt keeps coming off the shaft after a few uses and I have to re-set it. Do you have any idea why this happens?
