Brad, you are my favourite on this channel. Your consideration of client, space, functionality and as you say, removing your own architectural ego, is an outstanding credit to you. Bravo.
OMG! Perfect! When Brad Swatz is involved you just know the project is going to be special! And there are so many 'Brad' signatures to be seen! Sliding doors, the pallet and the sense of calm and quality. Brad if you are reading this you are without doubt one of the most influential and forward-thinking Architect of this century. Amazing! Thank you.
Brad Swarz is my hero! I can not even describe in words how much I love his work and style. The moment I will get rich, the first thing I'm gonna spend money on is letting him design my home.
I've got kind of surreal impressions about this place. Because the interior is somehow giving scandinavian vibes. And the outside views are giving strong impression of a tropical location. Feels like scandinavia in tropics.
Yeah, the title is sooo misleading. It's clearly not a tiny apartment, at least from my perspective living in NYC, in a very similarly-sized space. I think that concrete columns and ceilings, which tend to work well in industrial loft spaces, work so well in this moderately-sized apartment, because the ceiling height is high enough to make it work. Had it been this standard 8 foot-tall ceiling of the 1960s buildings, it would've failed. Plus, these big windows and open water views create so much light that the ceilings don't dominate and darken the space.
@@lauraoshea1701 actually, i wouldn't even call it small. That open living-dining room area and kitchen are spacious. I get how this apartment doesn't accommodate a family with 2 kids, but for a couple, it's more than enough space.
Interesting project. It would be usefull to see some plans (before and after) to take a look how space has been transformed. Maybe my next proposal is a bit more difficult to come true, would be to have an estimate of construction cost, we all know that "The Local Project" projects are top quality but I think would be somehow interesting to bring the economic topic into the video. PS: Does anyone know where are those light switches from?
This was next level swag, interviewee was also cool with it. The apartment is really a whole philosophy, I wonder what emotions one might have living there.
exactly! this was the comment i was looking for. More of an industrial/scandinavian mix. There is 0 japanese influence! oh apart from the pottery on the table
I like it. Why do I not like it so very, very much? Well, it is not the realized use of space or materials left out or utilized. The styling is something I am shooting for in our home. But I couldn't focus on that because of the loud interrupted music. I realize I am approaching the elderly stage. That may well be the problem. I simply can't hear the human voice when it is out of pitch with the music. Both the volume of the music and the voice being the same irritated me. I had to turn off the sound and turn on the captions in order to view the beauty of the apartment. He is a good-looking man and has a pleasant voice. The music though was too loud and competed with what he was speaking. Ah, well, each to his own I suppose.
Omg. My apartment is roughly the same size - want to do my place? I don't have a view like that though 😂 There's only so much I can do with furniture selection but the customizations here are incredible.
It's a beautiful place with nice aesthetic, but it's more Japandi than Wabi Sabi. The only imperfectness you celebrate in that apartment is the concrete slab

I like when a smaller apartments are featured, hope to see more in the future
Keep the videos featuring “smaller” spaces coming please. They’re more relatable and relevant to most people.. they are to me anyways. 🙌

haha, okay Brads Mum.
The combination of the industrial concrete & wood finish provides such a nice texture contrast. Amazing production as always! ♥
One of my favorite homes from this channel. Reminds me of Never Too Small!
Floor to ceiling timber cabinetry is always so gorgeous. Love the philosophy around the project, what a gem.
Brad Swartz as usual is fantastically talented!
Love how they've integrated the bed in the wall here, very smooth
It’s a Murphy bed done properly!
Usually they’re just haphazardly thrown up but not in this case!
Simply spectacular, apartment and landscape! Thanks for share with us this gorgeous video

Wow... dream property. Great job!
Excellent concrete appreciation right there, accompanied by a nice smooth track. Sublime.
Agreed!
brad Swartz looks so badass! love it - another great property and so cool to hear more of the backstory
I would’ve loved to see a nighttime view!
I believe those are Kef speakers in the ceiling - what’s the mounting solution?
This apartment is so beautiful…and that view ❤
Now this is something amazing

Timber and Concrete is always a good combination
The apartment is a whole vibe.🔥
Gorgeous.
I love all these videos. My dreams come true would be this apt.
looks great, but how is the noise travel between the apartment above when there's no ceiling like that?
Better hope for a silent neighbour...
So good!
Love the joinery and sliding door. Wonder who is the amazing joiner behind this.

I was looking for this comment (the first part). Write "small", not "tiny"🙄

I’ve been in these apartments. They’re 100 M2. They’re a decent size
I like the house and the simlicity of the material. Just wishes if the music in the background was lower a bit.
Beautiful!
Australia is one of the most beautiful country in the world
Can anyone tell me what couch is in the living room??? please and thank you
Phenomenal!
so gorgeous

J'adore
VERY VERY NICE !
That decadent abundance of wood makes me swoon !
Nice... Missing piece is only not having floor plan.. 😢

Sweet Focal Utopia headphones driven by a Naim Uniti Atom. Listening room indeed!
great architect
Great great space ❤
Lovely
But is Not small i love it❤
Is your magazines available?
Any chance of a link to the music ? Xxx
Well what you didn't do was awesome.
The music is a bit annoying on this one :(
This is not wabi sabi at all, quite the opposite.

This channel, great as it is, sometimes has a problem with the music volume in its videos.
很漂亮

Tiny? 80sqm?? Y’all out of your mind
didnt really show much of the house
Omg. My apartment is roughly the same size - want to do my place? I don't have a view like that though 😂 There's only so much I can do with furniture selection but the customizations here are incredible.

this is not wab sabi, this is japandi
Love the design but this is definitely not tiny apartment
appartmetns sowie beim Hofer
Please, don't say "tiny" in the title of a video featuring an apartment this big.
Who you calling tiny??? My apartment in New York is about this size 😅😂
Gorgeous but this has absolutely no connection to wabi-sabi.
Is this a joke?... did you actually call this place tiny?!?
This kabbalah apartment is asbestos ridden
Gorgeous!
😍😍😍
