    This is my first eskate 😁😁😁
    Been riding OneWheels for 2 years so the learning curve took quite some getting used to, especially with adding a remote in the picture.
    Also learning a lot of things in tuning the board to your riding style like bushings, switched to riptide 70a/75a as it’s got more snap back to center without sacrificing the carve.
    Loving the experience for sure 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    Wow! I don't think I have ever seen e-skate content done like this. The production value is incredible. 100% giving me Top Gear vibes.

    Great review very well rounded. I’d like to add some things. This board is incredibly good looking. It’s very heavy and this is gonna be a drag by the grab handle board for anyone who’s not on steroids. I think those headlights aren’t great looking but they aren’t bad looking either. Pretty impressive they include extra lasers
    That crack in the laser housing isn’t too bad I’d just run it as long as u can and save ur spares
    Probably a good idea not to run red lights in groups but when I’m alone I run as many reds as I can. That’s what bicyclists do too.
    I’d just like to mention again at 58 lbs that board is a fat pig. Makes my OG lacroix nazare seem light.

      Glad you enjoyed the review.
      Yes, the board is heavy. But most boards with long range are heavy, and it's due to their battery size. I don't mind extra weight if I get extra range; though admittedly lugging the board around can be tiresome.
      Regarding the headlights, I suppose it is subjective but at a time when most board manufacturers couldn't be bothered to even have lights as an option, this was very much welcomed. I didn't have to use tacky shred lights (which even their top SL1000 is only half as powerful as Lorentz lights) & the Lorentz lights are branded. Pretty cool, shows a lot of effort on Lorentz part again on something that most board manufacturers would just skip right over in favor of profits.
      Re traffic laws, when you're solo indeed do as you please. But for Las Vegas Esk8Con you have to understand those attending represent the hobby/sport in its entirety. We ended the night being followed by cops threatening to ticket us all, and tbh that's the least of my concerns-- what if the PD & Vegas citizens get together & voice their displeasure with the city? Then maybe next year there will be no Esk8Con and we'll have no one to thank but ourselves. I do hope people can learn to ride more maturely & responsibly.

      @@skatevolt yes I hear ya but for example the new MBoards endurance 2.0 will probably weigh like 45 lbs or less and it’s going to have a 1700 watt hour battery.

    How many flats you getting with those wheels? I had to switch…

    • @skatevolt
      @skatevolt  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the quality of the roads you're riding on. The more pot holes and abrupt drops/hits you take the higher the chance you will get a flat. I would typically go for about a week or so before a flat, sometimes though it would happen back to back. I would change a tube go for a ride & then catch a flat on the very next ride. Can definitely be frustrating but thankfully we have multiple wheel options.

      You misunderstand what my point is. Meepo has issues with vital components breaking such as the trucks, kingbolt, cutouts with the esc or controller and battery fires. With customer support that's basically just a middle finger. Your comment is short sighted, oh but I saved money! Did you? If it breaks while riding the hospital bills going to be impressive, if it has a fire well... the options aren't meepo or lorentz. There is plenty of middle ground where you can find better built batteries, smart bms, better cells, customer support that's actually decent, and cnc parts instead of garbage. Without spending +$3000

      It's not flexing to say purchasing a cheap board may be a serious mistake. They have poorly built batteries that could burn your house down. Cheap boards like meepo also have poorly designed safety issues such a remote disconnect while riding can lock up the motors and send you to the ER. Wow I saved so much money after my medical bills. They also have a higher failure rate which can makes that $500 go away. More expensive boards have better and safer batteries. More support with issues arise and part availability. I've used the cheap boards and a $1500 board. The cheap board is breaking down at only 900 miles. And the more expensive board has reached 4500 miles of pure abuse and I could switch out the parts and keep going if I have to. Plus the higher end boards start to leave just being an expensive toy to genuine transportation when you start reaching ranges over 30 miles
