What's the opposite of click bait. Lol. Footage of a bear running near the tent you're going to sleep in and the title is 'camping with my dog'. 😂.
Click repellent?
Great video though 😊
Lmaooo I’m open to new title suggestions 🤍
Nooooo.. Perfect title 💕🐕💕
Haha she seems so down to earth, she wouldn’t care about “click bait”. At the same time though, she definitely needs and deserves some 💰
@@MadisonClysdalee Nah, it's refreshing to see. Love the channel!
@@MadisonClysdaleeits fine, just funny that it seemed like you were referring to the bear as your dog 😂
This channel is so real. Nothing crazy and overdone or fabricated like most of the camping, hiking, overlanding, etc channels have become. PLEASE don’t change what you’re doing. Watching someone else, especially younger, go through the trials and learning curves is so real. This is content that some of us have been searching for.
Except the fact that her health care is affordable...it's freaking free in Canada!!!!
@@pkay610Agreed! My mother was told to wait 18 months to treat her thyroid condition. She came to USA and got it done the next week. Sure, it was more expensive but her urgent problem was treated much faster in USA
@lydia-373 get it right : your friends had to wait because they couldn't afford the cost of a certain medical procedure (sound familiar ?). If they had the money they would have had the option of going to a private clinic in Canada or the United States.😮😮😮
@lydia-373 the poor in the U.S. simply don't get the medical care they need, PERIOD !!! TELL THAT TO IDIOT TRUMP AND THE OTHER COMPASSIONATE (WEALTHY) REPUBLICANS.😮😮😮
@lydia-373 your 'put-down' retort still does not do a damn thing for the poor in the U.S. , does it ? Have a nice and very immediate day at your very private clinic while the American poor HAVE NO OPTIONS !?!
That dog is living THE LIFE
I swear, fear of animals, ESPECIALLY bears, is my biggest fear while out camping alone. I got a truck camper a few years ago. LOVE it. If I got to my camping locating and it was dark or raining, I didn't have to worry about putting up a tent. I could just jump into the back of my truck. Plus I felt more secure.
Don't fear any kind of vehicle camping. Best way to go. Especially in grizzly country. There have been times when camping, had I been in a tent, I wouldn't be typing this !!! LOL Black bears...not so much...sometimes their reactions to humans are funny...They look at ya..'like what do u want, human ?' and proceed with what they were doing when they spotted you 😁
If you're really loud you'll usually never see any animals. I try to be loud and even give a few yells out when in the woods to let animals know another predator they're not used to is approaching. I've never even seen a bear in the woods and have been in the woods a ton of times. Didn't even have a weapon most of the time. If I do it's just a pocket knife. Animals are very skittish when it comes to humans. Only time they're trying to fight is when you come up on them when you're being too quiet and spook them. They might have their young with them too.
I love that you give Kyro his own sleeping pad and not make him sleep on the hard ground
Not so relaxing to experience sleeping close to a bear, but relaxing to watch on TH-cam 😄 excited to see the new adventure rig!
Just trying to be able to get down those forest service roads to join you 😅
@@MadisonClysdalee Hi. what breed is that dog? male or a female?
I am really enjoying your videos. You can communicate your love for the Wilderness with simplicity and pure storytelling✨
Thank you 🥹🥲
i only subscribed because she is so goodlookin and brave
Comfort in the silence. I agree.
Kiro is such a good travel buddy and quite stylish in his sweater. What a great camp spot for you both to enjoy.
Couldn't think of a better way to spend the long weekend. Gorgeous mountains and great storytelling..
Thanks so much
The storyline with catching fish is continuing. Everytime I watch these episodes I’m tensely waiting, if she will finally catch a fish, but we have to wait until next episode I guess. 😂 It was still fun to watch no doubt. 😃
Hahaha send help 🎣
@@MadisonClysdalee Maybe if nothing will work, then you need to train Kyro to steal fish from the bears😜🤣 But I’m confident that you will catch a fish sooner or later, maybe you should switch the bait again. The bait is very important, because fish are very particular with their hunting/taste and they change their behaviour during seasons. It varies also between the different species, that’s why I think you should focus on one type of fish that is most common and select the bait for it.😜👍🏻
@@MadisonClysdalee Did you upgrade to a better rod and reel? Maybe consider using a bobber and worm.
It is pretty much a surefire way to catch fish for beginners.
Love your adventures, keep it up ❤
I've been road-tripping and camping out of my 2008 4Runner for years. I removed the back seats, built a platform, a 42 inch drawer and a couple shelves. I use a Jackery 1500 for power. It's a great setup in a reliable off-road rig. I highly recommend it! I love following your adventures... keep them coming! Good luck with the fishing. Camp-cooked trout is (in my opinion) just the best! :) :)
We recently got a 3rd gen 4Runner for our adventures and absolutely LOVE IT. It’s super spacious, has great clearance, and is really awesome off-road! It’s the perfect adventure truck! Highly recommend!! 😄
I'm a big hunter and hiker, so I do a lot of weekend trips by myself for deer, and week long trips with my dad for elk. We pack in and get away from cell service, a great way to get out and relax the mind and stress relief after the 50 hour a week work grind.
I am avid solo backpacker who hikes with my dog too. She is my best friend. We have hiked over 400 miles since last summer. Your video was beautiful. What a beautiful area to hike.
The trees you showed were alpine fir not western larch. The needles on larch are much softer and thinner and yes they do turn yellow and are shed in late fall. I am glad the bear kept going and did not return in the night. Great video, beautiful scenery, much respect for you and your trusty dog!
I'm amazed that this was your first bear encounter, especially as you favor the back country. In my very first trip to the Canadian Rockies, two weeks ago, to the highly touristed Moraine Lake, in Alberta, a momma bear and her cub were close to a main trail. A video taken from other tourists just four days later showed the momma and cub following them on the trail...not threateningly, but only about 10 meters behind the tourists. I myself would be afraid to hike the back country alone.
Very positive young lady who is happy and inspirational. Love the dog. So well behaved. It's nice to enjoy beautiful surroundings alone with her buddy
The sounds in the last 5 seconds of the video was awesome
Oh Madison, I envy you so much. To be only a few hours away from those beautiful mountains and
that pitch was the perfect spot. It brings me joy seeing young folks such as yourself with such a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
Eternally grateful. Thanks for being here
@@MadisonClysdalee You making videos Tuesdays now?

Beautiful brunette, by the way.
Someone had to say it.
I’m partial to your depth of soul and your appreciation for what’s real.
Omg the nature is breathtaking! I would probably cry to see it in person.
bears do be rustlin' around tents. they also go unseen or unheard most of all.
A toyota tacoma with a canopy on the back makes for a great adventure mobile. I have a bed and drawer setup in the back. Works well for stealth camping or basecamp for hiking.
thats alot like myself i love being ny myself out in the woods i love the silence, no cars or ambient noises
I spent two months doing what you're doing. I'm from Charlotte NC and I also only used my truck for camping. I took all the seats out except the driver's seat and used the passenger side for my sleeping bag. It's an experience that everyone should have at sometime in their lift. Safe and enjoyable travels to you!
nothing more scary when a bear visits your campground in the middle of the night...been there done that!
What a beautiful place. Your energy and smile, how your puppy just loves you. It's a wonderful way to just escape what the world has become. Ty for you hard work and excellent content. You quickly became one of my favorites. Foresty forest has been my favorite for years. I built a tiny home box truck because of him. I'm soon to be 61. I do some of what you do but my body is sore and hurt from years of hard work. I dearly love seeing all that y'all do. I pray for your safety and admire your courage. Such a deeply happy smile you have. Ty for sharing what you do. Sincerely
Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!
Genuine and unaffected, commendable.
Another great video👍, i totally get why going solo is therapeutic for an empathetic soul. Looking forward to watching your next adventure!
Thanks for being here and your kind words 🤍
Beauty is fleeting, Madison. Flaunt it while you can; you know, between the silence and the noise!
Great video. I love your positivity. Keep those videos coming. Enjoy and be safe out there!
I love my Toyota Tacoma with a rooftop tent. For safety you might want a 4wd van where you can pass to the drivers seat from your bed. Or get a camper shell for your pickup with a pass through window.
It's amazing that you wake up and have the face of an angel.
Awesome video! If you get a pickup truck with a 6 foot bed they make tents that are built to go in the back of the truck. That would get you off of the ground and maybe more safe from bears.
Sounds fun! But a pop up tent wouldn’t work for me because I’m stealth camping a lot of the time. Thinking about a hard sided truck camper
For your camping style, a 4runner is the best bet -Toyota 4runner Off-road or Pro trim. I currently stealth camp in a 4runner Off-road with minimal DIY job on it. @@MadisonClysdalee
Amazing scenery. Thanks!
I really like this channel a lot. Thank you, Madison and Kyro. Love from the USA.
Madison, I traded in my Rav4(2017) for a 4Runner (2016) to handle the FSRs better. Get a 4Runner, put some KO2 tires on it. When you reach an FSR, use a tyre deflator and deflate down to 18-20psi. You will have a very comfortable ride and open up so many new camping spots. Good luck!
Loving your videos! Stay safe out there! Love from Cape Town, South Africa.
I was just reading that Pine-sol, pine oil, lysol, ammonia, bleach and apple cider vinegar are all smells bears hate and spraying any of them around the camp will repel bears. Also garlic or mothballs will repel them it said. It said a bear has to get within 25-30 ft for bear spray to be effective. That's close! Be nice to repel them before they get close, so cool that you arent afraid to camp among bears, great vid, thanks!
Bear spray ain't like mosquito repellant, u gotta spray them in their face!
I love camping with my 2 door Jeep Wrangler. For sure recommend :)
I always call those snafus scouting missions and even tho plans get shifted, those missions are important. But gosh, all the tail wagging and playing with Kyro makes this video especially awesome! That spot was incredible and those larch are going to look spectacular before too long. Thanks so much for sharing that experience 🌲
Extraordinary scenery, be safe…
My experience with fishing in the rain is - just before it rains the fish will turn on, & just as the rains stop the fish will be on a feeding frenzy. So yeah enjoy the rain.
that Subaru can definitely handle a lot more
Also i love watching you cook. It was shorter today. 😊
Nice video and some beautiful scenery! The bear was the perfect touch too. But not too close :) I would definitely recommend a 4Runner for more serious overlanding since you're pushing the limits of your car now. Either a TRD or even the base SR5 model would be great. You can haul more gear on the roof rack and it's great for stealth camping. You can add a sleep platform behind the seats and some blackout shades for the windows.
Nissan Xterra 2010 to 2015! I've got a 2011 Xterra Pro 4x now and I love it. Perfect adventure rig. The back seat bottom cushions come out easily (via a lever) and then when the rear seat backs fold down its almost perfectly level. And with about 3' height too which is enough to easily sit up. When a Rubbermaid Action packer (small storage box) is added in the rear seat footwell you'll get about 6' length of perfectly flat space. Xterra's are 1/2 the price of a 4Runner and 90% as good! Check them out! Only downside is fuel economy so its not a good daily driver. I use mine for adventures only.
A real hiking and camping vlog, refreshing. You weather is like here.
The views and mountains you've got in the west are truly breathtaking!
Hope I get to hike in BC sooner than later too 😊
Your videos and so enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work, Madison!
That was really smart to eat, cook and hang food at the same spot well away ftom tent!
Thank you for being you! Your spirit and pup are definitely appreciated.
That’s one lucky dog. He’s living the life!
I always enjoy your videos happy camping and hiking. 😊☮️
That was a great day. Thanks for bringing us along.
She’s not alone.
Madison- regarding safe storage of food and garbage, the National Forest Service guidelines are 4 ft away from the trunk of a tree and at least ten feet off of the ground. Also, I think you would find it beneficial to watch my video that is entitled bear spray or gun. The information comes from my numerous years of bow hunting experience in the backcountry of the Rocky Mountains in Montana. Great job with this video!🎉
A wonderful moment for a peaceful day
Great advice on shaking off your gear to prevent the spread of invasive species. Hikers should also brush and scrape off their shoes as well as seeds can be inadvertently carried from one place to another in the treads of shoes. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Gurl I feel so comfortable just watching this video, this is literally my dream life🥺 best wishes for your dog friend and you!
You could keep the Subaru and upgrade to an all-terrain tire and a small lift but, if you want to be limited much less in where you can go the 4runner or Wrangler are a good option. More room, very capable even without modifications. You will take a hit in mpg though, probably 7 or 8 overall. Doing adventuring right costs a little bit but, it's all part of the fun! As for fishing, use light line and small lures to up your chances.
Very cool! Adventure on! My 4 year old daughter and I watch your videos together and she loves them! Thanks for inspiring people to get outdoors. Sweet to see more Canadian content!
Such a beautiful location. I have a fairly irrational fear of bears so I don't think going out in a tent in the back country is for me but it's absolutely beautiful and I can very much appreciate that 😊
A fear of bear is healthy it’s their domain. Bear spray is a minimum for chance encounters. Bears are predicable until they are not. If they are hungry they will not be deterred by bear spray. You have to accept the fact that a bear attack is a real possibility. I personally would not camp in bear country without a firearm. I also carry bear bangers.
@@louisevad6091 agreed. If I were to ever get up the nerve I would definitely want some sort of firearm.
There is no such thing as "an irrational fear of bears" (or sharks or any other creature that will rip you to pieces if/when they are hungry)-- you do not get to choose when you will be "IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME" !?! HOPE for the best--yes. PREPARE for the worst-- absolutely !!!
Prepare for the worst--absolutely !?!
Some people are so brave. And these people matter the most.
Thanks for sharing Madison. Where this hike took place? Looks to be an awesome place. I have noticed that you hang your food bag almost at ground level, would it be safer to find a higher branch, out of reach?
And to add to your comment about your vehicle, the Subaru Outback is a great reliable vehicle for the outdoors, lots of cargo space, high clearance off road, and with the cost of gas nowadays, you have made a good choice. There are always the Jeep type or any other SUV on the market. An old beater would be ideal. It's all depending on where your intend to drive to. I always tried to avoid dirt roads although this is where hikers finds great isolated spots. P.S. Locking your car doors is for honest people. If someone wants to break-in, they will do.
It's an Ursack, look it up. Use a scent-proof inner bag, and bears will likely ignore it, but moreover, won't be rewarded for their efforts.
Don't cook where u sleep.
Don't eat where u cook or sleep. Don't store ur food there either. So, 3 sites, or 4 if ur digging a cat hole... 😅
In the PNW, sorry, Pacific Northwest, and subalpine, there aren't many suitable trees to hang a food bag, PCT style so it's Ursack or bear canister. Ursack is the lighter of the two.
What a location. When you were above Kyro and the tent with the lake at the bottom below...wow....it looked like a puzzle picture.
I was taught to hang the food up ten feet and ten feet away from the trunk of the tree!
You have one of the first sponsors that I also totally recommend! Love your videos. Thank you!
I don't know where to start. Just discovered your channel and I enjoy everything on it. It is so rare to find beautiful, peaceful, positive content on TH-cam nowadays. And you are so beautiful and calm... Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I also envy you for living so close to probably the nicest mountain landscapes in the world. Greetings from Romania (also a very very beautiful country).
Stunning environment!!
Nature always romantic
Pretty place, remember young lady, bears don’t like dogs and dogs off leash bring them right back to YOU
Stay safe ! Nice video
Awesome camp with some amazing beautiful views.
What a beautiful place to be , Kyro really happy toooooo. Take care both
Fish get very excited to feed when it's raining. The barometric pressure makes them very active
Incredibly enchanting❤
Great video, beautiful landscapes. Be very careful with bears. Take care ❤
I'm working on a setup for myself to do weekend trips, and your videos are inspiration.
This has rocketed to my favourite channel. Even your sponsor part comes through with such sincerity.. And, you're amazing..
I really really appreciate the calmness you bring with this videos, stay safe out there!
A bigger rig would definitely help out you and Kyro can enjoy more comfort and safety
Good evening Madison & Kyro ! Another great video with an awesome location ! You’re a very loving & caring Mommy ! I think it’s great that you take the time to also think about Nature ! To cherish & to help keep it in it’s natural state ! Keep up the great work, stay safe & keep smiling !
Your videos are always very positive and charming! I hope your channel becomes so successful that you can buy whatever new vehicle you want 😊
If you want to sleep in the vehicle, try a suburban.
If you want to sleep in a tent, get a small 4x4 pickup like a Colorado.
Both have good clearance for forest service roads, much more than a subaru.
Just a thought.
Beautiful country!
You find really Epic places to camp. Great video and thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching you both have a great adventures. Have a wonderful day!
You’re awesome , my new favourite outdoorsman. I’ve been living your lifestyle for 40 + years and you are exactly where you need to be. Well done
Some very beautiful views 💖
Forestry Forest's 4×4 van seems out of all the channels I watch of vehicles camping/living he seems the most comfortable with a dog also
Awesome views in those mountains. I believe i would just sleep by the fire and fall asleep looking at the stars all night. Enjoy the hiking and exploring. Your dog has too love all the trips in the mountains im sure.Keep up the hard work and great content you show us 👍
This is what it's about! Get out there, and feel alive. I love your spirit ❤🔥
I like your videos because they present actual situations without theatrics; in other words I believe you genuinely present what you really experience without exaggerations . Keep up the good work !
amazing trip, breathtaking. awesome bear moment too
Where you are by yourself is the greatest place to be
Oh man that campsite you chose just brings back awsum memories, thanks for sharing another great video ✌
Stunning scenery! I struggle to switch off from life stuff when out in the hills, need to work on that to enjoy them more and leave the issue's behind at least until back home! Keep up the great videos.
Be very careful with bears, beautiful landscapes, greetings
Awesome location live in nature ❤ enjoyed the video
We love our jeep wrangler sport model we got the 2023 version with a hard top option row bars, ram guard like protections, etc. etc.
Another great video! I love how your videos are so pure, honest and relaxing to watch. With regards to suggesting a new camping rig I would say it depends on your preferences but you can look at Toyota Tacoma, 4 Runner, maybe Land Cruiser too, but as I said it really depends if you are looking for a truck to take you through tougher roads or just you would like to have more space. I look forward to your next video!
Wow where ever you are is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!! The colors are amazing.
