For the people still saying they ripped off Smash Bros., it's called a genre, you can't own a genre, it's just like all those FPS games, all of them took from Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. Imagine if Chuck Berry patented Rock and Roll? We wouldn't have Elvis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Queen, Deep Purple...
Then again for most of the early fps genre they were also called doom clones, and early fighting games were called fake street fighter 2 (that has its own story), you can’t own a genre but if this genre isn’t wide and commonly used it’s either inspired or in some cases like nick all stars a bit of a rip off Main difference is if it has something unique to it or a different feel from the original

I actually like Multiversus because it's another Smash-inspired game (tho others call it Smash clone which I also agree) for another variety but seeing their roster just straight up copied the animations for the common movesets from SSBU's roster instead of adding uniqueness to it turns me off.
Nintendo doesn't own moves. That's like saying Wolfenstein 3D owns the ability for characters to shoot guns or Mortal Kombat owning the ability for hidden characters
@@PeruvianPotato of course, shooting is common, who wouldn't shoot when using guns? Secret characters being "copied" isn't intentional. Dumb sarcasm isn't necessary. Did you read well what I said? SSBU base the movements of their rosters from their original games so some are faithfully from third party characters' respective games so it's not saying Nintendo owns their moves. Meanwhile, if you're referring the original ones belonging from Nintendo's, they have their styles that are actually common which are acceptable (like Jake's stretchy arm similar to Min Min's springed arm in action, shield bashing of Hero and Wonder Woman, Superman's jabbing, projectiles or guided missiles of others, and etc.) yet some are kinda out of character because they didn't have their own style like food picking, spinning sword thrusts, empowered ground kick and others-they could've just differentiated the animations slightly instead of being a carbon copy.

For me, all of these moves seem way more readable, creative, and representative of the character. Like with the Nick game, a lot of the moves between characters were so homogenous that it made me question if a Nick themed platform fighter was a good idea in the first place. Based on what I've seen, it looks like Multiversus is slower/much slower than Smash Bros. Both in terms of animation/attack speed and actual movement. I mean, one could say Multiversus is a much more casual and less intense version of Smash Bros. (though that's like calling Minecraft a 3D Terraria. Both games share a similar core/core gameplay, but are wildly different)
Cartoon and anime, well I prefer the latter. Where does all the budget goes? Every hit landed in Multiverse basically looks and feels the same while in Smash Bros there are different visual effects and different duration of recovery.
This game doesn't look to resource intensive but I don't know the minimum specs. At least it's free to play I heard so you won't have to buy a game you can't actually play like I made the mistake of doing.

Series: Smash bros
More powerful characters: Smash bros. Why? Mario (He's a star child and can go super saiyan with a invincible leaf), luigi (same as mario), dk (same as mario), wario (same as mario), yoshi (same as mario), kirby (don't start), captain falcon (you already know why), fox (can move at light speed and fly), falco (same as fox), mewtwo (you already know), Kazuya (can reflect energy attacks with only a kick), and sonic (can go super saiyan).
Winner: Smash bros
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is my favorite.
Finn's speed boost is a copy to shulk speed monado and hero Accel spell
Shame I don't have anything that can play the game. Looks fun. I mean, maybe my laptop can, but I'm not sure I should risk that.
Specs?
@@odishikaprime6900 If you think I know the first thing about computers, then you definitely misread me.
It's likely not that hard on your hardware, figthing games aren't that heavy to begin with.
This game doesn't look to resource intensive but I don't know the minimum specs.
At least it's free to play I heard so you won't have to buy a game you can't actually play like I made the mistake of doing.

Super smash bros ultimate will be always better
I see The Iron Giant. Cool!
Smash is definitely better
Yeah also if multivurses adds emmet and there’s a story mode like subspace emissary or world of light and emmet survives then I’ll play
@@LuisSanchez-by7mh ofc, but multiversus just feels more fun to me, idk why
They even copied the training stage
Almost every fighting game nowadays has a training stage like that.

your name gave me a stroke ... not complaining tho , like it
Yea but multiversus training stage is kind welp small like what kind small training stage is this seems look smaller stripes line I even seen 🤷
3:14 looks more like corrin's dash attack
Smash Bros Has Everything
6:06 You should've used Sheik's up special for that comparsion
The smoke bomb could be compared to pirana plants toxic cloud, although it doesn't hurt others
What's the point of the smoke if it doesn't do anything
@@TheMkbat it hides the player and the attack moves i presume
Can we get this game for the Switch?
Fun fact: you time travel every second
_"In Africa, every 60 seconds is 1 minute"_
Might as well say that
Even Jake the dog's movesets was a copy from Kirby.
Definitely looking forward to this game nice to see another game in the platform fighter genre. I know this one will be highly successful.
In every side for smash and multiversus.
Mario and Shaggy got smashed..
I mean it’s blatantly obvious that is a smash bros copy, but it don’t seem too bad
Until it comes on switch I’ll have a fair opinion but smash is always better
If Nintendo were the cloner, it would be so much hate.
Yeah lmao
But smash bros existed in 1999
I'm mad they didn't put Ben 10 in Multiverse but they have Steven Universe
they are gonna put him in
Most of those moves that the characters have in multiversus are references from their shows so it’s technically not a copy of smash
I can already hear everyone saying "yo, that's just like in smash" after every move when playing the game lmao
the thing is
alot of these attacks just fit for the character (like harley with the mallet i mean hello?! )
also there were DOZEN of attacks not shown and were unique to Multi Versus (like bugs bunny his digging gimmick )
@@Caysari I know and I didn't meant this in a bad way. It's just that it's a smash inspired game which (like in Nick all star brawl) inevitably leads to said thing
any reference is knowledge, nor is it a copy 👍
No offense but, i think multiversus has one that made the game less enjoyable than smash.
When a move lands, they sound so.....unsatisfying because they lack any sound effect for example, falcon's knee. Why do people play falcon so much? Yeah because he's moves felt so good to land with it's explosive and strong sound effect.
Atleast that's what i thought
Multiversus is just an alpha, give it some time.
It's still in alpha test so maybe they'll listen to the complaints from the public and fix certain things
Its literally just an alpha you can't compare an alpha to a already done and polished game.
@@imissmyipad190 Sure we can. So long as it's constructive criticism and comparison so they can take the feedback to improve the game from alpha.
