    Great opportunity at those cars on the second rep to back pedal bro.

    Looked like a hard session, and recording it at the same time in traffic. Hat’s off to you for this video. Hopefully viewers appreciate how hard it is. That is why I like doing intervals on the trainer. LOL.

    I've been using TR for a couple of years and have progressed very well. Their adaptive training works well, but now instead of paying for their coaching I want to try it for myself. How do you plan your workout each week and how would you progress workout intensity from week to week? cheers.

    Loving the videos Jesse. Have to comment that your inhaler technique isn’t the best though and you’ll get a lot more out of it by spacing your hits and timing deeper breathes in when you hit the inhaler. Best of luck this season.

    I wanted to buy a new head unit. I can buy the new wahoo elemnt bolt or the garmin 530 edge (with the bundle pack). Since both the product almost cost the same, which should I go for? Also, the wahoo one comes with only the head unit and not the sensors.

    Hi Jesse, I got a question about racing/training. When I race on Zwift I can hold on to the end sprint, but my legs absolutely feel painful to the point I drop a lot of watts on my sprint effort. Do you have any tips on how to manage lactate / train for this problem? Anyway I really enjoy your videos :)

    • @nicolaskirkland7095
      @nicolaskirkland7095 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nerocoaching Is it 5x3 due to the length of the climb (3 minute climb)? I've been doing 3x5min @~115% of FTP, 5 min recovery for VO2 sessions -- I assume that will load my VO2 effectively?

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicolaskirkland7095 5x3 because I want do efforts above the w/kg I need to make it up the climb for the race. Will extend duration of the efforts in the coming weeks. 5 min reps are fine but you should be doing more than 3 of them for a proper stimulus.

    Sydney drivers must be more forgiving. Where I am, If I’d gone between that truck trying to come round the corner and then around that car on the right hand side only to turn left in front of them, I’d of been chased down and run over.

    how many weeks before a race would you start doing VO2 efforts?

    • @durianriders
      @durianriders 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      as soon as possible so your body can get used to the demands of racing.

    • @jacobheiden5571
      @jacobheiden5571 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@durianriders I just wonder how effective it is to start doing it early. To me it seems like it would be more wise to focus on improving threshold early in the season and then get into the more race specific work later (let's say 6-8 weeks out).
      But then again, 5x3min at ~130%, once a week, is not going to make me overtrain, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to start earlier..?
